This was a nice surprise for a Bar Pizza. The crust was crispy, the cheese was super fresh and the sauce was excellent. Loved how its and individual pizza with mini slices. The perfect portion per bite. This was a surprise find and will definitely be back here for sure. Great Customer Service with excellent food. Great Job.

Food is delicious. Had Shepherds Pie, which was great but for some reason didn't have peas and carrots in it. My wife had grilled chicken on a roll with gravy and mozzarella, great. The Irish Nacchos are a meal in itself! The only downer was the 2 or 3 flies that kept us company during our meal. Will definitely come back here but not in the summer

Always have a great experience at nellies! Pizza wings & salad are top notch! Shout out to Elkin & the wingman! Connor - both of em are awesome waiters! As are Chris & Karen who always have time to say hello in the busy environment! Wonderful place! For all ages!

I first went to this place in high school and now I go visit about once every 6 months. The pizza is still great, it’s not over priced, great family place but the only thing missing is the salad bar. The salad bar was one of the things that made this place great and since Covid it is gone. I haven’t been there in a few months, hopefully they brought it back.

One bite, everybody knows the rules. Portnoy was spot on with his 8.1 on this bar pie. Flop is nonexistent, super thin, the cheese is delicious, and sauce amazing. An amazing bar pie. We got Elkins wings which were delicious and extremely packed with flavor, each bite was a wash of flavor - will try the buffalo wings next time. The shrimp and clam scampi was delicious. The fried calamari left something to be desired however, a bit tough and thin, and lacking flavor but still edible. Mozzarella sticks were nice but a bit on the dry side. Come here for the bar pie and wings for sure, as well as the pasta. Definitely earns a 5 star from me, I look forward to my next visit here.

Never knew about this wonderful place. The food was great as was the service and everybody was laughing and having a good time. Will be going back. I wish I lived closer. Pretzel bites and Irish nachos are the way to go. Burgers were great. I had to take them home to finish them.

Nellie's place is a wonderful restaurant to dine. There is a big parking lot, right next to the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor dining which helps people choose what environment they want to be in. We were welcomed as soon as we stepped into the restaurant. It was simply swell to meet the people who work passionately and take care of the customers’ needs. The pizza we ordered was full of life; frankly saying, cooked with love. The crust was perfectly crunchy with good amount of cheese. I would really like to thank our waitress (an Asian looking princess) for how she was so patient and kind to all our needs. Truly a great place to eat with family and friends. No regrets, only appreciation. Suggestion: It would be much convenient if you have meat-free and egg-free dishes in your soup, salad (stir fry broccoli Rabe), burger, appetizer and pizzas for vegetarian diners

Still as I remember after 10+ years. Bar area some updates. But what matters is the bar pies, crackery crisp crust and almost able to hold up to loaded toppings. Make sure to check huge chalk board in dining room for specials and tap list. Very kid friendly and welcoming place.

Great Bergen County dining spot. We have never had a bad meal. Great wings, but I have been trying to eat better recently so I had the turkey club. Simply the best I have ever had in 50 plus years. Thank you for keeping prices reasonable!

Stopped by after hearing so many good things about Nellie’s Place. Definitely old school pub vibes. We had the pizza (full plain and half pepperoni/half fra diavolo) and elkin wings. The wings were so good, like nothing I ever ever tried before. The pizza was equally good nice and thin crust. I did prefer the plain over pepperoni. The service was great would definitely come back!

Great pizza and an easy meal for the whole family. They should get rid of the rugs through, I think it would make the place feel much fresher.

Love Nellie's food. The service was just fine tonight sometimes they don't have enough people staffed. Tonight was fine. Outside was really nice except the only spot left for us was smack in the sun. So we moved inside. But everything was great. The only thing that draws back is acoustics. Sometimes it gets unusually loud in there, dining room and bar.

Famous for their thin crust pizza. Hit and miss certain days. I'm in love with their Elkin chicken wings. Some type of spice rub that I cannot place but cannot stop eating either. I crave them some days. Great selection on the menu and food quality and taste is very good. Large portions. Great soups. Can get very packed at times. Nice drink selection. We seem to go once a month. Very local spot. Same people parked at the bar every time we stop in.

Their crust is outstanding! I had the veggie pie with bacon, no cheese :( I'm sure the cheese brings it all together and makes it the famous pie it is. It had lots of fresh veggies, just needed more seasoning- again it's probably in the cheese I can't have. Even still it was delicious, fresh and perfect crust.

Excellent food, service was extraordinary...one of the best pubs I've ever been to!!

Vegans and Vegetarians beware. The dough is made with lard, pig fat. We confirmed this with an employee. Great place but I wish the Vegetarian pizza could be made without lard in it.

No trip home is complete without a bar pie and beer at Nellie's. Love it at Christmas...stuffed to the gills with diners, so it's a bit loud and might take a minute to get a table. But it's decked out in garland and holiday decor, everyone is happy, and the servers are working their butts off to keep the drinks flowing. For a true slice of North Jersey, you can't go wrong with Nellie's. I tried the Irish nachos, which were housemade chips smothered in corned beef, Sauer Kraut and mozzarella cheese. Great plate for sharing, esp over a few beers. Doesn't travel home as well. Eat it there. Order the extra pint. It's worth it!

Best Pizza Around! The whole experience is enjoyable… the wait time, watching the hustle and bustle of the staff and seeing them manage their business that is bursting at the seams with loyal customers. Friendly, affordable and quality. Great job!

As a self-proclaimed pizza enthusiast, my husband couldn't stop raving about the bar pie we had. In his words, it was the best he has ever had, and I can vouch for the fact that he has tried many different places. While the elkin wings were a famous menu item, I personally found them to be too salty due to soy sauce overload. However, I can see how they might be more enjoyable when paired with a refreshing, ice-cold beer. Cheers to that!

My wife and I frequent Kinchleys Tavern. Nellie's place and Kinchleys are hands down the best thin crust pizza in North Jersey, and possibly even in the entire state. I've never tried Nellie's until now and I gotta say - they give Kinchleys a run for their money. With that said, I gotta say I still do enjoy Kinchleys pizza a tiny bit more. It's a little thinner and a little crispier. That's my honest opinion.

The food is okay, never have had anything I didn’t like but also wasn’t over the top delicious, it was just okay, a good place for lunch or dinner since they’re also not too overpriced. I gave it 3 stars because they always seem to be short staffed and have you wait a while to be seated since it’s busy and if the hostess isn’t available to seat you, no one even looks your way to try and accommodate you or take down your name, that definitely needs a little work, other than that it’s an okay place to go and enjoy a meal.

If you like thin crust "bar pizza" you're going to love Nellie's. A New Jersey classic. Stop in and tell them @bobspizzatour sent you.

Slow service. We stood at the entrance for about 8 minutes till we were offered a table. The place wasn't busy. It looked like cleaning tables was the priority. Then when we finally sat down, we waited like 6 to 10 minutes and no server came to our table. We ended up leaving the restaurant. Very doubtful I'd come back to this place.

Simply incredible thin crust pizza! Well balanced and not over cooked. I live over a hour away and try to get down to Nellies a couple times a year. It’s so good you can easily eat a bar pie or two by yourself.

Was 5 of us and we shared a couple of pizzas which I would recommend. Guiness was also pretty good. Not much of a tap list, but had the typical Irish Pub beers. Service and prices were good.

Fantastic thin crust bar pizza and pretty good beer selection. The wings were okay. Good vibes and friendly service inside.
