Came here late evening and it's a challenge trying to navigate the forest but that in itself adds to the aura of the place. There's always something new to discover here and you won't tire of the place at all. Recommend the park highly if you're up for an adventure or two.

Very vast forest which is mostly untouched. You can walk for hours in here but like other reviews have mentioned it's very easy to get lost! It is nice to see the squirrels running around and you can often hear rustling within the trees. Be sure to wear footwear with good grip when visiting as the paths can be steep and uneven / there isn't always a path to follow. You do have to pay for the car parks but free street parking can be found around the edges of the forest.

Great place to go for a day to relax and get away. Plenty of space if you want to lie around and relax somewhere away from others. You can also sit by the lake and feed the ducks and swans! And once you are done, there are plenty of public transport options to get back to London.

One of the most amazing places to mountain bike, especially for beginners. It is easy to get lost and there are no signs anywhere about the trails but the forest is stunning and the scenery varies quite a lot. Only 20 mins from Liverpool Street by train.

Nice area far away from city when you want to escape the busy life of London. In the middle is a wide lake with a lots of birds, swans and ducks. Great place for walks with dogos. We had amazing time there!

Striking off-piste here is is to be captive in a space where your intrusiveness amounts to less than an meaningless irritant. Wandering aimlessly in this indifferent world is both exhilarating and disturbing. The domain of skittish deer, hares, mushroom clumps and a brooding mystique that nudges the collective subconscious. Unreservedly recommended.

Big beautiful forest! Easy to hike with some uphills. Lots of beautiful trees and plants, some ponds and little lakes. Really peaceful and pretty

Epping Forest is a magical place 30 min by car from the centre of London. We use to come here from time to time just for evade ourself of the fast-pace London LifeStyle. We walk the dog, we go through a piece of nature and just talking or in silence. Fall is awesome for visiting the huge corner among Fagus and Quercus... colours and texture in endless paths. If you wanna relax and breath again, come along to Epping Forest.

This forest is a great escape from the urban life. It’s quite large considering the ease with which you can reach it by public transport. I took the central line to Loughton and walked to the forest, through winding paths and upto the visitor center. The people at the center were super nice and helpful and suggested some walking routes. I took a northerly route and walked all the way to Epping station, sighting some deer along the way. I also came across a field where you’re technically walking above the M25 which goes underground. Onto English suburbia and Epping station to catch my tube. All in all a good day!

👍 Park isn’t too busy which is nice. Would be nice if they had a map for different routes you can take and if they had more flowers. This park also needs bins! We have to carry our rubbish around after lunch until we walk passed the shops because there’s no bins anywhere.
