This place is mindblowing. This needs to be given 7 stars given the location..the owner has left no excuses. 1000 times better then @Hyatt Regency Girls at front reception is outstanding. Rooms are 5* Jacuzzi in a room. Spa , pool. You have everything to deserve a 5* Let me know if I can help you get it as the consumer❤️💕😊😘🙏🙏

If your looking at the prices at the Atrium and thinking they are a little on the high side, its because the restaurant is fine dining. We noticed people outside the hotel, most likely locals were arriving as well, so we decided to give it a go. It was well worth it. Excellent tasting food and stepping up with presentation, especially with the dessert. If you are looking to treat yourself I would say you should also give it a go. The hotel room itself was really good, there is some noise being on a busy road, but not unbearable.

Restaurant meals were great and the service better than average. Rooms - we stayed in room 207 .... don't let them check you into this room unless they have now added a block-out blind over the top of the plantation shutters. Plantation shutters don't block out the orange street lights and we got absolutely no sleep. The room was lit up like a Christmas tree - very bright .... Very disappointing. :-(

2 night stay for us, and the Gateway is a great place to be. Generous size rooms, excellent bar and restaurant (one of the best steaks I have had) and breakfast at very reasonable prices. Heated pool and sauna, with a sheltered outdoor area hits the mark as well. Super staff all round. Easy walk into town and local shopping if you need to stock up. We will be back here for sure on our next trip.

I have been lucky enough to stay here on numerous occasions for the last 10 years for work and I have never been disappointed. Most recently was this weekend. Many thanks to Heather, Stephanie and Ryan, who always make the stay magnificent. The rooms are sensational with the most comfortable beds. An amazing pool with an incredible restaurant with such beautiful food. Perfect position to walk around town and drive to the local attractions. Thanks again as always

Quite easily one of the best hotel experiences I've had in Victoria. Clean, comfortable, modern, and spacious rooms. Yet, the hero was the amazing and consistent customer service. The team accommodated our last minute request to book another night and all our dealings with them were very pleasant.

I had the first night with my partner & then solo for a couple of nights. We enjoyed drinks in the bar on a Friday night & even though a busy birthday celebration spilled into the bar from outside, there was plenty of room for an intimate drink for two. The Atrium is a fine dinning experience in a relaxed environment. Having enjoyed breakfasts & dinners at the Atrium I was pleased with the consistency in service & quality. I ate alone & was just as comfortable as dining for two thanks to the staff. The food was delicious, good variety of wine options, the staff were just lovely & attentive without being intrusive (thank you)… The hotel staff also understood the meaning of customer service. Each & everyone one greeted me/us with a smile & attended to our requests/needs in a professionally courteous down to earth manner. Having stayed in many hotels, I was pleasantly surprised at the consistent level of service. It was so good it represented excellent value for money. Thank you to all.

This is a true gem. Well appointed spacious rooms, clean, modern and comfortable. Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Food is beautiful presented. Staff are friendly and service is prompt. Highly recommend.

We stayed for a couple of nights and the hotel was lovely. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We dined in the restaurant on Friday night which was super busy and both our meals were excellent (highly recommend the eye fillet steak). Best part was the staff, each and every one were professional, super helpful and efficient. We will be back.

Best description of our three night stay at this hotel is DELIGHTFUL. The customer service from every staff member is impeccable. Rooms are clean, spacious, well appointed and super comfortable. The restaurant offers great food and wine at very reasonable prices, with yet again great service. Access to newspapers and room service are an added bonus but, when we found a note on our windscreen stating it had been cleaned, we were completely sold. We were so impressed we have already reserved our rooms for 2024. Rare to find this standard of quality, attention to detail, comfort and service. Well done!

This motel had it all- gym facility, heated pool and international cable news channels; rooms were comfortable, shower was a walk in with plenty of HOT water! Dinner was wonderful! At the top of the list!

The best motel ever. Huge statement, but after a couple of days on a motorcycle with a very painful back on dubious roads through the middle of Victoria, landed in this gem. Couldn't get into the motel the other members of the group was such luck. Staff were lovely, arranged bucket of ice to my room b4 I even got the gear off the bike. Undercover parking for said motorcycle, lift to next to my fantastic room. New smart TV, foxtel, so could watch AFL shows, comfy lounge to relax in, superb modern shower. Was pooped, so ordered room service, again, top notch, superbly delicious. Then, the bed was so comfortable, particularly with my back on edge. Sleep was easy and long. Quiet as, ready for next day. Perfection

Refurbished, good & clean. Rooms smelled a little damp. Nice to have a full service bar & restaurant that actually had some people in it. Service & food was great.

Fine dining and cocktail bar. Rooms are clean and modern. Fabulous menu. Highly recommend whether it be friday drinks or romantic night out with your loved one

Exceptional service, beautifully appointed and very clean rooms, quiet and centrally located. What a delight! Thanks so much to the helpful staff - from the tech help, front desk, room service and the person who cleaned my windscreen the day I left! All I can say is wow! I can’t recommend highly enough. And I haven’t even started on the food! Definitely the best motel food I have EVER had - beats the Hyatt hands down! Thanks everyone, I’ll be back!

Staff are professional , friendly & always helpful, a real delight. Pool is amazing and has a spa. Had breakfast at the restaurant which was cheaper and better than most cafe's. Room was modern with a big TV and all the on demand movies. Only negative was I had a room facing the fairly busy main road. There is no double glazing so i could hear every truck, car & motorcycle going up the road. From 1- 5AM it's quiet, but that's about it. If your a light sleeper, request a room off the road. Can't fault it otherwise. Will definitely be back, better than anything else I have tried in Wangaratta.

Beautifully appointed accommodation. Loved the large walk-in shower. If staying here, make sure you have dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.

