Do not stay here. Rooms absolutely disgusting carpet not hoovered and dirty dust literally everywhere in the room looked like it hasn’t even been cleaned before arrival, didn’t even feel comfortable getting under the covers, customers outside scratching stating they’ve been bitten here a few times in their rooms. on arrival tried to give us a room with one bed and a bunk bed when we requested a twin room during booking suddenly twin room was available when we stated this. Lifts don’t work and you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs just to get to your hotel room, was so disgusted by the room we left after only 2 hours and found another hotel to stay in. Place should be knocked down looks so uninviting and worn down from the outside. Also pretty sure it’s been used as a hostel which isn’t as advertised when making the booking online. Cheap as chips for a reason.

You get what you pay for, cheap, lift not working, tired looking and in need of repair. Big pluses are constant hot water, kettle, clean fridge and very friendly/helpful staff. Just needed a shower and bed for a night so this worked.

You get what you pay for...we just wanted somewhere to put our heads down for the night and it was ok..we'd all had a drink so that definitely helped us not to focus so much on the lime green walls...the guy on reception was lovely and helpful, especially to the couple who had had their car stolen, from the car park, right underneath the CCTV, whilst we were checking in 😱 I think the electrics could do with looking at as plugging in my phone charger, made the socket spark, as did turning off one of the lights...it was also a good job I didn't want a relaxing long shower this morning as it was a choice of freezing cold or melting my skin and it was just a trickle, but I managed a wash which was fine....our bed was OK, wouldn't have fancied looking at the bare mattress and I did keep waking up having to remove a spring out of my hip, but I definitely slept better than I thought I would 🤷‍♀️ think it's a halfway house/homeless shelter but everyone we saw was polite and friendly. Oh and the lifts broken and has been for months by the look of the other reviews on trip advisor. So all in all not the worst, but not the best either, but our car didn't get stolen and we were all alive this morning #winningatlife 😊

One of the worst hotels that you will ever stay in If crack is your thing this maybe a good hotel for you as I've judging by the guests/staff I would say there is a endless supply. Save your time and money sleep in your car because that would be more enjoyable then this kip.

The photos on the website of this hotel are clearly very very old. When i booked this place for an overnight stay, i was not expecting what i found. The state if this hotel was very poor. Holes in the ceilings, broken lift, broken bed, a sofa in reception that is fit for the skip. I took photos to prove all this and plan to put in an official complaint. This hotel has been misold to me and there are laws against that.

Badly in need of a refurb. Rooms and corridors very shabby but it is exceptionally cheap. Drove past it 3 times because signage overpowered by brightly lit bar next door and lift out of order. Plus side apart from price lots of parking for guests

THIS PLACE URGENTLY NEEDS TO BE TAKEN DOWN AND BURNT. Aside from lifts not working, the place is infected, unbelievably dirty, stinky, scared to touch anything bc of how bad it looked, hairs, blood and dirt everywhere…Dodgy things happen there…better sleep outside…I can’t believe this exists in U.K., we left to look for another hotel in 3 mins which seemed like an eternity in this place of a nightmare. No stars, i just had to select a score

When I first called the hotel to try and book a room,I was told that the lift wasn't working and I have mobility issues which I explained. It would be two flights of stairs to climb to an available room. Anyway,I decided to go to the hotel. When I arrived at reception,I was welcomed by a lovely lady called Joy. I explained about ringing earlier which she was aware of. She then booked me into a ground floor accessible room. She had put the heating on for me, provided me with a menu for the restaurant next door, put the TV on for me. Basically, she couldn't have been more helpful. This was very much appreciated as it was by now very cold outside and I was feeling a bit shattered! Joy made my stay a lovely experience and I can't wait to stay again. I would recommend this hotel to all if you are visiting Walsall or the surrounding area.

Very basic, room shabby but clean some refurbishment is being done. Staff very helpful and pleasant, free parking and WiFi a bonus. Popular with contractors. There is a restaurant next door open evenings. If looking for cheap overnight stay it's OK. Lift out of order for sometime apparently.

I cannot even give this place any stars if there was a minus option I’d opt for that but I had to otherwise I couldn’t post it. Checked into a single bed and a bunk bed bedroom for my two children and I baring in mind one of them should be in a cot. The mattresses were worse than a prison cell. Moved into a “better” room with a double and a single bed (still no cot) upon arriving in the room it stank, had not been cleaned, the toilet had pee stains, my desk was sticky, there was something off in the fridge (growing mould). I HAD TO BLEACH THE PLACE BEFORE GETTING COMFORTABLE WITH MY CHILDREN. The lift does not work, I had to bring my own hoover as the carpet is filth. Glass was broken in my room despite me telling the house keeper (JOY) who said she’d come once she finishes hoovering the corridor, I came back outside and watched as she left WITHOUT CLEANING UP THE GLASS. This is despicable as my children could have been seriously hurt. Upon asking the receptionist (KEIRA) for the managers details she was very rude, dismissive, sarcastic and obviously she refused to give me the details including the managers name or let me know when the manager will be in. I cannot stress enough how appalling this place is, is beyond dirty, people smoking weed in their rooms, outside my window is full of butts, rude staff, useless housekeepers who cannot even clean a simple bathroom and a room which takes less than 20 minutes to do. Not to mention she allowed a guest to record me but I don’t care it’s for HER OWN SAFETY!

