Really nice small garden centre. Has a varied range of outdoor garden plants. All ranges catered for from bedding plants to ornamental or fruit trees. Also supplies a range of pots and planters, garden tools, seeds and propagation equipment. Also has a nice sized cafe which was really popular. Room for improvement with the houseplant selection. But otherwise well worth a visit.

Beautiful little garden centre. Was tricky to find with us not knowing the area. And the carpark was very small. But very wheelchair accessible. Had lots of gluten free options which was lovely. Best jacket potato I've ever eaten had different toppings for them that you'd never guess before! Lovely little garden centre lots of nice gifts and plants. They even had vegetables at the door to buy. Staff really lovely kind and welcoming. Definitely would come back!

We called here after a hospital appointment to celebrate that all was fine. It has expanded since last visit. Food is gorgeous and desserts are delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. We called at the Garden Centre after and mooched and bought some plants. Staff were really helpful and lots of choices and bargains to be had.

Ordered toast and toasted teacake, both with butter and preserve, according to menu. Arrived with no jam for either. When i asked about the preserve i was told it was extra!

It gets better every time we visit. We get everything for our garden from here. Don't go anywhere else. Generally stop for something to eat and a coffee which is also great. Highly recommended.

One of the best Garden Centers I have visited, superb selection of plants and just about everything else you could want for the garden.. Prices are very competitive when you compare them to the other Garden Centers I visit, with some great savings to be had on some top quality products. I called into the restaurant, just for a coffee and the service was very good and so was the coffee, so no complaints on that side of things, will definitely be calling in for something to eat next week and if I'm honest I can't wait. Cheers guys and girls. Andy...

Fantastic service. I ordered potting compost online, was telephoned minutes later by a lovely lady who confirmed my order and advised where to pick up. Collection was so easy and everyone was very helpful. Thank you Horticentre.

Lovely cafe. Although the awkward one would have liked more vegan desert options. 😂 The lady in the garden centre was really helpful, she gave me an education on spud growing for the Albert Bartlett seed spuds. Thank you. We will definitely return.

We thought we would try out the cafe at this garden centre. It's nicely positioned just outside of Middletown near the mining museum. The garden centre is very well stocked and beautifully laid out. Great selection of animal food for large animals as well as small. Wonderful selection of wild bird feeders and feed. As a professional gardener this is what I call a real garden centre not alot of homeware. Great selection of flowers and plants to choose from for each season. I could literally buy everything here for my 500 regular customers. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful Full of advice and support Definitely 5 stars from me

I visit regularly en route … good gardening /plant shop without too much other tat thank goodness. A good Yorkshire cafe. Food portion sizes are large I would say. Service from staff is uniformly excellent in my experience

Friendly staff, love it, but when we arrived at 17.50, they seemed to rush us out. We got blocked in my things they were bringing in. You close at 6, not 20 to. Shame, other than that they are great.

A cracking emporium. We got our New Year’s Eve fireworks, the chap helping was excellent and guided us through the various offerings. Parking on site is good and a great cafe.

Always friendly and welcoming, but can't help feeling that something has been lost due to the huge cafe, least of all the parking.

We keep returning here. This time for our Christmas tree which is a Lodgepole Pine. What a lovely tree, and very different from the usual Nordman For etc. We also had to get a singing Christmas bird which sings whenever anyone walks past it! Hopefully the batteries won't last very long!

The bistro in the garden centre was beautiful and we really enjoyed the food, they also had a highchair and lunch box for our grandson. The indoor section was nice to look around but the outdoor space was full of Christmas trees on our visit so we couldn't really walk around it in comfort but we will definitely go again

An excellent nursery with the added attractions of the Seed Cafe which offeds snacks and full meals. The vanilla slices are huge and to die for. Leave one for me! Toward Christmas there will be quality goods for sale beyond the usual items. The is a wildlife section with lots of bird feed available in small sizes to big 20kg bags for those like me. You can also pick up Hedgehog Food. As I do. We do need to attract and support feed our prickly friends. Its a must visit for me. I rarely visit other nurseries. There is no need to start with. Help readily available from the helpful staff. The front car park will take about a dozen vehicles. The overflow or rear car park which has a ramp to the shop more than that.

My sister and I go to the centre normally once a week, we meet there leave a car then drive to my sisters at flockton then walk back to the centre, we always have a drink when we get there sometimes buy flowers. Today we did the same, when we got to the car there was an envelope under the wiper saying can you call at reception which my sister went and they said oh you can’t leave a car here other people might want to park they were not very nice about it at all. So beware there is backstabbing going on and rude staff well there will be plenty parking from now on as we will not be going again.

Standard garden centre. Pretty good spring selection of plants and seeds. Had lunch at the restaurant which was really nice. Well cooked and presented. Recommended for the food alone.

I enjoyed our visit today. We had a very pleasant meal in the cafe/restaurant and bought some really nice, healthy plants. It is pricey but I suspect most garden centres and nurseries will have similar pricing.
