Had a reservation for a birthday dinner. The WORST SERVICE EVER! They were not prepared for us. It took an entire hour after we order drinks to get any. It took another 40 minutes before everyone had their drinks! Some of us finally got our food but didn’t have any drinks! We asked several times for chips and did t receive any. Instead, our cheese dips went cold. After bringing this up with management, nothing improved! Many of us got to-go boxes because the food was too cold to eat. NEVER AGAIN! To top it off, our glasses and plates should have never been served!

Unfortunately the atmosphere was a little too hot for me - my party all agreed. We assumed that the AC was non-existent. As I meandered up to our table I felt like Frodo approaching Mt Doom, Sam at his side... sweat dripping from my brow. I ordered a margarita on the rocks. Fortunately the margarita was delicious, unfortunately the margarita did not make the temperature acceptable. The night became more uncomfortable as the temperature ticked up. To make it worse, as my other drink arrived, there was lipstick upon the brim - had I already gotten so inebriated that I had been taken advantage of? Nay, despite internet Memes, Sam is a straight boi. It was some female succubus from a fortnite ago, who's presence is still apparent upon thine drink. Food was fairly good, service was great... but by the end of the night I was more like Gollum falling into the lava. I clutched my margarita, my precious, but it couldn't save me.

El Cotija did not excite me but the atmosphere was nice and the salsa was the best I have had compared to other Mexican restaurants I have visited. We were a little disappointed in that Yuengling was not available yet on the menu. Supply issues? Perhaps. Our server was very friendly and courteous. The food was typical flavors yet there were some house specialties I have not seen before. I ordered the El Combo and could not finish it all which was a first for me. We had finished our meal and waited longer than expected for our server to realize. Combined with the beer issue, I gave a rating of 4 stars yet realistically, I would say a 4.5 is more justified.

Been coming here for at least 10 years or more and it’s always been good until lately. I don’t know if they got different cooks or what but their food isn’t good anymore. I don’t know what happened but I will quit coming for awhile hopefully management does something cause this place use to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. We might give it a try one day but it will be awhile!! Do better El Cotija!!!

Our first time here. We all enjoyed our food! We didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. Food came out quickly and the employees was helpful and polite.

Ok, let's start off with the fabulous Margarita! It was filled to the brim and salted on ice got a small and that's all I needed on this lunch date, the stuffed jalapeño appetizer tasted great had steak and shrimp with cheese broiled on top. This restaurant is family friendly and the prices are reasonable for the taste of the food and the amount you get on the plate. The salsa had a pinch of heat and the tortilla chips were hot. The booths, tables and chairs could use some tlc & the menus had not been cleaned.

Great service and good food! Hubby loved carnitas. Street tacos were super yummy! They were able to fix them with no seasoning to meet my nightshade allergy. Thank you! Would for sure recommend!

My first time ordering from this restaurant since I moved here last week. I ordered a taco salad today at 1:34 on my lunch break. Was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Came to pick up the salad 13 minutes later.and a male employee said give it 5 more minutes. I left the restaurant and went to the store and came back. A female employee told me to hold on. I stood there for 5 minutes and a male employee came up and asked if he could help me. I said this is my second time to pick up my order that was only to take 10 minutes to prepare. He got a manager. A female came up asked me if she could help me. I told her I was waiting on a order and this is my second time here. The lady took my card and charged it and said let me make you a fresh salad. I said better yet give me my money back. She said we can't give you your money back. She said I was just trying to make it fresh for you. I told her that this is my second time here to pick up my order. I am on lunch break I don't have time to wait for you to make me a new one I have to get back to work. She said well you can take this one. The lettuce was wilted. the shell was soggy. I called and told the manager I will not be back.

First time here and its amazing. The food is great but our server Nano was even better. Thank you for the great lunch reccomendation and fantastic service Nano.

This place is awesome the family that own it are all awesome as well. This is our spot we love coming here we already know what we will order before we go. That's how much we love this place. They make some of the best margaritas in town hands down. Always on point

We have only been there the one time so far but the food was excellent and the service was spectacular! Friendly and accommodating and just overall pleasant! We will be going back again, for sure! The interior is a little ... "Loved" but you can tell that the people working there are happy and I can deal with some messed up paint if it means I'm going to have pleasant service, amazing food, and an all around great experience!

One of the best Mexican Restaurants I've Been to. Ordered contijo quesadilla & Pina colada. The quesadilla was more of a giant soft taco but it was filled. The guacamole sauce was really good. Fast service. No complaints at all.

This was my first time here, and Ashley was amazing. She gave me suggestions on margaritas. I'll have to try strawberry and guava like she mentioned next time . She was very friendly and communicated with me also.Had a great time, thanks. Ashley will come back to see you.