This hotel is full of refugee and homeless and crack heads the cleaners use mops to clean the carpets just to get rid off the damp smell All the staff are rude and 0% professional And it is strange that the cleaners live in the hotel Every night I stayed there I was savagley bitten by bed bugs When I tried to make food I saw multiple 🪳 cockroach in the rooms The standard of condition of the building its past its 50th birthday I would never stay there again The room furniture has well past repair The best thing to do is leave the building immediately and never turn back It should be closed down and demolished as the building is past the point of repair If you want to be bitten this is the hotel for you It's a waste of space and is past the run down point 100% avoid

This hotel well Scam you on the parking .on the weekend there hide the Tablet which you supposed to book your car registration on .So you get parking fines. And the staff working there are really really arrogant the worst I ever seen at a hotel. Also the lift is always broken...

Received a fine for parking on the car park after attending a party. Spoke to Joy on the receptionist said “ain't got nothing to do with us, pay the fine” what a joke disgusting service. Ill be sending the fine to Joy

Right, where to start... First entering the room you see the curtain falling down from the rail. The bathroom was covered in mould in the ceiling and on the sides of the bath. Speaking of the side of the bath, it was caved in like it had been hit with a bulldozer. The bed was squishy but sank terribly in the middle. The windows were ancient and had their own personal ecosystem growing in the mould covering the glass. Despite paying for a late check out, (we were still tired from a awful night's sleep in the saggy bed) we were rudely awoken by house keeping at 10am attempting to get us out. All in all a poor stay. Do not recommend, at all, to anyone. Ever.

Wanted la one night stay,so rang hotel direct for availability and price. Had room for £40 which I decided to take. When I got there,I was greeted by a lady called Joy who couldn't have been more helpful with check in etc. Paid in full on arrival. I explained my difficulty with mobility and Joy got me an accessible room on ground floor which was brilliant! Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. There is a restaurant next door and also a bar,so no probs with eating or drinking!

I loved how cozy the rooms are, they are affordable, clean. First place i stayed in the Uk and the staff ( i forgot her name🙈) was helpful. Sadly the lift were not working at the time so i had to carry all luggages to my room in the second floor, (not a funny experience). The reception area is a bit cozy

The service here was good the guy at reception was friendly and hard working. The place was clean out and in the room. Was a long tough bike ride 7miles each way though but was best price in Birmingham I could find. The rooms where fine a little dated but clean and exeptable would go again if the price is right 😜

BEWARE!!! This hotel is not making much money because of its poor state. So they have decided to invest in parking cameras. The staff have been trained not to tell anyone of these cameras. So, like me if I stopped by to enquire about a room. I will get a £60 fine. The hotel pockets £40 of that fine. This was the only option left for the hotel as there is no capital left to refurbish the room. With the cameras investment they can keep the hotels finances above water.

Basic hotel. Some of the hotel seems to be for homeless, asylum seekers or people on benefits so not ideal for a family but ok as a one night stopover. No toiletries provided and lift not working. Great bar and restaurant next door and free parking

Your hotel in Walsall is a disgrace, I popped in on the way home from work to check on the availability of several rooms for an upcoming birthday celebration, I was at reception 18 minutes and for my trouble I received a parking fine of £160 from a rogue Ocean Parking company. You’re employee JANE FOLEY confirmed my enquiry but claims she can do nothing about the fine as it’s down to the parking company who administer the car park. I wasn’t illegally parked at the rear of the hotel, I simply didn’t use the tablet to enter my registration number on the computer. The procedure was not pointed out to me by the receptionist and I did not see any signs. The car park was empty! No. Other cars were on the premises. How do your other customers get on, it sounds like a con to me and should be discontinued. William Smith

The hotel is not as it appears in the photos, the elevator does not work, the rooms are very dirty and the beds are not fit to sleep. I'm sorry, but in my life I have seen a similar hotel

Rooms ok. But to have friends receive a parking fine when picking us up at hoel is appalling. Will not be using hotel again.

It was not great had a guy come into our room, claiming it was his, and refused to move. Sat on the floor stated he wasn't moving until the hotel sorted out his original room. He did leave after 20 mins of coaxing by the staff and myself. It's not ideal but the hotel has promised a full refund, so thanks for this if I get it

The black woman receptionist is very rude and racist. She always picks on the people who live there and asks when they will leave. there are frequent thefts in this hotel and they don't even intervene and notify the police.

