Yesterday was our first visit. Absolutely wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service & beautiful food! Will definitely be back & be recommending to everyone!

Absolutely lives up to the hype! This place was one of the best ‘stuff your face with epic naughty treats’ restaurants I’ve visited. There a lot of places trying do this kind of thing but they just do it better! Everything was perfectly cooked and super tasty. My only slight criticism is that they don’t sell alcohol on the premises but can just grab a pint from the pub next door which really isn’t a chore.

If I could give 6/5 stars ⭐️ I would! The first time I went here the guy who I assume runs the place was taking the orders and he explained the specials of that day.. he was so passionate about the food service and food he was providing it convinced me! And it did not disappoint! The second visit here I had the grizzly chicken and that was again 6/5 stars 🌟 this time I had a different person taking the order but still fantastic service. On my third time visiting today I has the chicken and waffles. Once again service was out of this world and the food was brill! If you are thinking of trying this place out, stop thinking and just go!

This is such a great place to eat .they have both meat and vegetarian options. The staff are amazing and really make this place the best dining experience you can get. I would recommend to anyone and they cater for small and large appetites.

Ordered the Mac and cheese burger and the poutine. Both were exceptional. The basic burger isn't expensive but you can add lots of different things. The cost goes up but it's amazing food - you pay for quality. I wish I lived closer.

Friendly and helpful staff, good menu selection and rocking tunes. Food was bursting with flavour, fresh ingredients and well prepared. Reasonably priced.

I haven't tasted food this good for a long time so fresh it melted my taste buds. The customer service matched the standards of the food, fast service, attentive and very knowledgeable about everything. Friendly service, huge choice, great quality immense food.

Our first visit but definitely not our last. There is a wide choice of menu items both sweet and savoury and we opted for the brunch options called Not for Goldilocks and a cheese/mushroom omelette. Our food was cooked fresh and the staff were helpful and friendly. The menu can be viewed via a QR code and the order can be placed online or at the counter. Coffee and tea were especially good value at £1.50 each. This is a local business with customer delight at its heart...and it shows. Toilets were spotless and on ground floor level. Bravo Gentlenen.

Polite and quick service, amazing interior and background music. The choice of food was vast. Allowing my carnivore bestie and myself being veggie/vegan to eat at the same time, while enjoying each others company. Easy menu to understand with it being on an app. Overall pricing is good value for the quality of food. Was lovely to find on Google maps, wish the restaurant all the best for the future.

Very nice food, however almost an entire burger has been wasted due to the order not being read correctly. As you can clearly see from the picture, we asked twice for the chicken burger to come without sauce and opened it to see it absolutely drenched. Disappointed to say the least

First time we've been here and we were greeted by what I deem to the owner and his colleague. Really really lovely people and spent a lot of time explaining the menu and the ingredients with such passion. The drinks and food options here amazing! Such great choices of food and different to your regular "burger" place. I thoroughly recommend this place and we will definitely be back! Best service and food experience in a long time 😃 Yes It was mid-week (Wednesday) and it was relatively quiet but still the service was impeccable.. I even think the chef / owner came to us to make sure everything was ok..He was very friendly and we just chatted in general and was discussing the super hot wings some other customers has just eaten .. The front of house manager was great and couldn't have done anymore to make us welcome ..Polite and not pushy at all .. The food was out of this world. I had the chef special of a chicken fried steak on top of the standard steak mince burger.. wow 😲 ! With a handful of fries and a delicious marshmallow milkshake... My friend has a chicken burger and a giant millionaire caramel slice ... It was all delicious and delivered with a smile .No pressure to make tips which was refreshing too .. We'll definitely be back for another visit soon guys.. 5/5

Amazing food. I think the best of this type of cuisine I've ever had. Beats all the big names such as Almost Famous, MeatLiqour, Reds True BBQ etc. Only issue was delivery took 1 hour and 40 mins, it did say approx 1 hour. The good news was it was still warm when arrived and I can only assume the long delivery was because of how popular this place must be

Absolutely thrilled to come across this independent burger bar. We were a large party celebrating a couple of birthdays. The staff were fabulous, efficient and completely unflappable! Thank you. Do come hungry… portions are generous and delicious! Our party tried loads from the menu. Double burgers, chicken burgers, vegan burger, Greek Salad, fries and kids (cub) menu. Milk shakes too. I will definitely come back. Apologies for anyone else eating in the small restaurant on the day we were there. We were a bit loud. Although it did go very quiet when the food arrived and we all tucked in. Yum!

