Nice little botanical garden. Limited parking out front with a bridge that heads over to Cherry Blossom trees. The main area has no entrance fee and is a nice and calming place to take a stroll. The layout is quite nice for such a small area. If you decide to go down the paths it's a little steep so be wary if it has rained (flash flood area at bottom as well} as it could be quite slippery, I would NOT recommend going down if it's raining as there isn't that much to see even if the weather is nice. More than worth your time to visit and give it maybe 30 minutes.

Excellent free botanical garden. Lots of neat trees and flowers. The Rainbow Eucalyptus was especially pretty. There is some hillside up and downs via stairs and ramps. There are volunteers or workers here, but they didn't seem to talk to people. No gift shop or souvenirs for sale. There is a space for group gatherings. There is also a grass area that is flat to hang out and they have mat you can borrow to sit on. Small parking lot, but it was large enough people were able to park when we visited and it was busy. The bridge doesn't actually go to the garden, but gives you a view of the garden and goes to a neighborhood.

Beautiful escape to nature if you are in the area. The gardens are well maintained, and the tree coverage is perfect on hot days. And there is no fee!

This was a nice garden experience. Open from 9-4p most days and free entry in Central Oahu. The paved parking lot is on the smaller side but there is designated space in the grass along the side for more parking. Stroller friendly for the most part... there are some steep hills and rocky paths for the more adventurous. The front desk lists what flowers are currently in bloom, the rainbow eucalyptus trees are my favorite.

Beautiful gardens in the middle of town. Its so deep and spacious. We took many photos and I don't know if it normally costs (if there's a fee) but we went for free and got a great work out as well

Ended up here and found this gem after touring the Dole Plantation (the garden there is not worth paying for) This place was absolutely stunning, grounds are perfect for pictures and with paved and marked trails. There are guard rails installed because it does get slick and some of the trails are steep. Great array of botanicals, trees, and wildlife. And Best of All it's FREE. Decent size parking lot. We went on a Wednesday afternoon at around 2:30 pm and we were literally the only people there for a good hour. Bathrooms are clean as well. They do close at 4 pm and they close off the parking lot so be sure to be out of the gardens by then. Definitely a must stop place of you are in the area worth the stop for a few hours to explore.

This is a nice free garden to visit that has some fairly short hiking paths through rainforest scenery. Some of these paths can be steep and include stairs so be prepared for that if you want to fully explore the gardens. All in all, it was a nice stop to pass some time and take in some of the unique nature.

This was a wonderful place to visit! I have always wanted to see a rainbow eucalyptus tree and they have several beautiful ones here! There is a self-guided tour that allows you to learn some interesting facts about the different foliage, although the numbers are a bit out of order. It was surprisingly large and easy to spent as long or as short a time as you choose. Keep your eyes open for the lizards! They are super fast but we saw a several during our hour and a half exploring this garden. Next time I will pack a lunch and sit on one of the many benches in the shade! Definitely need to take water and bug spray.

Such a serene gem. Entrance is free, and the garden is gorgeous. So many sprawling trees. Give ample time to walk through the garden. Wonderful way to spend an hour or two.

Absolutely stunning! The whole garden is beautiful and it's amazing that it's free and so well maintained. I'd definitely recommend a stop here even if it's a short one. We spent 1-2 hours taking our time with little kids but you could easily see all you need to much faster than that.

Open free to public with small parking lot. Beautiful tropical garden with exotic trees and plants. Some of the trees are very tall, or rare. There are pathways to self-guide visitors. Near the left end side of the park, there is stair-down paths to lower section of the garden. Bring bug repellant just in case as the lower section is moist and shaded.

One of my favorite botanical gardens on Oahu! Take the map so you don't get lost though, it is deep and dark in places. Lots of steps and rocky terrain so not for the faint of heart. It's free and there are many educational flyers for plants and birds.

What a magical place it was. My family felt like we were lost in a rainforest and such beautiful and new variety of plants and trees that we had never seen. It was so well laid out and directions and map were super easy to follow. The front seat was so kind and friendly.

Alway a very nice gardens to visit. There were some invasive tees like the Haole Koa's trees and some California grass that needed to be removed especially down on the river bed

The Wahiawa Botanical gardens were very enjoyable for me. I plan on a two hour visit. These gardens are a good stop on a round the island trip since they are about 15 minutes off the main road. Just after the entrance there is a bench to the right to sit on, one of three benches. The gardens are located in a ravine with steep sides. Most of the walk ways are paved. I took a slow walk, taking my time in going down and up. Most of the plants are not labeled so it helps if someone in the group is familiar with rainforest plants. Parking is limited.

A somewhat hidden gem! Includes a paved self guided tour and some gravel paths. Since it was begun in the 1920's, the trees are enormous! This time of year only a few blooming plants, but beautiful just the same.

