Second time here and its always a great experience. The servers are knowledgeable and attentive no matter how busy. The food is always great and the cocktails are well crafted. THE DESSERTS ,if you can get your hands on them, I’ve come to learn are made by the owners mother. This past week I had the pleasure of having the carrot cake and I am extremely particular about Carrot Cake. This woman is truly doing the lords work with her baking Best Carrot cake I’ve ever had. The Pistachio Cake when available is out of this world

One of the best casual restaurants around. Great drinks and amazing food. Get the mozzarella sticks, they are AMAZING. Living on the west bay, it’s rare for me to go out of my way to the east bay just for dinner or lunch, but this is one of those places I absolutely will drive 35-40 minutes for.

I gave them 5 stars after last 3 visits but I decided took 2 stars from it because of a poor service today. I went there with my 6 years old son for lunch and there was no table available so we sat at the bar. My son felt uncomfortable so I asked my server to give us next available table. She said yes but never came back and gave next open table to people who came after us. We stayed at the bar until we leave. We bump into my friends with two kids who came after us. They ordered foods after us and the server gave them foods. I asked when our foods would be served. She said she would check and didn't come back to let us know it. I had to go to her to ask when our foods would be served. Then they said some excuses. I think they messed up the order. And gave us foods after taking for a while. She didn't apologize for it. I know they were busy because it was crowded on election day. But they didn't care young children and costumers. After my previous three tries, I had given them 5 stars, but after today's bad service, I chose to deduct 2 points. --------------------------------------- Our first time visiting this restaurant. First of all, I'm puzzled as to why I didn't arrive sooner than today. Second, I really enjoyed the interior's combination of black and a dark oak tree color. Finally, I really enjoy the cuisine. There were so many items on the menu that my husband and I wanted to try that it was difficult to decide what we ordered. We selected fish and chips, bang bang shrimp, and spinach and artichoke dip. Every meal we received was excellent. I particularly like the Bang Bang Shrimp. My server told me the recipe after I inquired about the bang bang sauce the chef makes. Without a doubt, I'll give it a try at home. I additionally desired to test Frozen pineapple cocktails next time as I couldn't have it because of my headache today.

I'm a big fan of the square peg! I've had the opportunity to go a few times and every order has been great. Each time we have gone we have gotten excellent service! My favorite burger is definitely the pub burger! Great house sauce and the meat is on point. Street tacos and Mozz sticks are other favorites here for us! The pub can get really busy so make sure you arrive early! Enjoy!

Great place, loved my experience las night. All of the staff was SO nice and friendly. Our server (I'm sorry I forget her name she was blond!!) explained everything to us perfectly and had perfect timing. The drinks were BOMB and pretty! Will definitely be coming back. The drink and food menu were both extensive with many options. The espresso martini was unique and tasted amazing, recommended by our server. The three of us each got 2 drinks, and an entree, and we also shared apps. Our bill was under $100 ?!?! Definitely making this the new summer spot, thank you Square Peg!!

Finally found the time to go and it was well worth it. Showed up a bit after they opened, and beat the crowd, as by the time we left the place was packed. Food and drinks were amazing, prices fair(total for 2 meals, app, 3 mixed drinks and tip around $90) considering the food and drinks(highly recommend the apple mule) were top notch. I'm generally a fan of trying new things or specials you dont normally see, so we tried the loaded Brussel sprouts, and they were amazing. I usually do not like any kind of onions, but the pickled onion strips on the plate went well with the flavors of the Brussel sprout, bacon, and goat cheese. For meals we ordered the apple prosciutto brie sandwich and the chicken queso birria tacos. Both were delicious, with the fries that came with the sandwich an unexpected hit(fluffy inside, crunchy flavorful outside). As the restaurant is pretty small, I can see why many people have told us the wait can be very long, but I would say, if you can beat the rush, or don't mind the wait, this is for sure a place worth the visit!

On Saturday 6/10 I took my 3 nephews ages 7,5 and 4 to your establishment for lunch. We had been there previously and they asked to go to have lunch there. I was Very disappointed by the experience. First of all, we were asked to wait in some overflow room while we waited for a table. We were the only 4 asked to do this. I wanted to leave but the boys wanted to stay so I went with it. The hostess was not very kind, then some rude waitress went in back to ask us if we wanted a drink. When we did get to our table, no silverware were brought to us. We were treated with disrespect and were later offered 1 set of silverware for 4 people. The service seemed rushed like they were annoyed by the children ( who were well behaved). I do believe you had a group of racist women working that day and we will Never return to your establishment. It was disappointing since the 3 boys were looking forward to having lunch there for a second time. Some cultural sensitivity training may be needed at your establishment. Extremely Disappointed.

This place never disappoints. Food is always on point. Great service. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of food. The slightly dark and rustic atmosphere is great as well. Four stars instead of five though because it can get really loud when the place fills up, and it becomes difficult to have a conversation. They do have limited outdoor seating, which is great when the weather cooperates. I never turn down an opportunity to come here.

It was sooooo great to stumble across this hidden gem! From the food, the service, the staff, the environment... Everything was absolutely phenomenal!! A definite go to, now on my list of favorites!! I had the Loaded Brussel Sprouts ... Bacon 🥓, Goat Cheese 🧀, and Pickled Red Onions 🧅😋

Phenomenal bartenders making perfect drinks, friendly servers, fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere. There was nothing I could have asked for to make it better.

Food 5 STAR excellent!!! I suggest the mozzarella sticks. ONLY REASON 3 STARS is because it says take out on Google every day there open but there is NO TAKE OUT ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY 😡😡😡😡,

Food service and friendliness is great. Busy location sends the message of quality. Food is a blend of classic dishes with a slight spin aimed to please. This is Food satisfaction at its best. Service gets a little less attentive as the kitchen closes and servers sit to have a final final they forget the customers are still there but the bartender will eventually get to you.

During the Pandemic 😷 I ordered take out from this restaurant and had a very tough day. I ordered a late lunch and was going to try their dessert special. I then realized that I didn’t have enough cash for anything extra and told the cashier that I’d just be getting the sandwich. To my surprise, I opened the bag and found my food along with the dessert and a note with it. I still have it and am sharing it in the photos…I was so surprised and grateful 🥲and that act of pure kindness will always be an amazing memory.

Excellent delicious food. Service could have been better. Had to ask for beverage refill and no one came to ask if the food was fine until I was already done. Also waited close to 40 minutes for our meals at lunch time on a weekday. Street parking only which can be an issue.