A really pleasant place to stay. I was the tour leader for a group of 30 that visited Wangaratta for just one night. Every member of my group that I spoke to afterwards had only good things to say. The staff were excellent, providing genuinely some of the best hospitality service I've received anywhere.

A great place to stay, all of the staff have been warm and welcoming. I’d recommend eating at the restaurant, the food is superb and as good as any of the meals that we had in Melbourne.

I want to sincerely thank the wonderful and friendly staff at the Gateway Wangaratta. They provided me an area to do some work while I was waiting for my room to be ready and came to check on me and also help me out with a charger that I was in need of for my computer. They went out of their way to make me feel like a valued customer. The room was appealing, comfortable, modern, and just hit the spot. Nothing was too much trouble. Room service was good and when I left, a little note was on the windscreen to say they had cleaned the windscreen and to drive safely. What a lovely touch. Well done! I have never been to Wangaratta before but I am actually going to travel back there and I have told all my friends what a lovely and friendly town it is. I don't think I have been anywhere like it before. Everyone around town was truly the most friendly people I have come across.

My wife and I recently had our NYE Wedding Reception at the Gateway. We stayed at the three bedroom townhouse and had a lot of guest's stay in regular rooms. Everyone said how excellent their experience was in terms of the accommodation and most enjoyed the pool as well! For our Wedding, Wendy and her team did an AMAZING job, special shout out to Dion (we hope we remembered his name properly ;-) ) for managing food and drinks for the majority of the night. The food, drinks and service was all outstanding. My wife and I would 100% recommend this as any option for anyone looking in the Wangaratta area!!!

Loved our overnight stay, wish it could have been longer. Pool, sauna spa, outdoor lounges everywhere, smart TV, lovely rooms although to drink at the bar the prices were ridiculously overpriced. $12.50 for a Pint of beer. Minimum bottle of champagne $40.00. Staff were very pleasant. I can't wait to go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are attentive, courteous and professional. Our room was beautiful and clean and the option to add a portacot on was great as it was set up ready for us upon arrival. We really loved that the restaurant opened at 6am as we have a 1 year old and we’re up early but also had to leave by 7.30am so appreciate the early breakfast availability. The food was amazing and Meryl who served us was wonderful. She is a stand out employee who went above and beyond looking after us and ensuring we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back in the future ❤️

I've had the pleasure of staying at Gateway many times. The facilities are excellent, but most striking is the quality of the staff, who consistently go above and beyond in all domains. 5 stars isn't high enough to reflect how outstanding they are!

I stayed at this hotel last week. Very comfortable and although it was very cold the room was very comfortable, cosy and warm. Everything in the room and hotel was well maintained and looked brand new. But what made this a particularly good stay was the staff, shout out to Dion in the restaurant, polite, interested and friendly. He made my day with his conversation and wit. Thanks so much Dion

The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The room was brilliant with an awesome home entertainment system. Shower was big and updated, and the bed was comfortable. However the walls were extremely thin that l could here my neighbour snoring all night. The in-house restaurant was worthwhile and unbelievable.

The staff were amazing truly went above and beyond for me throughout my stay! The room was incredibly well kept and clean. The restaurant had lots of choice and provided me beautiful meals through my stay!

Lovely clean room with Comfy bed & pillows. Breakfast menu amazing & very reasonable price. My husband Loved the waffles with seasonal fruit @ $12.50 Staff very welcoming. Certainly will return.

Picture look nice. In real, it looks like a motel. They should build a better hotel with bigger room than with a swimming pool in the middle? Perhaps not having one is better and put all the extra space in the room instead. Who will use the pool in winter? And the pool look like a ordinary backyard pool, nothing special. All the furniture in the room is random and doesn't really blend in, and room is small and clutter. Room is worth $130 to $140 each night Max.

I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Gareway Hotel Wangaratta - I stayed with them for a few nights, just after coming out of hospital, when I was in a pretty vulnerable state, and I couldn't have felt more cared for and secure than at this hotel. The room & bed was incredibly comfortable, I felt so safe and at home, it was super luxurious, which is something that was consistent throughout the entire hotel and my experience there. Staff ALWAYS went above and beyond to be helpful and caring, it really touched me. The entire atmosphere - especially the dining bar, pool, spa etc was superb and I forgot I was in Wangaratta the entire time I was there to be honest - it felt more like being at a luxury hotel on coastal Queenland somewhere. I can't thank you enough for caring for me. And I cannot recommend this place well enough. Although I didn't venture out of my room to eat, and was a little too shy to venture out apart from once while my room was serviced (I went in the outdoor spa and pool and lounged in one of the cabanas - which I ended up enjoying so much I stayed there most of the day even after my room was finished!) I did order room service and the food was absolutely amazing. Honestly a 5 star hotel. Thank you so much again. I really needed this (Also, my car windshield was washed complimentary every day I used my car - I found a lovely little note on the windshield every time I got in my car to go anywhere. It's the little things that make a big difference. So lovely)

Our room is beautiful and spotless. The lifts and undergroung parking were a welcome addition. Just came back from our dine in meal at the hotel restaurant. Our waitress Sarah was a joy. Her friendliness and efficiency was delightful. The meal was plentiful and of a very high standard.The drink waiter was efficient and super vigilant. Our only regret is that we are only spending one night here.

Stayed 2 nights here. First time and was not disappointed at all. Was welcomed with a smile and the service was excellent. Room serviced everyday. Comfy bed. Fantastic shower. Ordered breakfast both days and that was very good too. Dined in the restaurant one night and the service was top notch there too. Our drinks waiter was right onto a glass being empty and didn’t have to sit there waiting for a drink. Very efficient operation. Underground secure parking with lifts to whatever level you are on is a big plus too. 6/5.
