In
this
life
when
we
search
for
true
places,
when
we
seek
meaningful
conversations
in
the
company
of
good
people
it
helps
to
know
what
direction
you
want
to
take
in
your
life.
It
helps
to
have
a
goal,
to
hold
it
in
your
heart
like
a
pure
north,
and
for
that…
a
compass
can
be
crucial.
In
this
case,
that
Compass
happens
to
be
a
place.
What
makes
Compass
Coffee
special,
beyond
the
simple
menu
and
the
basic
decor
is
the
honesty
of
what
it
is.
A
place
where
a
craft
is
being
pursued
by
people
who
believe
in
what
they
are
doing.
That
my
friends,
is
an
aroma
that
has
permeated
the
very
molecular
structure
of
the
building!
it
will
never
be
same.
The
smell
of
honest
well
roasted
coffee
is
deep
and
welcoming
as
you
approach
their
door
and
the
staff
was
kind
and
patient,
which
is
an
added
treasure
to
a
coffee
that
was
perfect.
There
is
an
honesty
about
a
place
that
was
created
first
to
roast
and
craft
and
then
evolved
later
into
customer
service
instead
of
the
other
way
around.
It
was
an
accident.
The
way
crystals
grow
in
the
ground
by
accident
or
the
wind
shapes
beautiful
rocks
formations
in
the
desert.
Because
out
there
on
Saint
John’s,
it
really
is
kind
of
a
desert
and
they
really
do
need
something
special.
An
oasis,
a
port
in
the
storm,
a
familiar
door,
a
welcoming
face,
because
it’s
bleak
out
there.
And
a
place
to
stop
and
sit
and
talk
and
tell
stories
and
a
have
a
cup
of
coffee
is
transformative,
not
only
for
the
participants,
but
for
the
community.
