Hummmm .. What a disappointment !! This is not anywhere close to a Beef Gyros !! What a disappointment .. I was looking so much forward to great tasting Gyros .. but unfortunately this one here did not do it !! Totally missed the taste .. by a mile !! Even the Meat .. not close to how a Gyros meat should be .. Even the tzatziki .. not quite the right taste. What I got was close to when your mom try’s to convince you that what she made was a Beef Gyros !! And it’s not !! I give you 1 star for the quality of ingredients .. fresh and the nice looking package I received .. Lacking the right taste . Not my choice Disappointing

It was very bad experience. I asked for the beef gyros after checking if the beef is shredded as it should be for a greek shawerma sandwich! It was chunks of meat didnt taste good at all , the meat had fat lines and something like plastic in it We couldnt finish the sandwich I dont recommend it

I highly recommend this home cooking experience to anyone visiting Amman. The setting is gorgeous. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. The recipes are flavourful without being overly difficult. You learn how to cook traditional middle eastern dishes in a fun and friendly setting. At the end of the evening, you get to enjoy the results of your labour. You leave full, with a smile on your face, feeling like you’ve been initiated to secrets of the local cuisine. You’ll also meet people there from around the world visiting Jordan.

Okay so I just wanna say that why why would I pay +3.5 jds for a chicken sandwich!! Not even a meal! I mean it’s good I’m not saying it’s not good! But it’s too expensive and the staff at sweifieh village branch were rude and not welcoming! The girl didn’t even look my direction the whole time!

This place shouldn’t call themselves or their sandwiches Gyros (they don’t even have the vertical rotisserie). If you are able to look past that, their kebabs (which are more like patties) are nice tasting both on their own or in a sandwich. Grilled shrimps are okay too. I like this place when I am not in the mood for the arabic kebab taste, as these are a lot more neutral and not as seasoned. The fries are really good, thick and crunchy and their tzatziki is not bad. Just don’t go there thinking you’ll get greek food.

Meh… Ordered the “mixed platter” for delivery through Careem. The picture showed that there was kebab included but I didn’t get any. Also the meat was very dry and flavourless. The tzatziki was decent. Wouldn’t order again though, below mediocre.

(Translated by Google) I visited this place on Friday at 2pm and this is their start date. Not a restaurant but a place to teach cooking is a place of genius and classics and the staff very friendly and very very lady who learn cooking. The best place to communicate with them before going to them because sometimes it is late to open and also to know the dishes they are going to cook. House City is located on the upper floor and downstairs also another restaurant named Najla Jamil as a decor but did not like the workers in it. I would recommend visiting City House without kids. Also, do not miss the enchanting view of the loibah overlooking the place. My greetings and a good visit.

Fun cooking classes! We cooked Jordanian specialties under the guidance of expert locals and charmed by the fun stories and old-style pictures of the Palestinian lady who manages the place We did not actually cook that much ourselves in the end, as the group was quite large (around 20 tourists from different parts of the world) but the number helped to have more fun while eating the result of our cooking efforts! Worth trying

The gyro sandwich is good when it comes to flavour, the bread is good and the fries are different from normal fries and are well seasoned, but the portion of meat in the sandwich is extremely little compared to a real Greek and also compared to the price, good place to try once but not adviced if someone wants to have a full cource meal for a cheap prices

  • 1/5 Hani Q. 1 year ago on Google
Disappointing.. No, no, very very disappointing.. Value for the money =2\10..Not the expected taste of gyro sandwich for those who know it. The meat is more suitable for Mangolian beef ( the Chinese dish). They even screwed up the French fries.. 😠 The canned Mirinda was good. Thus, the 2 points. It will take a miracle for a repeat visit..

This is not a restaurant, it's a daily cooking course. It's a fantastic experience, fantastic value and completely run and managed by women which can be refreshing given how rarely women might be seen elsewhere in Amman. You don't each prepare your own version of the same dish, but all contribute to a number of communal dishes. Veggies and vegans will have their own, slightly different, versions. It is bring your own booze, they charge a small corkage.

Very tasty homemade traditional food. The place is very nice and people are very welcoming. They can organize for you a cooking course so you can learn how to prepare Jordanian specialties and the eat them. It is expensive but it is worth every penny. You can also buy rare and tasty spices from their shop.

I was strolling through the streets of Amman hoping to eat something different than falafel (I love falafel but it was my main dish the past few days) when I spotted Beit Sitti and decided to walk in. Unfortunately, it is not a restaurant, but fortunately the team at Beit Sitti are all very welcoming and kind people. I felt very humbled and was very glad to taste this fantastic home cooked dish. Simply put, amazing people, food and ambiente. Must try when in Amman. Shukran again 🙏.

Such a fun experience! Our hosts were enthusiastic and hilarious! I am a terrible cook, but our authentic Jordanian food turned out delicious with a team effort and their help. We met fun people and every continent, save Antarctica, was represented in our cooking group. If you are in Amman, which I highly recommend, you should definitely make a reservation with them!

What a beautiful experience. I took my students who came from the US to study Arabic to do a different activity together, we had an amazing evening, place feels like home, with the help of Chef Um Reem, and the amazing facilitator/food educator Wafa’a, we enjoyed cooking magloobeh, not only a team building activity, also informative activity that ends with cooking and eating what you cooked with your group. What a beautiful evening. Thank you Bait Sitti for offering a home

Beit Sitti (a.k.a. My grandmother’s kitchen) is one of the best experiences in Amman! The home is charming, the food delicious, and best of all the hostess is a ton of fun and keeps everyone entertained and on their toes. She is truly wonderful. The staff are also so kind. One of our favorite things of our two week vacation. Do it! You won’t regret it.
