My wife suggested going here with our daughter and, to be honest, I wasn't particularly optimistic. However, the place is actually awesome! There are plenty of things to do there for kids including a playground, and area where they can ride toy tractors, farm animals, and (for the braver ones) a high-ish wooden platform from they can jump into a stack of hay. They also have a bee hive with a window so you can see inside (the window is covered by a wooden door so as not to disturb the bees). All in all, a great way to spend an afternoon, and in a very scenic setting.

This is just such a lovely place. The museum consists several buildings and outside areas. There is a small conventional museum, a farmers garden, 2 playgrounds, several buildings with live stock and two buildings showing the live nearly a hundred years ago including farming, logging and cheese making. Allow for several ours and be prepared to be outside and walking a lot. It's absolutely great for a family day out. There is a small restaurant with great views and ample parking. Perfect day out for the kids.

It was a lot of fun, with a very beautiful view. The Museum was very interesting, since you get to see how Farmers back in the 19th and 20th Century made their Cheese in this environment. This place is also great for Families with little Kids, since it has a big playground near the entrance, and a "in the forest" playground further up the path. Oh and, they also have Sheeps and Donkeys that you can pet.

Really great place for kids (and small kids too). All the toilets have inserts for tiny humans, this is a really nice touch and I appreciated it.

There is a lot to see for its price. There is detailed information on how farmers used to live and work, it has beautiful views and even a few play areas for kids.

Really great for kids! Probably the best museum I have been to which caters for both grown-ups and kids.

A nice museum which shows the hardships and life's of the farmers of old times. Knowledge of the German language is advisable.

Great experience for children and adults. Walking through a cows stomach, seeing the old methods of farming in the Allgäu mountains. Can only recommend this for everybody

We had an entire lovely day here. Everything was very amusing for our 5 year old son. Breathing views from the restaurant. The place is very well run

Definitely worth the visit! Great for children but also nicely made for adults. Many things to explore. Daily special events. Check out the website.

Too bad we had only 2-3 hours to spend at this great place. Interesting stuff to read about, informative videos of the local traditions and recent history of the region, maaaany options for children to have fun, cool things about cows :) and many more. It's definitely worth the visit. Plus, we bought some delicious milk products (butter and different types of cheese) from the local cheese dairy, which we enjoyed at breakfast.
