I've been customer with this place & their food was always good. However, yesterday the chicken has black thing all over it & some of it was also not cooked well - kind of leaky. I sent pictures to the Manager as request but he said it's bone marrow & the food is actually cooked. why would bone marrow will be all over the chicken & how is that possible when it looks like a charcoal & that is not only one chicken.4 of them not cooked & 5 of them has the black things all over. The sad Part is the Manager didn't even took it seriously. No more for me this establishment.

Yesterday I visited this place. This place is great! the place was good and hygiene, Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff is also really friendly, the staff named Ferzan was friendly and his service was excellent. I would like to go to that pace again and again. Thank you 😊

Last 2 times I’ve been here food and service has been amazing hence why I’ve brought my fams here for the 3rd time this week. Dehami and staff make us feel welcome every time. 5 star service. Thank you. Update: ordered food tonight and ate in. Asked for a bag to take leftovers and was told they don’t provide bags for those who eat in. Really? How dumb, won’t be returning anymore. (Lady served) And if I have to I will say takeaway and eat there.

One of the craziest place to be! Purchased a meal and turns out the chicken was uncooked (pink) and then got one piece replaced. Later on saw every single piece was uncooked. Asked for a refund and they said they need to talk to the head office and will get back to me next day. Waited all day next week and no response, called the store and spoke to a different manager and they said they'll call me in 10 mins but waited 2 hours. Rocked up to the store and they said they will only refund partial amount, which is fine but they wont refund for a wrap we gave back as well and the spicy bites. The Manager said thats how their chickens are cooked! Um no its not, i have tried chicking in Takanini and all their chicken pieces are well cooked on multiple occasions.

Went there last night and I had a great experience. The order taker was very friendly and courteous. Took my order and told me it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I got my food within 15 minutes. I had ordered the Value choice meal spicy. It was a fantastic meal. The chicken strips were spicy, crispy and still juicy. The burger was huge and the portion of fries were large as well. The potato and gravy was delicious. Thanks for a great meal.

I entered the the store and welcomed with a beautiful smile the guy name faizan is really helpful and cheering i love the service and hospitality will be coming back soon next time thanks

I can't believe the level of frustration we experienced during our recent visit. My friends and I ordered a mix of regular and spicy chicken, only to be sorely disappointed by the regular items. When we asked our waiter about replacing them with the spicier ones, he mentioned a potential delay of 15-20 minutes, which we were okay with. However, the situation took a turn for the worse when the lady behind the counter outright refused any changes and shouted this across the entire establishment. The lack of professionalism and respect was astounding. Instead of handling the matter discreetly, she chose to make a scene in front of all the customers at the billing counter. When we clarified that our concerns were not directed at her, a bearded guy, emerged from the kitchen and lectured us about respecting her position as the store manager. The entire encounter left us seething with frustration. The absence of basic customer service was glaringly obvious. We had hoped for a pleasant dining experience, but the way our concerns were dismissed and the subsequent confrontation left a bitter taste in our mouths. Needless to say, we have decided to steer clear of this establishment in the future.

Such a great team, and the tandoori chips are 5 stars on themselves. We come from the city for these. Gone in 5 seconds

I had a fantastic experience at this place. The service was top-notch, especially from a staff member named Faizan. He was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. One of my favourite places to order food from. As well the staff and specially Faizan he is to helpful for selecting the items along with great service, The best thing is that the food rates poxket-friendly. Quality as well as quantity both are excellent. It was so delicious that we couldn't stop licking our fingers. Delivery was on time and the food was hot when arrived. We ordered big bite bundle and spent $40 for the meal. It was literally awful. Chicken was really dry and disgusting. We couldn’t even eat or give it to our baby. Went all the way from Te Atatu to Glen Eden to get the meal but experience has really put me off. We have been to several other Chicking stores and never had this issue. Looks like the Chicken given to us was cooked a day before or early morning. Never going there again and not recommending anyone to go.

Great service, friendly staff, haven’t been there for a while but great to be back. Nice ambience… The tandoori burger and Kiwi combo was amazing and really delicious. Will definitely be back 😀

I recently visited Chicking on West Coast Road and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The food was also reasonably priced, and the portions were generous. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the quality of the food. While the chicken was well-cooked and tender, the coating lacked flavor and was somewhat greasy. Additionally, some of the sides I ordered were a bit overcooked and lacked seasoning. Overall, while my experience at Chicking West Coast Road was not perfect, it was still a decent dining experience. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite, it's worth considering.

Ordered the party feast meal yesterday. Faizan and his team were amazing as they fried new batch of chicken for me and my family. The chicken came out fresh, crispy and juicy. Overall experience was awesome although the food came slightly late. We will be coming again soon. Anyway i came on Friday and there were parking but not many. Im sure on weekends, it will be hard to find parking.

Excellent food & service, I often visit to glen eden branch, my son loves their chickpop and crispy chicken. Tehami and team always willing to go extra mile to provide fresh and delicious food.

