Der
Vorfall
war
im
Sommer
2021,
sorry
für
die
Verspätung.
Das
Positive
vorab:
Ich
habe
sehr
schnell
einen
Termin
bekommen
und
auch
die
Reparaturen
wurden
sehr
schnell
durchgeführt.
Ich
habe
mein
Auto
(BMW
318i
1995)
zur
Werkstatt
bringen
müssen,
da
der
Motor
im
Stau
bzw.
bei
längerem
zähflüssigen
Verkehr
etwas
überhitzte.
So
habe
ich
es
sowohl
telefonisch
als
auch
in
der
Nachtannahme
beschrieben.
Am
nächsten
Tag
kam
dann
schon
der
Anruf,
dass
der
Fehler
entdeckt
wurde.
Der
Kühler
sei
undicht
und
müsste
gewechselt
werden.
Das
kam
mir
etwas
seltsam
vor,
da
ich
vorher
keinen
Kühlmittelverlust
feststellen
konnte.
Da
ich
aber
absoluter
Laie
bin,
habe
ich
dem
Mitarbeiter
vertraut
und
den
Kühler
auswechseln
lassen.
Mir
wurde
erklärt,
dass
eine
Probefahrt
durchgeführt
wurde
und
das
Problem
nun
behoben
sei.
Da
ich
noch
leicht
skeptisch
war,
habe
ich
nachgefragt,
wie
lang
das
Auto
denn
laufen
gelassen
wurde
(da
das
Problem
ja
nur
im
Stau
auftrat).
Dabei
wurde
mir
versichert,
dass
es
lang
genug
war
und
mir
wurde
erklärt,
warum
das
Problem
auftrat
(kann
ich
ohne
Fehler
leider
nicht
mehr
wiedergeben).
Ich
bin
dann
mit
dem
Auto
über
100km
ohne
Stau
gefahren,
alles
war
in
Ordnung
bis
eben
auf
der
Autobahn
der
Stau
begann.
Der
Motor
überhitzte
wieder
(diesmal
bis
in
den
roten
Bereich)
und
ich
musste
in
einer
(zum
Glück
etwas
breiteren)
einspurigen
Autobahnbaustelle
ohne
Seitenstreifen
anhalten
und
abgeschleppt
werden,
was
nicht
ganz
so
ungefährlich
war.
Das
habe
ich
der
Werkstatt
dann
auch
so
berichtet.
Dabei
vermisste
ich
eine
Entschuldigung
oder
irgendeine
Art
von
Entgegenkommen.
Nach
dem
zweiten
Werkstattbesuch
sind
sie
dann
zu
dem
Schluss
gekommen,
dass
der
Lüfter
bzw.
die
Lüfterkupplung
kaputt
ist,
der
Kühler
war
also
zumindest
nicht
das
Haupt-Problem.
Ein
Bekannter
(Mechaniker)
meinte
dazu,
dass
man
den
Defekt
schon
leicht
beim
ersten
Mal
bzw.
beim
Kühlerwechsel
hätte
feststellen
können.
Ich
entschied
mich
also
auch
dieses
Teil
ersetzen
zu
lassen
und
wollte
wissen
inwiefern
die
Werkstatt
mir
jetzt
entgegenkommen
kann.
Das
war
dann
alles
andere
als
einfach,
mir
wurde
erklärt,
dass
mein
Auto
ja
schon
sehr
alt
sei
und
weitere
Ausreden
und
Rechtfertigungen
wurden
mir
dargelegt.
Es
hat
mehrere
Telefonate
gegeben
bis
ich
dann
halbwegs
zufrieden
mit
dem
Preis
war.
Fazit:
Fehler
passieren,
aber
ich
erwarte,
dass
man
dafür
geradesteht
und
sich
bemüht
diesen
wieder
gut
zu
machen.
Habe
ich
leider
nicht
erlebt.
Update:
Motor
überhitzte
wieder,
Zylinderschaden
als
Folgeschaden.
Da
ich
ein
Saison-Kennzeichen
hatte
und
das
Auto
zusätzlich
auch
sehr
selten
gefahren
wurde,
ist
dies
vor
kurzem
erst
festgestellt
worden.

The
incident
was
in
the
summer
of
2021,
sorry
for
the
delay.
The
positive
first:
I
got
an
appointment
very
quickly
and
the
repairs
were
also
carried
out
very
quickly.
I
had
to
take
my
car
(BMW
318i
1995)
to
the
workshop
because
the
engine
overheated
a
bit
in
traffic
jams
or
long
periods
of
slow-moving
traffic.
That's
how
I
described
it
both
on
the
phone
and
in
the
night
reception.
The
next
day
the
call
came
that
the
error
had
been
discovered.
The
cooler
is
leaking
and
needs
to
be
replaced.
This
struck
me
as
a
bit
strange
as
I
had
not
noticed
any
coolant
loss
before.
But
since
I'm
an
absolute
layman,
I
trusted
the
employee
and
had
the
cooler
replaced.
I
was
told
that
a
test
drive
had
been
carried
out
and
the
problem
was
now
resolved.
Since
I
was
still
a
bit
skeptical,
I
asked
how
long
the
car
was
left
running
(since
the
problem
only
occurred
in
traffic
jams).
I
was
assured
that
it
was
long
enough
and
was
explained
to
me
why
the
problem
occurred
(unfortunately
I
can't
reproduce
it
without
an
error).
I
then
drove
the
car
for
more
than
100km
without
a
traffic
jam,
everything
was
fine
until
the
traffic
jam
started
on
the
Autobahn.
The
engine
overheated
again
(this
time
into
the
red
zone)
and
I
had
to
stop
and
be
towed
in
a
(thankfully
a
little
wider)
single
lane
motorway
construction
site
with
no
hard
shoulder,
which
was
not
entirely
safe.
I
reported
that
to
the
workshop.
I
missed
an
apology
or
any
kind
of
accommodation.
After
the
second
workshop
visit
they
then
came
to
the
conclusion
that
the
fan
or
the
fan
clutch
was
defective,
so
at
least
the
radiator
was
not
the
main
problem.
An
acquaintance
(mechanic)
said
that
the
defect
could
easily
have
been
identified
the
first
time
or
when
the
cooler
was
changed.
So
I
decided
to
have
this
part
replaced
as
well
and
wanted
to
know
to
what
extent
the
workshop
can
accommodate
me
now.
That
was
anything
but
easy,
I
was
told
that
my
car
was
very
old
and
other
excuses
and
justifications
were
presented
to
me.
There
were
several
phone
calls
before
I
was
reasonably
happy
with
the
price.
Conclusion:
Mistakes
happen,
but
I
expect
that
you
take
responsibility
for
them
and
try
to
make
amends
for
them.
Unfortunately
I
didn't
experience
it.
Update:
engine
overheated
again,
cylinder
damage
as
consequential
damage.
Since
I
had
a
seasonal
license
plate
and
the
car
was
also
very
rarely
driven,
this
was
only
recently
discovered.