We stopped here for a short walk to see some local plants. This place was originally an experiment to prevent erosion and preserve wildlife. It’s sort of a rainforest. There are some wheelchair accessible paths but a lot of it is rocky path. We didn’t see many flowers in bloom but the plants are pretty. It took a us about 40 minutes at a slow pace to make it through the whole garden. It’s free and there’s bathrooms

Stunning and expansive grounds. Since the visitor center and shop was closed, I feel we missed out on learning more about the space and nature. I enjoyed the handouts provided which did give detail on many trees and outlined the area on a map. Part of the walk is accessible to all; part of it is off trail with uneven ground. Overall I enjoyed visiting and hope to see the other botanical gardens on the island. I highly recommend bug spray or long clothing!

This is a nice place to bring the family that's has alot to explore and not to challenging at all. A couple uneven areas though out. But for the most part there's pavements and stairs to walk a long. So many beautiful trees and plants to look at and they all are labeled to name's and it's history. Parking available, public restrooms and water fountain, bring a hat, and water , bug spray to enjoy your visit here. I hope this helps you out and have a great day.

Very Beautiful! My kids and I met up with a friend and her kids and they ran through the paths exploring and enjoying the nature. They loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed it myself!! We all got bit up by some bugs though. Make sure you use bug spray prior. But otherwise the trees provide perfect shade and coolness on a hot day. Lovely.

This garden was beautiful and had plants& trees I had never seen before. The best part is it's free and you can walk through it at your own pace.

I really liked this cute park with tropical plants and trees. Staying in North Shore it has been a challenge to find tropical trees for some reason. The park is super cute! I wish it was further from the road to avoid the noise. The area around the park is super sketchy though.

Pretty small but beautiful garden that takes less than an hour to walk through. For a free experience, it's really good value. Mosquito repellent a good idea. Bathrooms are clean.

What a delightful little botanical garden. Quiet, lush and serene. A perfect place for a picnic. No staff, you just walk in and stroll as you please.

We were visiting from the mainland and totally enjoyed the quiet walk amoung trees and flowers that none of us had seen before. One can simply enjoy the beauty or access the numerous educational materials and learn about the plants. As a city park, the experience is free and can be enjoyed by everyone of any age! All of us - from 2 to 73yo - were entralled.

Beating botanical gardens close to the north shore. This garden has rainbow eucalyptus trees. Walk through to see all the beautiful vegetation of flowers, greeny and more. Free to get in.

Awesome little place hidden away. Beautiful little trails through well labelled trees and shrubs. Paths are paved and can get a little slippery in the rain, but the handrails were helpful to stabilize.

Visited Monday, 21 February 2022 This was a quick and easy outing. The Botanical Garden is right off of California Avenue and has a very small parking lot. Both parking and entrance to the garden are free. As you enter, there are the offices to the left (they were closed since it was Presidents Day) and bathrooms to the right. Surprisingly, the female bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The trails throughout the garden are paved, some were gravel, and others were concrete. There was a lot of moisture in the air, and it had rained earlier in the day, so the downhill concrete trails were slippery. But, there are handrails and signs posted, advising visitors to use the handrails. There were huge, sprawling, beautiful trees throughout the garden. Each tree/plant was labeled with its scientific name, and some included the plant's origin. There were a few information podiums that described the trees or its fruit. The fig tree is one such example. We also saw Palmer the Camel. I wished there was a back story about it in addition to the artist. Back in the parking lot, there is a bridge at the end of the parking lot that looks like a part of the Garden, but it leads to the road behind the Garden to the nearby neighborhood. It was a great place to take pictures, and there was a cherry blossom tree near the road. Like us, I saw a few visitors venturing towards the bridge. It had a great view back towards the garden but not much else. I'm not sure if it is even part of the garden. Overall, it is a quick outdoor experience for everyone.

Soo Beautiful!!! I love that its a free activity! We went a little off trail and it was difficult with the stroller. And I don't recommend wearing white shoes like I did.

Excellent place to spend time looking at all the flora.. Can spend 30-90 mins.. An easy stroll with a few steep climbs (should be doable by many)

We saw this driving by and stopped and it was amazing. Lots of little pathways and various gardens and while one trail was closed due to muddy and unsafe conditions the rest of the garden was simply fantastic. A quiet, beautiful respite on an island that often feels very busy. We loved it.

Located in town, you will be surprised how quickly you are immersed into the beautiful botanical world. Plants of all kinds fill the grounds. The paved trails are perfect for a stroll, but you also have the opportunity to get off the paved path and explore the creek bed. It's a beautiful garden and worth the visit.

Very beautiful and vivid green. I highly recommend bringing mosquito repellent to fully enjoy the experience. Free admission. Parking is easy to find and not super busy!

Just a great garden to visit. Energy is really good and it’s a really nice walk inside with different kind of trees and flowers. Also, it was free admission and free parking.

I was actually pretty impressed with this place, especially it being smack dab in the middle of Wahiawa, a place that many tourists pass by on their way to the north shore from Waikiki. This garden was great and its very well maintained.. Best of all, its free for everyone to enjoy!
