Devaa Baapaa temple is dedicated to Naag (snake) Mahaaraaj. They are considered to be divine and are also worshipped throughout the Indian Sub continent. According to Hinduism some of the snakes referred with the Gods are believed to be their great devotees. In HInduism, Shesha (divine snake) also known as Sheshanaga, is the nagraja or king of all nagas and one of the primal beings of creation. Lord Vishnu is often depicted as resting on Shesha. Vasuki is a serpent king in Hinduism and Buddhism. He is described as having a gem called Nagamani on his head. Manasa, another naga, is his sister. Vāsuki is Lord Shiva's snake.