Meeting room 4 was poor and under equipped. Front of hotel looked like a building site. Reception was clean but not welcoming. Lots of Homeless and Migrant people. No public toilets. Car park had glass everywhere. Would not recommend anyone to stop there as I think it maybe unsafe of a night time.

If your in a budget it's ok, but you get what you pay for. The lift doesn't work, and by looking at other reviews from 4 months ago, it's been that long for them to fix it but it's still broken. So be prepared if you are top floor and have bags. The keys will always stop working, so you'll walk up 3 flights of stairs then have to go back down to activate your key, to a point where every time I came back I just activated my key to make sure. The WiFi not working. Rooms are old school, no bedside plug socket to charge and use your phone or other items. Rooms are freezing cold aswell. Cold showers, if you are into them lol and the mattresses will break your back with a solid pillow. Jail style haha. But it's a budget hotel so don't expect the Hilton. Toilets never flush properly and leave half of your gunk in there. But it gets 2 star because the staff and cleaners were very friendly.

Spent one night in here for work, NEVER again. Place wasn't clean, lift was out of order and I was told by a work colleague that it was the same when they stayed a while back. Broken tiles and wires appearing, the smallest amount of toliet paper and no backup, chair in room had more food on it than a Chinese takeaway menu and noise I'm the hotel was crazy, had to listen to the people upstairs partying till 5am playing music and when the two times the music did stop, they started having loud sex. Reported this and the receptionist didn't seem all too bothered and never even tried to apologize or anything, just said she'll look into it.

"A great budget price but still quality" Near the motorway for great and easy access. Town is close enough to enjoy and far enough so out of the hustle and bustle, a great location and price. The room was clean, tidy and real welcoming. Much appreciated. The hotel itself looked quite smart. Next door I grabbed tea of a delightful curry, if you want a greater selection you will have to go to a near eating place I have returned here a few times and personally reccomend it myself for price quality and location. Breakfast etc is best to be got locally as they do not serve breakfast. Lovely place.

I had an awful experience with the front desk man tonight. Usually staff are lovely but he was so rude and seemed like he didn’t want to bother with us then charged us full price on a Thursday to which I was surprised but said fine God will repay. And he proceeded to refuse us a room because of those simple words when I asked him to check the video because he thought I said something els he refused and told us to leave I asked for complaints procedure and he refused and kicked us out and slammed the office door in our face. Iv been staying here for months and all of the staff know us and we all get along great. As a journalist who stays at hotels regularly I have never been so disgusted.

Staff ok, shame about the bad mattresses, stained mattress, fight in reception with blood and glass everywhere, empty spirit bottles and cigarette ends under window, no ventilation, noisy main road, no sleep and TICKS on the pillows. Contacted hotels.com and a voucher offered for £25, insulting.

First room I was given had no running water. Got put into another room where TV wasn't working but I wasn't bothered about that. Lift wasn't working but last review I saw on a booking website said it wasn't working over a year ago - not great! Bedroom was clean and tidy. There was a restaurant next door which seemed to be very popular with the locals but we never tried it. Had good reviews though. Definitely needs an injection of cash for renovation work. . Five stars for the staff as they were very helpful. Only two for the hotel. Wasn't an awful experience if you manage your expectations.

Grills and curries are top quality, large eating area but always very busy. Be sure to check out the mixed grill masala chips and lollipop chicken. Great flavour and service. Hopefully the great food can continue and they don’t drop their standards. If you fancy Indian food and a pint, be sure to check this place out, doesn’t look much from outside but inside it’s a different story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dropped in for a quick drink and a bite. Mix grill had a good variety of edibles on offer. Chilli chicken good almost got the taste and flavours like the offerings from Punjab. Massala chips a touch too much Massala for my liking but flavoursome and enjoyable nonetheless. Parking not the best, plenty of room inside however. All in all not bad.

Stranded in Walsall on a cold October night I chose the cheapest hotel. It was adequate. On the plus side the bed sheets were clean and there was plenty of hot water, a TV and a kettle. On the downside, where do I start? It was adequate for a healthy individual who can put up with the cold. The radiator did not work but there was a electric wall heater by the door. Iff the bed had been by the door I would have been very snug. But it took over 2 hours for the room to warm up so that I could take my jumper off (3rd layer). In the end I had to get into bed just to stay warm. Decor: 20 year old stained carpet, chipped and scratched furnishings. No sign of a dining room, therefore no breakfast. Iff there was I wasn't informed of it. Lacklustre staff with a perfunctory manner. I give it 2 stars because 1, it was there and 2, it had a hot shower.
