It really is the perfect beach to spend time with your family. It has moderate waves, wide sand, and if you're lucky, you might even see a turtle right in front of you. There's a public parking lot nearby, and showers are available to make it even more convenient. What a beautiful and relaxing beach.

Beautiful! The beach is wide and very, very long - plenty of room for hundreds of people to stretch out and not be piled on top of one another. Public parking is only a two- or three-minute walk away, with bathrooms and an outdoor shower. There is also a small cafe right next to the beach access. Awesome!

Parking was full, but we found a spot, we brought our chairs and umbrella from the condo, all we needed was the Huey Lewis song playing. The beach was soft sand. It was perfect. Cold show station to clean off, and a small dark bathroom to change cloths.

Beautiful water, you can snorkel, body surf, just swim and enjoy some great waves. This was our families' favorite beach while we were there. Parking was fairly easy to find but you'll want to get there earlier than later for best parking options.

Great place for a fun and relaxing time. Make sure you find a high spot on the beach so you don't have to move when the waves come in 😎🤙

This is really a good beach for kids and families; parking is nearby and there are public restrooms. The ocean is calm and we could see turtles and some other fish. We’d definitely visit again.

Fine, soft sand, waves strong and plenty of space. Would be great for some Boogie/body boarding. wave’s definitely strong and windy. Edit. Supposedly hurricane Dora is nearby today…

We visited this beach on August 16, 2023 just after Hurricane Dora passed a distant 500 miles south of Hawaii and the terrible fires in Lahina. Compared to the other beaches we visited, the waves here were the mellowest and the sand stayed shallow a lot further out than the other beaches we visited. This beach was ideal for young children, at least on the day we visited. We also spotted a number of turtles swimming right off the beach as well as a pretty good snorkeling spot on the south side of the beach near the rocks. There is limited public parking, but if you find a spot it is a great beach. There is also a bathroom and shower, which makes beach going much more pleasurable.
