As good, if not better than the fish and chip shops on the promenade. Prices are very reasonable and the quality is good. The portions are very large, a regular portion of chips is plenty for two people. Service is very friendly and fairly speedy.

First class plaice and great friendly service . Wil be pleased to visit again soon. Went today and the service was perfect high class and best fish I ever had . I be back again soon as live in Southport

Went here for dinner after a day down the beach, the guy serving was really nice. Short walk up the hill from the fort. We ordered dinners for 10 of us, sausage dinners (sausage, chips, mushy peas and gravy) fish dinners. The portions were great, we ordered 2 large chips between 2 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty left over. All in we spent just shy of £45 for dinner for 10 people, 6 adults and 4 kids, that's the price of 3 meals at a harvester. Really can't go wrong. The food was hot and tasty even after walking back to the pavillion for seating at the bottom of the hill. The gravy was nice and thick and I got an extra pot for dipping my chips and sausage in.

Worst fried fish ever ! Very thick, spongy disgusting batter and hardly any fish to be seen ! How do you not feel ashamed to serve fish like that especially at the price of £8almost with chips and peas which would be worthy if it was actually decent consumable quality ..... Never again

Had fish chips.mushy peas some time ago was lovely sadly just been fish batter was raw in side like dough and fish was as skinny as my finger peas were illuminous green defo not proper mushy peas

Good chippy this; fresh fish battered and fried aa you wait. Decent size chip potions. Very nice with curry sauce. Parking can be a pain but there's normally somewhere nearby.

Had fish chips curry and peas for 4 people on good Friday and it was really poor. Heavily battered to hide the miniscule piece of fish inside, the batter was soggy and almost donut like in texture. Refried chips and hard peas. The curry was the only decent thing in it. Nice quick service though.

Nice man serving but sadly poor quality fish and chips ive had them before from here and they where beyond excellent not this time poor quality batter rubbery lacking crispness inedible Same with chips everything consigned to the bin I will return as i suspect this to be a one off and when there on form there fish and chips are excellent

The best fish and chips I have ever had. Freshly cooked, yummy and very hot. The chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside and the fish was tasty with delicious crisp batter. The dog was even treated to a free sausage! Make the few minutes detor from the sea front for a delicious treat.

Best fish and chips EVER...service was excellent, only had small portion and it was plenty. Highly recommend, will be my 1st stop next time I'm in New Brighton.

Wow absolutely amazing from service to the absolutely beautiful food...mushy peas that are actually mushy , like the old days of al chippy even the gravy and fruity curry 🤤 and chips ...once again the good old days. We have lived up the road for 10 years ... just found this lil gem and on my husbands birthday...so that's 2 very happy people....thanks Victoria road fish and chips see you very soon 😊

The first meal I ordered was a fish dinner and I was refused gravy on the dinner by the owner who is a taxi driver and it was so dry and tasteless and the batter on the fish was like cement believe me you need a good set of nashers to chew it, the chips were undercooked and a sloppy mush, The second time I ordered chips and gravy with a sausage, the sausage was obviously a complete warm up, it was rock hard and full of hard bits and the skin on the sausage was split obviously because it had been cooked so much and repeatedly warmed up, the third time I ordered chips peas and fruity curry sauce, the guy who works there seemed to have a real attitude problem and when I got the food and went and opened the food, the chips were completely dry and warm ups and inedible, the mushy peas were a complete sloppy green salty mess and I asked for fruity curry sauce but was given salty watery gravy, a discusting way to treat a paying customer, never again
