Just ate here tonight and so no more to all you pizza lover. The flavors, the way they baked the pizza to perfection is #1. The waiting staff is great, love the service overall. I’m person who love bbq flavor pizza and there sauce is 🤤 great. Can’t wait to come back with the family next time.

Classic Detroit style pizza that everyone loves. I come here when I get that crazing and this place satisfies. Consistently delivering great pizza again and again. The manager Bill is a class act that is passionate about producing great pizza and service. Make sure to say hello 👋. Our waitress Julia was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed for a great family meal. They have a great "Taste of Summer BBQ" collaboration with Slows BBQ, both ionic landmarks in Detroit. I highly recommend the brisket or Yard Bird pizza while they have it on the menu. It's truly one of a kind.

Yesterday I ordered a large Sicilian to be ready at 3:15 for take out. This location used to be my mom's favorite pizza, but that was many years ago before they changed owner's. It was for her birthday and I thought I'd surprise her with a pizza from Buddy's. Needless to say I will NEVER order from Buddy's again! This was the worst pizza I've had since I last ordered pizza from this location, which was early 2021, when I received a pizza that was similarly bad. Thankfully someone else paid for it. The crust this time (like last time) was unbelievably hard and dry, like the pizza was made the day before and had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. I don't think the cooks here have a clue what they're doing, nor do they care. Worse yet, even though I arrived 5 minutes early to pick it up, the pizza was barely warm by the time we arrived at my mom's house. The cheese and toppings were just ok, average at best. The special marinara sauce they use for the Sicilian was ok but cold, and spread very unevenly (a few slices barely had any sauce at all). This pizza cost $28. Overpriced garbage, to say the least. If I thought this place was hit or miss as some people here say, I would have called and complained and demanded they remake it, or order something else. But as it is I have ZERO confidence in the product and wouldn't want to waste my time. Better pizza can be had literally ANYWHERE around here. Don't waste your money and time here. Later that night I threw up the pizza, good riddance! This place is only still going because of the name.

We decided to go with the limited time Slows pizza that is offered until September, we got two different kinds one had pulled chicken & bacon and the other had brisket. You need to get in to try it, cooked to perfection and their ranch is amazing. We also got a veggie pizza which was delicious. The Greek salad was so yummy and the way it was displayed was awesome. Honestly, everything turned out great, our waitress, I believe her name is Julia was super attentive and very nice. The only thing was it was a little stuffy in there but as a whole experience, everything was awesome. Go follow Eat this Detroit on Instagram!!

I stopped going to the Shelby location because the salad was skimpy on toppings and the pizza was hit-or-miss. Had bad experience with a manager at the Warren location a few years ago (for some reason yelling at my 80 year old father was reasonable - and then giving me a hard time for complaining about it was okay with her). She appears to be gone. The last order from Warren's Buddy's was decent (still a little skimpy on toppings). But, the order yesterday?!? The picture of the pizza shows the worst of it. I opened the bag with the salad - poorly topped. A handful of salami, a sparse smattering of smaller cut cheese and no ham (ok, one piece). Had that been it - I probably would've just said - "ok, Buddy's just doesn't do salads anymore." But, then I opened the pizza box.... My regular pepperoni and old world pepperoni was a joke. How does a restaurant like Buddy's let this leave the kitchen? We pay a premium for what is supposed to be the best Detroit Style Pizza, the legendary Buddy's. Some slices of the pizza were missing toppings completely - and the entire thing was cooked poorly. Again: it should have left the kitchen, this is an embarrassment to what Buddy's Pizza should be. I've gone to Buddy's as long as I can remember. Growing up in Hamtramck, where my best friend's Mom was a Buddy's Manager - it was a staple. I used to fold pizza boxes and play bocce ball there. What's become of this Detroit institution is just sad.

Tried the chicken sandwich and tenders, no flavor what so ever. The chicken sandwich had a slice of cheese on it, and it didn’t even look good..

The Detroit Public TV ( I didn't name it) with pep inside and out is a great representation of Detroit style pan pizza. That crispety crunch on the crust is sublime
