The Reading Room has a comprehensive menu featuring all the usual café fare from jacket potatoes to hot breakfast  muffins and cakes, with the All Day Breakfast top of the list. I ordered up and took a seat. My breakfast arrives within just a few minutes and  it’s was "spot on" – good quality ingredients, cooked to perfection and served with a smile by the owners father I believe. The Reading Room ticks all the boxes as to what a good cafe should be; great food, friendly atmosphere. And if I'm too be honest I would put it up there in my top 3 breakfast cafe I've been too. Quite a hidden little  gem

Lovely cafe, food cooked to order, everything lovely and hot. Really pleasant owner/staff, think its family run place. Great prices, nice relaxed place, no hovering, go if you get a chance.

We went there for a full English breakfast. It’s a traditional looking café which was part of the appeal. It seems to be run by a family. They are very friendly and polite. The price of the breakfast was very cheap, £6 which included tea/coffee and three rounds of toast. Too much for us. The food was good and very reasonably priced. I hope they are charging enough. The place has been there for many years let’s hope it keeps going. Some of the customers were getting takeout food, Some were local regulars. Everybody was treated with courtesy.

Staff adapting menu to please fussy kids, grateful mum for this. Relax and clean atmosphere. Decent cuppa coffee. Large breakfast was LARGE...struggled to eat it all but boys managed to get all theirs. 😊 happy and will return.

This is a great little cafe for a very relaxing breakfast lovely staff and very friendly atmosphere great price as well so for a first timer I will most certainly be back to enjoy there breakfasts and maybe even check out the rest of the menu five stars /years later and nothing has changed much if anything its gotten better lovely breakfast thanks to the owner X
