Great little bakery in this charming village. Well done for opening early as I was able to grab breakfast at 7am. A wonderful brioche breakfast roll with a sausage pattie, bacon and egg. Really, really tasty. Didn't take a picture because I ate it so quickly. Special breakfast offer included a coffee for £4.95! Highly recomended. They were making rolls and baguettes up for the day so I asked for a tuna baguette for lunch. Fresh, tasty and smelt very nice. Could have bought many things from cakes to crisps, as all looked good and served by a lovely South African lady.

I was fortunate to visit this bakery during my visit to the UK (it's been 9 years since I was last here). While in the area my wife demanded we stop by to get a Frog shaped French fancy from her childhood. Alas, they were either sold out or not available, but we got other items. She got a wonderful fresh cream donut (much better than anything I've had in the US) and I got the vegetarian Cornish pasty. The stars must have aligned and my taste buds ready as that was the best pasty I have ever tasted. It just melted in my mouth and was fresh and moist. I still think back to that day where I tasted and ate that item with delight. Will I go back? Very likely, but I'm afraid of getting the same item and not living up to the pure hungry joy I felt that day. Regardless, kudos to you Ashwell Days!

It has always been expensive, but you always get high quality here. Went in today and they were doing BOGOF on french sticks so I was delighted. Service was goof too

£4.70 and look at the state of this, guessing they were running low on butter, but there still happy to over charge for something that literally cost 80p-£1 to make even less when they save on the use of butter.....

Really disappointed in the carrot cake I purchased today. Recipe has clearly changed to make this cheaper to make. Bland and tasteless and will not buy again :((

Days is a great bakery with good quality items... but please I BEG YOU buy your bakeries a thermostat for the milk frothers its not an expensive purchase. Everytime we buy a coffee from your shops they are far too hot and burn the coffee so you end up with a burnt mouth and a bitter tasting coffee. Other than that the bakery is great, but please change this small thing it'll make your coffee so much better I promise you.

Visited the shop as a visitor to the village. Not much bread left but ordered a wholemeal loaf, 2 crusty rolls, a sausage roll and a Danish pastry. Well, very disappointed. The loaf was so dry so could not use for sandwiches, the rolls were hard, no way could they be filled and eaten, had to just butter and struggle to eat as open roll, sausage roll was very salty and poor value for money. As for my danish pecan slice, not much pecan on it,not that tasty. So disappointed. Cost over £7. Too late to go back and complain. Won't use again.

As accounted in the family history so visited, nothing else opened for lunch in the village with Covid19 queue outside the door and you can see why, friendly helpful staff who told us where we could eat our lunch in the village. Large baguettes and rolls with generous well seasoned fillings egg mayonnaise was very good. Hot sausage rolls, cold drinks and fresh jam doughnuts. Shop inside laid out nicely and also the window display in keeping with the village and authenticity of the village and the community, not over priced. Can see why they are still here going strong after so long and accounted for in our memoirs.
