I love trying out food, and I love trying out different things. I came across HK vegan when I did a Google search and the reviews gave me the impression I needed to try it out. As a meat eater vegan food would not be my go to place, however I am open minded. I ordered a aubergine dragon, a lotus root dish and a salad. Love love love!!! Flavours was tasty and not full of MSG, presentation was great. Loved the black box it came in. Salad, it's not your typical leafy salad but a chinese noodle salad, great garlic and vinegar combination. Lotus root, very generous portion. Didn't feel thirsty after eating as well so that's a bonus! Doesn't matter if your a meat eater or not...Highly recommend. Will definitely be back soon

Delicious!! Feel so lucky to have a vegan Chinese takeaway so close. There was a small queue when we got there, it was awesome to see that it's becoming popular already! Heard so many good reviews, definitely going to be a regular customer. Yummy food, great service!

Great flavours, amazing food. The 'chicken' drumstick idea is really novel but meat eaters, don't expect the mouth feel of chicken. In fried rice dishes I imagine they use pieces. Make sure you do your research if you like tofu a certain way but one thing you can't deny is the flavours. I'll definitely be returning to sample some of their pure vegetable dishes.

Amazing!! Really like this place, lovely friendly staff, loads of choices. I got fake chicken curry, fried noodles, salt & pepper chips, fried rice, sweet & sour sauce. Was enough for 3 cost £15. Can't wait to try more!

Thank you very much to all the staff who since they have been open have been fast and courteous. The food has always been delicious and I cannot report having one bad meal. The food is varied and well seasoned and my favourites are the (vegan) fish curry and also their (vegan) chicken chow mein crispy. The chef is happy to make adjustments according to taste (hot/spicy/mild etc). Having a vegan Chinese is rare in itself and to have one in our own town is fantastic! Please support them! The food here is absolutely AMAZING. Although my husband and I are vegan, his parents are not. We ordered takeaway for the whole family and everyone loved it. The lamb dishes are excellent. The honey chilli chicken was the resounding favourite. You don't have go be vegan to appreciate delicious food.

Absolutely love this place the food slaps every time. At first I was a bit disappointed they don’t offer a beef alternative as I used to love a beef curry but the lamb is honestly incredible and works so well in everything! They also have a great range of more traditional foods on offer to try which is great as you can get your usual Chinese order plus a little something different. Cannot recommend the OK sauce dishes enough 12/10 every time. The host is an absolutely gorgeous human being too so lovely and friendly every time.

Without a doubt, some of the best food I have ever had! The salt and pepper prawns were something I had never even thought to try and were one of my favourites. Even my meat-eater father was asking for seconds of many of the dishes. Can’t recommend this place enough, you have to try!!

Used this place frequently as it was great that Wakefield now has a vegan Chinese takeaway. Started off pretty good, very tasty food however the last time the food was extremely bland...it's like they forgot to add spices....Singapore vermicelli and vegan chicken black bean sauce. We thought it might have been a one off but unfortunately not. We ordered tonight in the hope the food would taste as good as it did, again vegan chicken Singapore vermicelli was very bland..had to actually wok it and put spices in to make it taste like a Vermicelli. Ordered vegan chicken black bean sauce but got it home and it was vegan fish which again the food was bland...extremely disappointed. After using this place a while now we won't be going back; not having a 3rd time of handing over cash to receive what wasn't like it was before.

This is the best food i have honestly tasted from a vegan establishment. I have to break this down into two things customer service and food because i could not portray the correct and acurrate amount of justice the food and the people here provide. Me and my partner are both vegitarian and have tried so many places. We stayed at the premier inn and thought we need some food. We saw this place and thought we got to try here. As soon as we walked in they were so welcoming and such amazing people. They bent over backwards to help us and was some of the most amazing genuine people we had furtune to meet. So for the customer service its 5 stars. As for the food... where do i start... absolutely amazing. Its honestly so tasty and was some of the best food we have eaten in a long time! To quote my partner "i would be vegan not vegitarian if we lived here". The portion size was so generous and the taste was honestly out of this world. So for the food its 5 stars. Will definitely order again from these fine people!

Tried Hong Kong vegan today for the first time. I am not vegan myself, but I try vegan food when eating with my son and his partner who are. Firstly, the verdict from son and partner: Best Chinese, if not best vegan food ever. They were absolutely gushing over the taste and quality of the food. My verdict as someone who tries vegan occasionally: My meal tasted every bit as good as any other Chinese meal I've had. In fact, it was probably better. This place is a real gem, and we look forward to trying even more items from the extensive menu. Six out of five.

Amazing Vegan food!! Hong Kong Vegan is outstanding the quality and flavour of the food is just perfection and great menu with lots of variety to choose from. No other ordinary chinese stands a chance against this place every time we eat from here it's delicious. Great customer service they go above and beyond for you, 100% favourite takeaway in Wakefield!

What a find. This place was amazing. Exactly what I was looking for. Essentially a standard Chinese takeaway with normal prices but completely vegan. So much choice. Such good prices. Knowledgeable staff about intolerances. Cater really well for gluten free (although you have to ask). Food a little greasy but again this is authentic.

Really excellent Hong Kong style frying dishes. We have ordered frying aubergines, satay vegan prawns & spicy frying beans. All were nicely prepared and delicious. The boss and staff there are really nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

Really tasty food, quick to be prepared, I've tried a few things from their menu now. The lady that serves us is always really friendly. Even if you're not vegan the food is really nice, you'd hardly tell it wasn't meat. Its refreshing to have a vegan Chinese nearby as you don't tend to find them. As with most Chinese food places, they give you absolutely loads, especially with noodle dishes. Pay by cash only which is fine but uncommon nowadays. I would say though that the rice isn't as nice as it could be, often tastes a bit hard and very dry, but I just avoid rice dishes as the rest of the food is very nice.

Honestly, it's one of the best things to come to Wakefield. Having an all vegan Chinese takeaway is a dream! We've tried a few things now and settled on our favourite. Highly recommend chicken satay and the garlic & coriander fish dishes. They are cash only & do not deliver, but it be well worth the drive!

Absolutely delicious! Each of the dishes was so rich of flavours and unique, and very light. Even the fried food did not leave us with the heavy feeling of greasiness. Generous portions, everything is well worth the drive to pick it up. 10/10
