Newly updated addition to the best coffee roaster near Hazel Del, and they always have freshly roasted beans to try. I always get espresso with a compliment pallet cleanser. It’s so nice to have the big garage door open. Lots more seating available now too for larger parties. There’s some plugs to charge your computer and the music/vibe is always nice too.

I have been coming here for a while now. The quality of the coffee is the best in town imo. I try not to drink my calories so Sugar free vanilla latte is my go to and they're the best in town. The guy who runs the place most of the time is a little gruff at first but hes actually pretty cool and knows his stuff when it comes to coffee.

The coffee is so good! Lattes are always wonderfully balanced, beautiful micro foam, and perfectly flavored drinks. Never too sweet, always perfectly done! We go anytime we’re in Vancouver.

A quieter coffee shop way off the normal roads. But this is a staple of the Vancouver area. “Best espresso or your money back” as the sign used to say. I always wanted that free shot, but they were always too good to take advantage of that deal.

In this life when we search for true places, when we seek meaningful conversations in the company of good people it helps to know what direction you want to take in your life. It helps to have a goal, to hold it in your heart like a pure north, and for that… a compass can be crucial. In this case, that Compass happens to be a place. What makes Compass Coffee special, beyond the simple menu and the basic decor is the honesty of what it is. A place where a craft is being pursued by people who believe in what they are doing. That my friends, is an aroma that has permeated the very molecular structure of the building! it will never be same. The smell of honest well roasted coffee is deep and welcoming as you approach their door and the staff was kind and patient, which is an added treasure to a coffee that was perfect. There is an honesty about a place that was created first to roast and craft and then evolved later into customer service instead of the other way around. It was an accident. The way crystals grow in the ground by accident or the wind shapes beautiful rocks formations in the desert. Because out there on Saint John’s, it really is kind of a desert and they really do need something special. An oasis, a port in the storm, a familiar door, a welcoming face, because it’s bleak out there. And a place to stop and sit and talk and tell stories and a have a cup of coffee is transformative, not only for the participants, but for the community.

This is one of the only high-end coffee shops in my neighborhood. The staff is useful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I come here at least two or three times a week. It’s not a great place for studying, but it is a good place together with friends and it always has nice sunlight.

Super friendly staff! I ordered a chia latte, it has a little too much cinnamon for me and could have been warmer, but was still pretty good. I wish they offered at least 1 gluten free option for food. Chairs were not very comfortable but there was lots of tables and places to do work and reading. Loved that they had house mugs.

The coffee here is great! My iced muscavato breve was off the hook. So good. The service was great, the lady pulling the shots (I think her name was Royale) was sweet and friendly! Cute interior and great atmosphere as well. Would give way more stars if possible!
