I had one of THE most racially uncomfortable situations happen today at the M-Tech building with staff members of Macomb Community College. Not only was I called a dog by a staff member, but as I was attempting to register to take my test, I was denied and treated unfair. Not only after that, a white lady after me was let in to take her test. When I tried to tell customer service I was lost, the lady just shrugged her shoulders and laughed. I will be filing a complaint and letting their funders know the type of racist actions going on in Macomb County. Do not allow any of your family members to attend this glorified trade school or they will experience unfair treatment if they are of color. RACIST SCHOOL and STAFF

Saddened to be leaving this review. I feel like this community college does the bare minimum to get my money and give me a piece of paper. Can we get some career resource support? If there is a career resources department, they do a terrible job assisting students and graduates. Just tried to call the counseling and academic advising department at 3:05 p.m., but was told "we don't have any counselors or advisors here right now, call back on Monday when they stay on the phones til 5:30." I guess being open until 4:30 on Friday is just a suggestion. I would try to complain, but if the advisors left at three, then the management was gone at noon. Maybe I should just expect less from my school, or maybe someone else should run the place more effectively. Two stars for giving you the piece of paper or the transfer credits. Don't expect much else.

Today, after attempting to resolve a grade for a month and over a dozen phone calls, we made an appointment with his counselor Angela Allen. My child is dule enrolled. He is in high school and a minor. He has been getting a run around for a month. He still needs guidance and is learning, and as a parent of a minor, I have the right to be present. Upon entering our appointment, my son moved to the right to sit so that I could also sit next to him. The counselor Angela Allen rudely said to my son "no you sit." You're the student. I'm handicapped but no problem. I leaned against the wall for 5 minutes. Also, I had to speak to my son because she didn't allow me to speak to her. There is no reason to be rude. My son was going to finish out his associates at Macomb, but after today, there is no way. We are currently sitting in the Macomb parking lot making an appointment. We have an appointment for orientation tomorrow at Oakland University, where they encourage parents to participate and come to the school.

worst school ever i can’t believe i wasted all that time and money on such an underperforming, unhelpful, unprofessional school. They don’t take accountability for their actions even when they have hindered their students from graduating, Counselors and Advisors lying in student notes to cover their a** I’m so happy to withdraw and finish my degree (1 class) somewhere else. I refuse to ever take any courses their again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody, take your money to a institution who are actually prepared to help you reach your goals.

Thankful to conclude my business with the college. I agree completely with the other reviews that indicate their real concern is only about the money. The school micromanages and holds FA funds for extended timeframes. They restrict the purchase of certain technology with FA funds. Professors are allowed to provide erroneous grades, and students are penalized as a result. There should be an external audit of minority grades and financial records. If I had it to do over…. This would never be my school of choice. BEWARE

Instead of spending money on renovating buildings/parking lots they should be spending money on hiring new people. I don't know if the workers are rude because they are underpaid or if they simply lack people skills...either way...the staff members(minus teachers) who works at South Campus are terrible. They are not only NOT KNOWLEDGABLE...they lack many interpersonal skills. The teachers seem to care more than the administration...but I feel like it is like that everywhere. Put all the work and blame on the people teaching while you make matters worse and then refuse to take accountability.

This college is only useful as a transfer student (get in and out as fast as possible). The staff in the Financial Aid & Counseling are pretty terrible. They're pretty much unhelpful in every way. Expect to do all the leg work and research yourself to get the correct information and steps going forward. I've mostly leaned on the expertise of the University I'm transferring to and other college graduates I know. The teaching staff is pretty sad too. Definitely always check "Rate My Professor" cause there's some pretty mediocre instructors here... Do better MCC... 🚮 Also! There's no cafeteria, just pre-made, pre-packaged, and gas station food. 🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮

This college is dead. There are buildings everywhere, but no one's there. No information desk nothing. I went there with an expectation of a lively environment and what I experienced was far away from it. Wandered around lost. And mind you it was around 10. So they gotta hire more people.

I have the privilege of attending school at macomb community college and I couldn't be more proud. You will get as much out of your MCC experience as you put into it. I am currently taking math 0070 at south and ITCS online and I am overjoyed by the effort and dedication the professors and support staff have given and continue to give. Every day I arrive, I am excited about learning and being exposed to all the new ideas and teaching methods macomb has to offer. Highly recommended!

Called the career services and someone answered me he wasn't even conscious, he had no idea what to do when I asked about internships his name was Anthony. and call again and again then gave up.

Disclaimer: They sometimes pay me. Review: Some of the buildings are a little older, but all the classrooms are clean and well appointed with the latest electronic learning aids. The staff are friendly and helpful, instructors are knowledgeable and patient. Prices are excellent. Very good profession/continuing learning course offerings.

It's ok for the price you pay but they don't always go above and beyond to assist but a few some do. Update: Still am rather disappointed after 3 years in mcc and have only found 1 person who truly assisted me. She is Angela Allen! Very kind and helpful if you need help for classes she is the person to go to!

We were there for a Swap Meet for Mopar car 🚗 parts . I was very surprised a lot of people didn't have a mask 😷 on, yes there were those of us did wear a mask, the virus is still here people, I don't think this virus will be going away soon. The show was really good but , some vendors didn't show empty table's 🇺🇸🤔 Please stay safe and stay strong in Lord Jesus Christ ✝️

Volunteered for Veterans Stand Down Event. Great venue. Great security. Met some great Veterans . So glad i could participate. Well organized.

I was at the college for a toy fair on Sunday it's a well-organized event with so much to see and buy. Great model car competition and judging.

I went here for a few years while getting prepared to go to Oakland University and I absolutely loved my time at MCC! I dare to say the best of my education that I got was from here and one day I hope to work there so that I can give back to the place that gave me so much.

Was there for a toy show, all is good security was good it was clean made a couple of bucks
