#grateful Went here for the first time today and even saw my old thai restaurant bosslady, Som, from Red Elephant Thai Cuisine ! Its so cool this place exists, because i could feel the community and community is so important. and that they leave their doors open for all people is even better. There are requests to not wear shorts and t shirts and to dress modestly, because there are chantings and prayers which happen concurrently to the thai food vending. I hadnt know prior but nobody said anything to me probably due to the aloha spirit or the sanctity of the space. I had an awesome connection with this thai tea and papaya salad maker, Phet, and will definitely be coming back as often as possible. Their land is awesome, too and i highly recommend a little stroll to their pond to see the turtle and some of their forest garden. Come one come all!

Every 1st Sunday of the month they have a fundraising for the Monks at Wat Thai Buddhist Temple. They have a booth that makes fresh papaya salad (made to order) and generous with her Thai iced coffee!!! They also have good fried food from huge fried chicken, fried apple bananas, yam (purple & yellow) to spring rolls!!! Not to forget the booth with variety of pho soups!!! That's why I was there for the 2nd time 🀩. ACTUALLY, I was volunteering for the Vaccination and Booster tent with FILCOM CARES .

We occasionally check in this Buddha temple on Sunday, and they have a fundraising food market. It happens every Sunday. I tried the hand crafted papaya Thai salad Buddha bowl and it was delicious πŸ˜‹. After the meal, walked in to the temple for meditation and go on with my Hawaii trip. Love this place.

I normally come during the rainy season for their open markets. Super delicious all around. The cut off kam highway is kind of hidden.

Food was being cooked and served on site. The Thai Consulate from Los Angeles was in town for three days to service local Thais with government documents. One vendor explained that they serve thai food every first week of the month but this particular period since the Consulate was here, they offered food. Although portions were like in Thailand, small, the prices were high. The pork jerky was the best of three entrees that I got. Next month I'll check it out again to see if there are other offerings. The land looks like a nursery with an herb garden and a fish pond. Ground was muddy so prepare a mat for the floor when you return to the car.

You can feel loving kindness emanating from people while eating at picnic tables in a natural setting. A wonderful place.

Amazing Food Parking is a challenge. But great food. Really nice people. It's a temple so the expectation is cover your legs and arms as a respect.

Went to the temple on a Sunday morning. Wanted to get the fish cake but it was sold out. Got to make my own papaya salad. It was an experience.

This is where you get authentic Thai food in Hawaii. They only open Sunday, cash only but everything is super cheap and affordable. It’s a way to support local temples and the monks. I love the curry they have

Absolutely love the Sunday food markets they host here once in a while- check their FB page for announcements on schedules and menus. They're cash only and plenty of roadside parking leading up to their front entrance and also inside. They have a couple consistent menu options that are great - like the $5 fried mixed plate (with fried banana, ulu, sweet potato, taro, and egg rolls), Thai tea, Thai coffee, sugarcane juice, Longan juice, and stewed pork noodles. Also got plenty of rotating curries and entrees at $10 each and many snacks and desserts at $5 or less each. Often sell out of things in the afternoon so go earlier. They're strictly cash only, so bring plenty, and enjoy their ample outdoor seating, much of it covered! :)

Stayed at the temple for 7 days. The abbot provided very good service and took us on excursions around the island.
