The moment you see this place you know, either heaven or hell. Either this place will be the answer to your dreams, or a one way ticket to disappointment city. It's small, the tiny home answer to culinary perfection. Just enough room for two people to create magic and then, only if they know each other extremely well. They were friendly, approachable, and confident in their service as only masters of an art form can be. I got two Pork Tamales to go, just to test the waters so to speak and brought them home in a little zip lock bag. When I cracked the seal on that ever lovin little bag, the aroma that came wafting out was nothing short of nirvana. They were, the best two Tamales I have ever had. It is one of those special little spots that can fit right into your life like a favorite hat, or the old jacket that you wear nearly every day. I can see Chalita's becoming part of a rhythm of life. as essential as coffee or your favorite radio station (in my case NPR). This is what I am always looking for. Food made with love and passion. Food with depth and feeling. They seemed proud and deserved to be proud.

My family and I have purchased tamales here multiple times and every time, the tamales are so good that we rush back to purchase more and have started buying twice as many as we plan for because they run out quickly. Great value, fantastic flavor, and kind staff. I regret I can’t give more stars.

Where's the meat? Razor thin meat in the middle what you get is very tasty. Rice and beans are freshly made and really tasty but only a small serving of each. Maybe they will offer a new option with more meat for $1. It is worth a try!!

Wow. Best I've had in a very, very long time. The masa is fresh and has an awesome texture. These honestly might beat a lot of the big homemade pots of tamales I've had at quinceañeras and weddings. A must try.

my first visit to ChalitaTamales. Simple menu to chose from. I bought a chicken tamale. Came out warm and when I took my first bite I shot straight to tamale heaven. I'm sure it was made with 100% love...best tamale I ever had and I'm 66 yrs. young and always been open to finding the perfect tamale. I found it at Chalits. My new comfort food. Thank you!

Food: 9/10 Food: I'm not usually seeking out Tamales but I came across this place and was not disappointed! First off, the tamales themselves were great! I have no complaints about them; however, I kind of wish the sauce cups that hold the sour cream/sauce were bigger. I personally could've easily used 1 cup per tamale!

SO GOOD! Loved the cheese tamales with tomatillo sauce. Make sure to get there early because they do sell out! Definitely worth the stop!

I asked for no avocado but they still put avocado sauce on the top. My husband could not even have his lunch today because he is allergic to avocado. I called and wanted to let them know but nobody answered the phone. Please pay attention to it next time, Thank you.

It’s really good food but honestly you may or may not be able to order. Idk what they do in the back but I stood there for 5 minutes before giving up and going somewhere else in the food court. By the time I got my food from the other place there still wasn’t an anyone in the front. Again I don’t know what happened in the back but I do know I didn’t have time to stand around for 10 minutes of my lunch break.

Probably the best tamales that you can find for purchasing anywhere. I'd eat here everyday if I could.
