This was a off the cuff visit. Decided to go here while my wife went shopping (gentlemen worth considering if you and the kids want to do something else while the Mrs goes shopping). I loved this place. The art collections were intriguing but its the stories behind everything that was captivating. The clay models were superb pieces of work. The building has 4 floors. I really lived the community gallery downstairs and it really touched me how so much happiness is bought to the community through art. All ages and walks of life and again some of the stories and images were really inspirational and really lifts your spirits. It was very quite and not very busy so you get time to observe untrusted and collect your thoughts. Lifts available and a gift shop downstairs. A small gallery so won't take all day to see everything. Entrance is free and I highly reccomend this place for art enthusiasts and for those looking to do something to kill time.

It was our first time here and I am very much impressed with the diversity of artworks that this place has to offer. Modern and ancient obra maestras. Lovely experience

Great art gallery, well worth a visit. The Garman collection is really interesting and at the moment they have paintings by Yasmin David. I enjoyed looking round the shop and even bought a new bag. There's a Costa in the building if you want a coffee/tea and cake 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the gallery. There was an interesting exhibition by local artists, where you could vote for your favourite piece. The exhibitions are well presented with good layout and lighting. The gallery is well maintained, the facilities are kept clean and tidy.

Large looming art gallery. Permanent collect comes via Jacob Epstein if I understand correctly. Lots to see and discover. Top floors special exhibition. Worth a visit. Let down by having a Costa for your coffee money.

Have had a lovely time at The New Art Gallery. Never been before and I am definitely not regreting the time we have spent there. We have seen plenty of beautiful art pieces, however ...in my very personal opinion, and I really don't want to offend anyone, the exhibition which was today on the very top floor....🤦‍♀️ Sorry, but this I would never call "an art". Really random pieces of anything you will find in garbage bin, putting together, with no shape, no emotion, no story to be told... even hard to describe, as these "art" pieces didn't make any sense at all. The easiest to describe is... possibly a toy revolver, sprayed all-round in pink... (I am regreting now I didn't want to take any pictures of this exhibition 🤷‍♀️, just to show you ) People do go to galleries and museums to see art pieces which has been made centuries and millenniums ago and yet we still looking at them speachless and fascinated by the absolute beauty , precious make etc, but what are we going to leave for next generations in hundreds/ thousands years ahead ??? Pink sprayed toy revolver? Or many other shapeless, senseless "new art" pieces, impossible to describe or guess the idea behind it , or the purpose of this ?

Well worth a visit if you are in Walsall. Some of the temporary exhibits are well worth a visit. In school holidays there are some great interactions for the little ones.

A fairly small art galley which is connected to the area and community. If you are in Walsall it is a must see. Located in the local shopping area and within 3 minutes from the Walsall Train Station, which is about 23 minutes from Birmingham New Street Station.

It's definitely one of the better art galleries in the West Midlands. It usually has activities on for children as well on weekends. Have a go if this is not your usual thing.

A wonderful gallery, full of something for everyone who likes art! The Garman Ryan Collection is a stand out and they regularly have new exhibitions by up and coming artists! I still haven't visited the cafe, but the gift shop has a wide selection of art related books and materials and other art related gifts!

Beautiful building and exhibitions. Permanent collections are amazing, really breathtaking. The gallery space is wonderful, with various themed rooms it's quirky and creative. Cafe inside and little shop which has some wonderful items. Highly recommended a visit, it's lovely there.

Staff are *always* friendly and helpful, souvenir shop is small-ish but has a pretty decent and varied selection of souvenirs, plus it has direct access to the Costa coffee store via the front desk. Always has a varied and continually changing theme/display/exhibition on, including that of which local artists and independent one-off artists can display their work. Nice views from the altitudinous levels of the gallery, also. One (not really a) expostulation: whole gallery cojld do with a reshuffle in my opinion....lots of things have been in the same place for quite some time now. Not strictly exhibitions, I mean the layout of the whole gallery could possibly benefit from a decent reshuffle.

A lovely collection with lots of exhibits that often get swapped out. The gallery has 4 floors with lifts, a library, plenty of rooms for activities, shop and attached costa.

Second visit to the New Art Gallery Walsall in about 9 years. Free entry both times. Did see a gift shop on the ground floor near Costa Coffee. They have a Jacob Epstein collection that was there both times, plus temporary exhibits. Near the Walsall Canal, Waterfront.

Really well laid out, clean, friendly staff, workshops for kids in School holidays and a Costa coffee to finish. Some art was a little copy cat IMO, but can't argue with the application, many originals also and photos and sketches on display that led to finished art work was nice to see, it's also free. The day I visited there was an outdoor cinema outside also although weather was awful, it's nice to see such an effort being made in the area.