We have ordered orginals and spicy but when it was served originals look very different from what we expected so asked whether it can be replaced. The person who served us was polite and he said that is absolutely fine but will take another 15 minutes. Then this lady (with cloth on her head just mentioning to avoid confusion because we have seen very polite ladies in the same counter before) the counter shouted saying no it can't be done. She was very rude and showed no respect to us as a customer. So we told her we are not talking to her,she came in between a conversation. Then other guy was like she is the "manager" of the place. I don't understand how can a manager behave with zero people skills. We didn't got any change for food. I mean we are okay if things cannot be done, tell that politely. But we can't take disrespect. We paid bloody 80$ for the food that evening. She is really pathetic, she was shouting to those guys about this from the kitchen in Hindi later while we were eating. Absolutely zero customer service, very rude behavior and disrespectful. Owners should really look into this to avoid losing customers.

I don't often write reviews but I had a fantastic experience at Chickings this evening. I ordered a family bucket combo that was delicious . Jiya was incredibly helpful and kept me updated on my order's progress with a constant smile. Her service was outstanding which made me write this review. I am looking forward to coming back.

The store has been promoting the Peri Peri double toasties on the menu but every time I order, they have them out of stock. When I asked the cashier today, they confirmed that it had been off the menu for the past 6 months. Why not update your menus then?

One of the worst service ever like other reviews! Took them more than 20mins to prepare an order of 3 pcs wings and a tandoori rice and did not even taste good. Its so sad. Even the diners were asking me how was I not served yet! Unbelievable!

Staff are great doing their best have to respect that, but at the same time you could go literally anywhere else including k chicken across the road which is also not that good but you know you got options here so I wouldn't bother personally. Again have to say staff are awesome friendly and will sort any issues but it's not their fault the food is bad it's the cost-cutting corporate management causing issues as usual.

Very disappointed. We are regular patrons of Chicking, normally buy Spicy chicken, today it was surprisingly a run out but it was only 8.30 pm on 19/07/23 when we ordered. Then I had no other choice but to order the original one which was totally rubbish, cold, stale, looks like kept long in a warmer & in the cardboard box for long but it was cold & lacked taste, the potato fries looks like it been in the bin for quite a while, the coleslaw originally was large but again they run out hence made up by offering 2 small ones, the veg peices in it were fat to fill up the small container so less veggies but made it look full. Conclusion: I don't think I'll ever buy ChicKing again, like with many eateries they started good now nose dived to very low quality food & poor taste, infact this time, like a few times ordered before, some of the peices served could not be recognized? Was it a breast or thigh peice, therefore based on all of the above I will never visit again. Therefore think twice before you buy ChicKing. Tried for the first time via Door Dash, the chips were nice but a bit small, Got the Tandoori Wrap and it was nice and spicy, shame the deal is smaller when ordered via Door Dash

Popped in while almost closing up 😅, but these guy were nice enough to sell me food at a later time which is very nice of them and were very friendly. Good service to making sure on what I wanted with my order too.

Place was nice and clean. Pretty New building nest and tidy. Loved the decore. Went in L2 so few tables closed.food was hot and fresh so I didn't mind the wait time which was over 10 minutes. Tandoori chips were great.

Nice and clean place. Beautiful customer service from the young Man taking our order! Our food was all cooked fresh (wait wasnt too long 10 to 15 mins) we ordered the 5 in 1 combo meal. + reg coleslaw, The chicken thighs were XL and the coating is amazing. Burgers were tasty and simple 😋 👌🏼 the coleslaw!! I loved it. Thick and creamy sweetness. Paired well with the potato and gravy. The fries were really nice aswell. There's also a sink to wash up when you're done too. My daughter had a tantrum and was touching and being loud and he was so nice about it, gave her a big smile. No pics since once we started we didn't stop. Also enjoyed the Playlist.

I’ve been here 3 times before and my experience was fine but when I went yesterday (and maybe this was just bad luck) the original piece chicken and the chicken in the burgers tasted REALLY bad. Like a strong detergent taste. I thought it was just me so I asked my wife if she could taste it and she agreed it did also. It’s a real shame because the customer service is always decent for me and the chips perfect every time. The chicken ‘tenders’ tasted fine too. But this experience has kinda put me off going back. Most of the reviews for the store are ok so up to you if you wanna weigh the risk and go.

Great service and yummy food. We had a meal for 4 people and it was plenty for all of us. The best part is that they have spicy version. Definitely will visit again. Thank you to the lady at the reception for giving my little boy a toy car. Surely made his day 😊

Went to Chicking Glen Eden yesterday visiting the area and thought we have lunch ordered the combo value meal at $19.40 ×2 ( drinks are extra by $2.50 small) registers werent working so the guy had problems getting the eftpos machine to work. We split the cost and he said that it was very slow and apologise this took around 10 minutes b4 the owner came back as he was not around. The staff member was very polite and apologetic but was told to go and cook our order while he sort the register and eftpos out. We waited another 5 minutes however the owner was still trying to fix the register so i explain thats ok we will get a refund and go elsewhere. He was quite rude when i asked for the refund he abruptly said i am trying to fix it to give you a refund. Still not able to give us a refund he took $20 out of the register and i said i would give his 60cents back but he said no take it. We left while his rude behaviour was felt that customers value was not important waiting all 15 minutes was not our fault that his eftpos machine was not working or that his staff was only doing the best he could and should not of been dismissed to go at the back to cook even though i had said i wanted a refund. Access was ok off the main road only one customer, half of the lobby closed with cleaning signs and atmosphere was due to the staff professionalism and courtesy to equipment not working. The owner said the staff member was new but that was not the issue it was how he reacted to us his customer service was poor. Quality of food we did not get to try it so that was disappointing. Overrall grade was a 2 due to handling and mannerism of the owner