Really nice strong filter coffee was a change from the chains. Food was of good quality and price which is a factor nowadays wasn’t bad. Service was bob on. And the place was clean with decent music on . I will be back. Sorry about photo I was half way through.

While I was at School, Mummy and Bradley went to Bear Kitchen they had an amazing experience of trying new foods and Mummy brought me some chips and BBQ sauce while I was at School. They had an amazing day at Bear Kitchen

First time we have visited The Bear Kitchen and it definitely won't be the last. Absolutely awesome food. All freshly cooked. Very tasty. If you haven't tried it i definitely advise you to take a visit. Friendly and very helpful staff

Probably the best kept secret about Wakefield! If you haven't been there yet, you need to get there. Don't let the austere look outside or the lack of large parking deter you. The food will be worth it. Nice decor inside and great food. Varied menu with excellent varieties of burgers, chips, nachos, drinks and desserts. Don't forget the specials which regularly change which can be seen on the website or Facebook posts. The website doesn't do the menu justice as can't see any photos like on Facebook posts. Go when you are really hungry so you can try a lot of the food! Excellent food and service. There are some parking spots on the road in front and on the side roads but don't let the limited parking options deter you. The food more than makes up for it. The owners need to consider taking photos of all the menu and link the photos folder on the website. They have options for kids and vegetarian and other options. The blue buffalo chicken burger in my opinion would have tasted better without the blue cheese and an alternative cheese instead. The spiciness of the buffalo sauce was good but even my family didn't like the combination with blue cheese. The house fries were good. The nachos are good as well. The banoffee cheese cake mess pot recommended by the venue was really good. Will try the orchard fruits version next time.

I'm right glad I got a 30% discount on this, utter rubbish value for money, read all the reviews looked at the pictures from there website looked great, just arrived £4 delivery everything clap cold, & I've had bigger Big Mac's, now having to make more food, £24 I'll never see again a bit like my custom, to all you people out there don't trust any pictures you see, what you see you don't get....

I honestly have no idea how people rave about this place unless eating in is a million times different to takeaway. Order arrived quickly but the majority of the items were cold. Burger incredibly dry (yes, we did order a topper for an extra £3.50). Nowhere stated that the salad on the Wrap would include celery. Highly problematic for somebody with an allergy! There's no good using the excuse of 'ask for it without celery' as celery is not a standard ingredient by any means. Couldn't have found wings with less meat on either. £42 and it was the worst takeaway I've ever ordered. Had I been in the restaurant it would have all been sent back I'm afraid. Never wrote a poor review for a local business before but this time its absolutely warranted.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. The quality is just absolutely supreme, fresh delicious and bursting with flavour. Would recommend the buttermilk fried chicken with any of the toppers because they're ace.

Best take-away in Wakefield by a mile! Their burger patties are the best I've ever tasted. Not fatty at all. Just really meaty and well seasoned. Order the triple!

Incredible idea and fabulous menu created by a gourmet specialist who is unmistakably enthusiastic about extraordinary tasting food! Stopping is risky and assuming you need to eat in it will be a bet as to in the event that you can get a table in light of the fact that there's just 3. My milkshake was phenomenal and thoroughly examined the toasted marshmallow an extraordinary expansion. Burger was a failure for me the patty inside was over cooked and a little intense, the seared pickles were a victory just like the corn! While it's extraordinary to have a broad menu I would address if in needs decreasing all together that you can focus on getting your fundamental things (Burgers) to the absolute best standard you can. Worth a visit!

First visit and definitely not disappointed. Worth travelling for the takeaway. Food was awesome. Definitely highly recommend. Young lady who served us was extremely helpful even though she was really busy she still had time to run through the menu. Delicious tasty food. 😋

Superb food, first class service. Placed an order and it arrived earlier than stated but sadly one of our sides was not included. No time to call, it arrived in minutes with an appology and a little extra as well. Many thanks.👍
