Not recommended for international tourists as most of staff doesn't speak English and they always approach you in German. The room was decent. Beds were comfy but double bed is just two single beds standing together which has its downsides. Bathroom was ok but lacked light - it was really dark there. Overall the room could use some cleaning - it was rather dusty. Most of the food we tried felt way too plain lacking spices although some dishes were really good, especially roast beef. For breakfast there was a nice variety of proteins and cheese spreads but everything else e.g. porridges, granolas, yoghurt or fruit mix was bad. The hotel is located in a beautiful park where you can take a nice walk and meet some unusual ducks and swans. There's also a Lidl nearby, so you can buy some crucial stuff like drinking water (there was no complementary bottle from hotel). Mosel river is a 10 min walk and Old Town is a 30 min walk away. I would recommend checking other hotels before booking this one.

Great hotel to stay in business travell. For dinner I try a schnitzel and it was very good.

Food and service were OK, but nothing to write home about. Seasoning of the tartar and also the sauces of the mains were a bit too strong and overloaded the taste of the meat/fish instead of just supporting it.

The food is simply great! Also the personnel is very friendly and often even thinks ahead. We had a beautiful day with our children, visiting the restaurant with the huge park.

Rooms don't have AC (only 4 in the entire hotel)

We had a wonderful stay at Nells Park Hotel. The hosts were very friendly and we even found some beautiful roses and pralines in our room, which was a really nice unexpected surprise. Breakfast in the park was excellent and we've really enjoyed the beautiful and quiet surroundings of the hotel. We will surely come back one day!

McDonalds?you should never ask about it.they are always Good.But if owners are reading it, i'd like to ask them to deliver the burgers a little bit hotter and warmer than usual.it tastes better.although i know that they do it always fresh.but personally i like it really hot😅

Great food, very professional staff and ambiance. The compound is nice and quiet. I loved the little lake behind the hotel. The breakfast was superb with a wide variety of eats and drinks.

The hotel location and environment is rrally great. If you are planning to go as a couple then this place will be good. But if you are in a businesses trip then this hotel is not advisable. They don't even have a proper internet facility. I stayed there for seven days. But barely one day i use the internet. Such a worst service even if we complain they are not taking much care. Then they dont even provide an iron box or an electric kettle in the room. All you get is a room with a scenic view of the park and lake. Hence if you are travelling with your family then it will be a great choice, since park and lake is nearby. But if you travel single then if you are ready to stay without internet then this will.be good place to stay. And regarding the restaurant, they have limited foods but all are delicious. Especially grilled Salmon tastes great.

Best rooms hotel located inside park

I have stayed in all of the main hotels in Trier because of a very long contract assignment, this is definately my favourite for the following reasons; the food is superb, the best I tasted. the staff are lovely and helpful, speak perfect English and are helpful when I try to speak German (which I am learning very slowly). my room overlooks a beautiful park. I like birdwatching and from the balcony I have seen woodpeckers, from the lakeside kingfishers. The atmosphere is not corporate, it has more of the personal (Family), which I find appealing because the staff seem happy. All of the rooms that I have in stayed at this Hotel (unlike the others) have been quiet, so important for me to sleep! Walking to the river is about 5 minutes, the Porta Nigra half an hour. I like Walking, there is also the number one Bus which I catch if overloaded with luggage or feeling lazy. They let me use a garage for my bicycle free of charge, which is great, this is a bike friendly Hotel. Theres's lots more I like but I worry that the review will drag on, I am short of time. To conclude, I really love this Place and have to give it five Stars.
