Great beach. We stay at the Fairmont so i can not comment on parking, showers, etc. We have travelled to surrounding beaches and by comparison Polo offers some of the nicest surf, sand and snorkelling. Many turtles can be found if you spend the time and the water is not turbid. It is on the beach walk and easily accessible from other hotels/condos in the area.

This beach was large and full of big waves, so fun with a large sandy beach. There were a lot of swimers, snorkelers, surfers and sun worshipers which means a lot of people, but hey this place is beautiful and clean so we loved it!

This is a beautiful beach with a walking path that traverses along the shoreline. The walk takes you through lush vegetation in addition to the gorgeous views of the ocean. Great way to spend the afternoon.

Great resort, great 2+mile paved path just elevated above the shoreline. Take a quite romantic stroll listening to the wind and waves.

As beaches were meant to be… Public parking is available but entrance to the beach (10’ wide public right away) is well marked. It’s about 1/4 walk from parking to the beach sand. Sandy part of beach is wide but beach itself is long coastal so you can enjoy a long walk and sunset is beautiful during the summer months There are area that sun worshipers were sunbathing in their birthday suits. I didn’t see any bathroom or wash off area and definitely no shops. If you are in Waikiki/Honolulu area and this might be a good day trip to get away people. Swimming in July was very nice even though it was a very windy day. There are no shades in the AM hours so take some that can withstand some windy conditions.

Beautiful beach with free parking and facilities. The surf is too intense for swimming or young kids, although there tweens with boards learning to surf.

This beach park is right on the ocean directly in front of the Fairmont Kea Lani. I like it because it has a large amount of shaded beach parking, a decent bathroom, good beach showers, a fairly short walk from the parking area, and numerous picnic tables. To get to the parking go past the resort (if you’re coming from Kihei direction) and take the first right, drive down past the other resort entrance and you’ll see the parking gates on your right. Note: if you’re planning on staying at the beach past 8:00 pm park on the road outside the beach parking, beach parking area closes at 8:00. Keep in mind the entire south Maui area normally gets trade winds ricocheting off the West Maui’s so expect rougher wind waves from noon on. If you’re going to stay in this area it’s beautiful but get up early to enjoy the beach and snorkeling but plan on relaxing at the resort pool from noon on. Don’t get me wrong, everything is relative, this beach can be enjoyed almost every day all year but the AM is the best. The pictures and video I’m posting with this review we taken between 5:00-6:00 pm HST, late July. Very typical conditions.

Nice facilities, picnic benches, grass, restroom, and showers relatively close to the beach. If you want a table go early.

Always a nice and quiet beach with nearby greenway beach access with public parking, shower, and restrooms.

Polo beach is beautiful. Almost every night there are a few weddings taking place on the sand. The waves are usually pretty calm and you can float around. The sand is soft. The shoreline walking path to the north is a wonderful walk to Wailea beach. Parking is decent. Short walk down to the beach.

I was shocked to see the beach was smaller and the water ad eroded the path to a more seculded beach in front of a condo that overlooked the area. Fairmont kai Lani guests were enjoying the area but were super respectful to other sunbathers. Their conversations were respectfully restrained, and they shared the beach and cleaned up after themselves

Wonderful beach in normal times. Right now a lot of the beach washed out by Kona surf

Pristine Beach attached to a resort but as its in Hawaii, it is public access by law. Bring your own chairs and settle in for a lovely time

Beautiful beach with great waves. The waves are too big and strong for small children, but they could have a good time staying close to shore, running in and out of the water away from the waves as children do and playing in the sand. My kids did that anyways and had an absolute blast! Bathrooms were clean. There are picnic tables for eating and showers for rinsing off.