Great food, great service. We were celebrated his 77th birthday and they sang to him and gave him a nice dessert. It was really nice. We'll be coming back in the future.

We were a party of 20 sharing surprise dinner for a Birthday Girl (42), grown girl... We had 1 server who wrote down NOTHING, I do have to give the little ole man credit, most orders were right but, he (by himself) couldn't keep up with salsa, chips, drink refills. Some (3) extra items (about $24.00) on our ticket that we did not order (6 people on this ticket), bill was already high but, don't want to pay for what we didn't eat/drink. He did take it off after being told a couple of times that it wasn't our food! Everybody else said that their bill was right so, don't know where that came from. There was absolutely NO teamwork!!! Servers would huddled up around cash register and not attempt to assist. We were even told by a bus boy (when we ask if he could give someone a message that we need drinks, please) "I'm busy." How rude! I know it's not his job to get us refills but, he could have passed the message when he went in the back... Food is usually good but, service always poor! Another example of Good Help is Hard to Find! Kinda wonder WHY we try again...

It was a graduation celebration dinner for me. I was allowed to decorate tables and place party favors at the table. The food was excellent and delicious. We had a party of 24 people and the servers were polite and very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed being the family atmosphere.

Love this place! The lemon pepper wings were amazing! We had an awesome waitress and the prices were great!

If I could give zero stars, I would. When my husband and I first arrived there was not a host but there was a family waiting. We waited about 15 minutes. A staff member showed up and took our names and said it would 15 more minutes. When we were finally seated a server took our drink order 10 minutes after. Another 10 minutes went by and our server never returned. We didn’t receive anything not even water. The table next to us were seated after us and already had drinks and chips/salsa. The restaurant was not busy. We left.

I have never been here. Had a Dr appointment right down the road so after appointment me n my husband decided to eat here. Well worth the price for the amount of food u get. I ordered a chicken taco salad. There was more chicken then I cud eat. I will for sure b going back.

I had the best experience when I dined here. The food was great, loved the atmosphere. Will always ask for Alex every time we go. He constantly met our every need. He was even patient with our 2 year old, and constantly made sure he felt like he was taken care of as well.

Great atmosphere and service! The food is delicious, they have huge margaritas, and we always get pretty quick service. I gave the food 4 stars because we didn't like the guacamole. Everything else we've had so far has been great!

Amazing food and great price. I have not found Mexican food this good in years. I've been around the country, and I've had a lot of Mexican food. This place is at the top of my list. The food is so good. The portion is perfect. I ate all I could, then tried to hype myself to finish the last little bit. My kids love the steak quesadilla. I had food from here, and it hit the spot so well I craved it and had to go again.

My preferred choice for Mexican food. Great lunch specials. Dinner prices are moderate and reasonable. Great patio for outside dinning. Food is cooked fresh and served promptly. I visit at least 3 times a week.

Beat the Friday rush. Food was great our server was spot on. Food came out quickly and accurately, drinks were kept full. Service well done.

I don't know if we always pick the right time of day or the servers like us because we tip well. The service was excellent the food came out almost as fast as we ordered it and was delicious as always. Atmosphere is typical and always clean.

I have been here for a business dinner with a bunch of colleagues. The place was quiet and conversation friendly, the staff were welcoming, the food was good, the margaritas were great! Also, the prices are very reasonable! Recommended!

Don’t waste your time or money. This place used to be great. Service was terrible Our server Ericka didn’t get my order correct and felt it was more important to sweep the restaurant an hour and a half before closing than check on the only table she had. There were no more than 6 customers when we arrived. We ran out of chips and had the basket sitting at the end of the table and it wasn’t until she brought our food and as she went to walk away we asked for more chips did we finally get more chips. Not once did she ask us if we needed anything. Came to the table to take the drink orders and once more to bring the food. She didn’t even know the food was wrong until we left the table to go to the front where there was no one around. Had to open the front door to make the chime go off for anyone to come around and the bartender finally got Erika. The worst waitresses I’ve ever had. The chips were stale and it seemed like there were more employees than customers. Don’t know what happened to this place it used to be great. First review I’ve ever left on a restaurant…there are better places to go.

We are new in town and i must say this was probably one of the best mexican restaurants we have ever eaten at! Alex was our server, and he was the absolute best! Very fun and outgoing person. We all love his kindness and personality. Me and my husband had the fajitas for two, very delicious and the kiddos had the tacos with rice and beans, they loved it! Alex even went out of his way to make my son a birthday dessert and everybody sang to him. This was an awesome experience! Thank you Alex, we will be back real soon!!!
