Considering it has only just opened this place is fantastic. It’s so local and a perfect location for everyone to come. Prices are really good and all staff are so friendly and make sure that you are okay throughout. Place is spotless throughout and the atmosphere is great. We went for a meal for my partners birthday and we arrived and got seated on to a booth to be greeted with a happy birthday banner which I thought was such a nice touch. Then after we finished our food the guys came over played happy birthday over the music and a complimentary cocktail was served. Such a fantastic experience and because it’s so close by I will be taking many of visits here. Parking wise there isn’t much spaces as you can imagine but I’m sure you could just park across the road in the Lidl car park. Food was fresh and couldn’t of asked for a better dining experience.

I live a 15 minute drive from this restaurant and I ordered a takeaway over the phone. I only ordered one portion of egg pilau rice for my meal, but on arriving home I discovered it had not been put into the takeaway bag. I telephoned the restaurant to clarify whether they had charged me for the egg pilau rice and they confirmed that they had. I told them that I had not received it and to their credit they apologised and offered to deliver it. My problem is that I live a good 15 minute drive away and I already knew that that distance would be too far for them to deliver. When I told the guy on the phone where I live, he then started stuttering/mumbling that it was a bit too far ( which I do kind of understand, but without the rice my meal was spoilt ) and they asked if they could knock it off my next bill. Reluctantly, I told them that I would have to come and pick it up, as my meal was of no use without the egg pilau rice. Fortunately for me, I found a frozen portion of Chinese rice in my freezer and whilst not being the rice I wanted for my Indian food, I decided that I would have to make do with that, as I then decided that I was not making a half hour round trip journey. However, whilst I am here making this negative review, I have to pick up the Kingsway Lounge on their portion of madras curry sauce and the size of it. Every other takeaway that I use for Asian food, normally give one of two average sized food containers ( which I classify as either a small container or a large one ) that are generally used by most curry takeaways and restaurants. The Kingsway Lounge put their madras sauce in the smaller container, just like most other takeaways/restaurants, but all of the other takeaways/restaurants I use, always give you a full container of sauce, unlike the Kingsway Lounge who only half fill it if you are lucky. The first time that I used this place I only received half of a small container of sauce, the second time I used it, they gave about three quarters of a container and I'm being generous there, but this third and last time, it was back to being just about half full at the very most. After eating my meal I have to acknowledge that it was nice, the poppadoms, meat samosas, onion bhaji and the chicken tikka main course with a madras sauce were all very good. However, it was a big disappointment with the very small portion of madras sauce ( a point also made to me by a colleague who has used this place ) and the missing rice which did spoil things. In future I will stick to my regular places that I use, unless I hear that the Kingsway Lounge has addressed the issue of the small portion of curry sauce, when I might give them another try I don't like leaving negative reviews and I am sorry to do so, but sometimes you have state the facts. Date of visit: June 2023

Portion size on my mixed grill starter was enough for me, so I took half my main course home, which made a nice dinner the next evening. Lots of staff on so no problem in getting served. Saturday night about 70% full but it’s a big place with many tables. The special mains also had big portions, my madras was a normal portion size.

First visit in may. Place looks very nice. Staff seemed well mannered but wasn’t to happy. Food lets this place down. Curry tasted bland. Was expecting high from this place. Garlic chicken tikka pieces on the mix platter tasted half cooked. Don’t think I would come here again,Really disappointed.

Can’t say as we were impressed. Booked a table for 1739, wasn’t seated until 1745 with a young baby in arms. Food was not of good quality and we had high expectations. Had a very, very long wait for our food (over an hour) and service was poor. The Madras was mild to say the least and the Lamb Tikka was gristle on a plate of veg. Would not return.

Highly recommend this new Indian, I visited for my friends birthday, the restaurant put up a happy birthday banner which was a great touch and sang happy birthday and presented a complimentary cocktail....most importantly the food was superb no complaints whatsoever. The staff are all really assertive and friendly, they even engage in conversation and have banter with you which all adds to the great atmosphere. As its only walking distance from my house I'll be visiting regular!!

This is my first takeaway at this restaurant & I must say it was the best Chicken Madras that I have had locally for a long time. The chicken & pilau rice was so fresh and the madras sauce was tasty and spicy. I will definitely be trying the chefs specials next! Staff were also very friendly and welcoming & I they even gave me a complimentary bottle of bud! Great customer service 👍

The actual place itself is very nice and the service is great. The food however I wasn't impressed with, luminous garlic naan never seen anything like it. Chips were harder than Tyson Fury half expected them to jump off the plate and offer me out. Not sure would go back again

After so many referrals for this place I was very excited to go: - Parking availability isn't the best but it's not the end of the world - Welcomed happily by the staff who were fantastic throughout the night. Big shout out to "Super Mario" - Offered the party special menu, which does appear to be a good deal, however the bill at the end wasn't very clear, but we can chalk that up to experience. - The food is edible, but not the best "British Indian" I've eaten. I'd have to say below average (remember I am fussy). With a party of 10 I would have to sum up the whole experience as average food (maybe we caught them on a bad day). Price wise I would say pretty good. Fantastic service, infact it was the happy/cheeky/humours of "Super Mario" that saved the day for me. Usually I don't return to a place I don't enjoy the food, but on service alone I would be inclined to give them a 2nd chance.

Great food. Great setting. Great staff. Great atmosphere. They brought my son a free mocktail for his birthday and sang happy birthday. Can’t beat it.
