Honu smiles and their staff are amazing. My anxiety goes through the roof when I step into the building due to having a toddler who does not favor a doctors office in general. She tends to scream and make things a bit difficult when it comes down to cleanings, but the staff always makes me feel more calm by telling me that “it is okay”. Their professionalism and kindness is what brings me back for their service. Thank you Honu smiles and staff!!!

Dr. Chang and his team were wonderful with my daughter. She is highly anxious about medical procedures, but she was very comfortable during her two visits for fillings. Dr. Chang expertly numbed her mouth and she didn’t even feel it. He even called after both procedures to make sure she was doing OK. Highly recommend!

Honu Smiles is an example, an excellent dentist's office to take your kids. The dental hygienists are sweet and very gentle during any procedure. The dentist takes the time to sit with you and your kid and explain everything you need to know about your child's dental care. The staff is very helpful And friendly. I highly recommend them.

Honu Smiles provides excellent care and a comforting and friendly atmosphere that keeps our three children happy throughout all of their appointments. They always make appointments for three streamlined and easy! The way their exam rooms are set up is perfect for families with multiple children.

Honu Smiles is a wonderful dentist office that makes your child feel so comfortable and they are well taken care of. The dental hygienists are all very gentle and sweet and the dentists are very caring and take the time to sit with you and explain everything you need to know about your child's dental care. Both my Children have been coming here for years. Excellent service as always. You can tell the staff love their job because everyone is very helpful and friendly, even with screaming kids in the background (my toddler was on of them). The staff stays calm and helpful with uneasy kids. Even though my toddler threw fits, the staff knows how to help you get through the appointment. I was grateful that the staff let me take my toddler to his big brothers appointment so that he could see how “he should be acting” during his appointment. He used to be scared throwing tantrums, kicking and screaming. However yesterday was the first time he remained calm and behaved. The clinic is very clean, and technology is up to date. My 11 year old loves it there, and 4 year old (FINALLY) loves it there. He says he’s not afraid of the Dentist anymore!

This place was amazing for our first visit! We moved to Oahu recently and my younger son (with mild spectrum Autism) has been anxious about a new dental visit here. He had a rough experience with our previous one. I explained this over the phone with the staff when making an appointment. They did very well with him and didn’t “over baby” him. He was nervous still, but came out happy. They did well with my older daughter as well, no complaints from her! Waiting room is nice, they have a TMNT mini arcade! Overall great experience and the MD has great “bedside” manner.

I was very nervous for my daughters first dentist appointment. I was ready for the screaming and biting. The staff at Honu Smiles are AMAZING, so patient, and walk you through everything before it happens. I appreciate that they allow you to be a part of the appointment and take the time to show you how to best care for your babies teeth and what to expect next.
