I went to Smashburger in Wantagh and ordered a classic double stack burger, single classic smash burger, smash fries, and smash tots. This was the worst location I have ever been to! Everything I received was beyond greasy which you can clearly see in the picture. My fries were glistening from the grease and everything I tried tasted like a mouthful of oil. I was beyond disappointed with the quality of service. My food wasn’t even hot. I received everything cold and I couldn’t eat the smash tots and smash fries so I asked for a refund. I forced myself to eat the burger but I refused to eat the sides. Luckily the manager refunded me for the fries and tots, but I still spent money on those disgusting burgers which totaled about $19. Save your money and avoid this location unless you want a heart attack from all the grease.

Never crowded during lunch... Food is prepped quickly...Never disappoints...

Actually my first time at a Smashburger - I was pleasantly surprised... the burgers were pretty tasty! Honestly, the high pricing at these burger joints always bothers me - especially when they don't come with fries. Spending $40 on two burgers, a side of tots and a large drink is ludicrous! Again, the burgers were good and tasted fresh. Visually pleasing as well. Smash-tots were actually the star of the show... a garlic rosemary flavored, petite potato puff of crispy love - that's what we're dealing with here. Location is clean, dining inside or out. I'd recommend if you don't mind a high price meal. **UPDATE** Had a last minute late night meal here and it was again pretty decent. Had the double burnt ends burger and it was a lot better than I expected it to be. Still unhappy that I spent about $70 on 5 burgers; but it was better than faster food.

Review for those who are sick because of Gluten. One of the few establishments that has Gluten free buns and fries, Shake Shack has gluten free buns but their fries are not. Five Guys has Gluten free fries but offer no gluten free buns. But Smash Burger has both! The only reason I took off one star is that the bun crumbled and did not have the elasticity of a good bun. There are gluten free buns that do. The meat was angus and tasted really fresh. The toppings were cheddar lettuce ,tomato, onion and Ketchup . The toppings were all fresh! The fries were good not greasy! The facility was clean and the staff was on point. The parking lost was big too!

Fantastic burgers similar in taste to a Five Guys or Shake Shack with a bit more affordable pricing. Fully cooked and spilling with juices. The shake advertised was no where near what they were advertising and the bacon in the sandwich was extremely salty. Smash Fries had extra seasoning such as rosemary for added flavor.

The Wantagh, NY Smashburger always gets your order wrong. Make sure you check your bag before leaving or don't try to get delivery because you'll never get a correct order.

Four of us dined in. Enjoyed the freshness of the food. Liked that there was sweet potato fries on the menu. Ordered them and they weren't greasy.

I ordered the Colorado and received the a completely different burger. On my way out I decided to get a milkshake which was 3/4 full and costs $7. To add insult to injury the kid making it made one for himself at the same time which was more filled. Definitely wouldn’t recommend

The food was cold, the service is slow. I ordered, the brisket burger, it came cold and with excessive salt, the smash taters were soaked in oil and cold. The wings arrived after we finished eating our food and we were ready to leave. I would not recommend, Burger King was better.

No impossible or beyond burger options ... their actual veggie burger is horrendous — Truffle mushroom swiss. It’s a shame they don’t embrace impossible or beyond meat alternatives. Go to Burger Village instead.

Terrible service for a take out shake. If you order it you have to wait until the orders, if any are behind you are taken before the single person at the register starts to make your shake. And, if anybody else has ordered a shake before or after you, they don't give you yours until they have made all of the shakes that have been ordered, then they give them out at the same time. Not an efficient way of doing business. I hope they look into revising this method.

Slow service... noticed they only had one person doing the to go and dine in orders. Waited almost 1/2 hour for 2 burgers with fries.

HAMBURGERS were great. But their rosemary french fries are DELICIOUS! Place was clean and the staff friendly. I would visit again.

As a vegetarian of 18 years, I have had many disappointing veggies burgers. I was pleasantly surprised with how great the black bean burger was. I was a little thrown by the mix of mustard and ketchup but I tried it anyway. It was very delicious. I highly recommend it. I also liked that it wasn’t overly pricey. Great experience. We can’t wait to come back.

customer Service was terrible, they helped for other people before me and I was there first. I only ordered one thing there was no reason i should’ve waited over 20 minutes. and on top of that my fries were cold. Not coming here again

We placed an online order but when it was delivered something was missing. It was close to closing so we had to go pick it up but the manager was very friendly and apologized for the mistake. The food was amazing. Top 3 Turkey burger of all time. Didn't know they have chicken wings now. Gotta try them next time. I must say not all the locations have been the same experience but this one the food and service is on point 99.9% of the time.. My stomach did not complain...

My husband is lactose intolerant and cannot have cheese therefore we ordered the Quarter Pounder (not the one with cheese) and unfortunately we received one with cheese. Very disappointing!!

The service was fast, people were nice, and food was yummy! I ordered a salad (I know, I know), but it was great! Nice crunchy bacon and topped with a fried egg! My son (4 years) ate half of a kids cheeseburger and was full, my husband has a normal burger and enjoyed it. We decided to eat outside and the staff brought the food out for us and even cleared our table.

The staff is rude, unprofessional, racist and mismanaged.. The young Hispanic looking guy and the Hispanic light skin girl kept flirting and got rude when I asked her for the wait time. The guy with beard and the tall girl with black hair were laughing and chatting while only 1 cook was putting in the work. Shame on all of you specially on the young Hispanic dude.

First time I've been here since i was a teenager. Maybe my taste buds changed. So salty, so greasy, idk why i used to go so frequently. It's still fine if you're in the mood to kinda just eat your feelings, but don't come here expecting a quality meal.

Smashburger is one of those places for us that you just got to have it sometimes and it hits the spot. The burgers are not greasy and so very worth it. Love the smashfries and the onion rings. There isn't much on the menu that i havent tried.

The one rule of grilling meat is dont smash it. This is a travesty and works better as a joke than as a resturant. Its over cooked physically and in the original idea. Try again guys you can do better

Brussel sprouts weren't cooked and were rawish.... Turkey burgers are small and it was a big deal that took 3 tries to get my order right. Went back, tots weren't hot and for 20 dollars they do NOT give you enough food. The cashier Chris was so sweet and fixed my tots and got me more sauces. Real sweet young man.f

It is the 3rd time I ordered from this place and for the 3rd time they screwed up my order and because it was done through grubhub I have to pay for delivery again. You people such, it doesn't take a genius to READ A TICKET and VERIFY THE ORDET IS CORRECT BEFORE SENDING IT OUT!!!!

The people who work there are very rude and don't care if your food is cold

I was greeted by a nice man at the front and placed my order. Was shocked by the number of call a head orders. The two ladies working the window were doing an amazing job getting orders out along with a manager in the kitchen making sure the kitchen stayed on task to handle the dinner rush. Job well done.

This place is horrible! Everytime I order from here my order gets messed up. I got a chicken sandwich and I ordered it with bbq sauce and guess what... Number 1 I didn't get bbq sauce on it. Number 2. The thing wasn't even cooked! I have ordered from here at least 50 times and 39% of the time they messed it up! I DO NOT recommend this place.
