This is the fifth time we've used this Travelodge for overnight stop on way south. This time heading for Southampton to embark on a cruise. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the nearby choices of eateries is amazing. There is an excellent Iandian restaurant underneath the lodge called Bombay 8. There is also a Starbucks, a Harvester, a Tim Hortons and a gastro pub. Only being 5 mins from motorway is a bonus as no town centre traffic etc. Brilliant!

modern hotel been here since beginning of January for work . Sharon and Sue are a good laugh as are all staff . Plenty of food available with a few miles off hotel plus sum with in walking distance.

Modern Travelodge in a good location. Not as noisy as I was expecting. Plenty of eating options on your doorstep. Lots of parking - although my van did get damaged overnight. Sadly the lights were knackered in my bathroom - there's no excuse for this, it should get picked up by housekeeping.

Fabulous staff team- always very welcoming and helpful- including helping me retrieve items I have accidentally left behind in the past. Good value hotel, room basic but with high standards of cleanliness.

Really impressed with my stay here. Brian was at reception and the booking done via phone with Travelodge the cot we needed was not arranged so he sorted us out with a cot, which was broken and he got us a second one very quickly which worked fine. For a no thrills cheap stay I was very happy. Booking for a cot at all Travelodge hotels should be made way easier as hard to find a number to directly contact the hotel on.

Room was not very clean, the bedframe was full of dust and so was the floor. The bedsheets themselves and bathroom were clean at least. The hallways looked as if they hadn't been vacuumed in a while either. Ok for the price, but the cleanliness could be improved - if someone drags in bedbugs, I don't think you'd avoid them with this standard of cleaning. Door cards could be improved too, they seem to de-magnetise no matter how you store them.

Rooms are clean and large but very little in them. Can be really noisy from the motorway. Also wooden floors so can here every footstep above you. Why not put family's with young children on the ground floor? Tv is ridiculously small and needs an upgrade. Tv's are cheap now and a cost effective upgrade.

shame no USB sockets in the rooms, clean & tidy on appearance, Need to DUST top edges!! pic frames etc. shame no shelf in shower for bottles, shower was ok, more water pressure would of been great. certainly ask for carpark side rooms, thst motor way is too busy during the night.

Stayed here for 2 nights with family. Ideal size of the rooms but not a lot in there. Loads of noise from the motorway which wasn’t great but it was a good stay.

Came here for creamfields, was perfect. The receptionists were so accommodating, asked us if we were here for the festival and informed us of a taxi that was going to and from the hotel to creamfields and was only £7.50 per head. And when we came back they gave us bags to put away our mucky shoes so as not to dirty our room. The room itself is perfect if you don’t want to go camping. Obviously it’s not the most luxurious but it has everything you need and is super clean and cosy. I think the pillows could be a bit softer but I slept so well regardless. The shower already has a 2-in-1 shampoo and shower gel dispenser. There is a Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Indian restaurant, Subway and another English traditional restaurant all within less than 5min walking distance and you can order dominos, Nando’s, McDonald’s and more off just eat etc. I would definitely come here again for the convenience of the place it was perfect and just what we needed for creamfields. Thanks again to the staff for being so lovely and friendly.

Good holtel, shame they don't offer food and drink. Staff we spoke to were friendly, only gave 3 stars as we didn't really need to talk with them or require any assistance with our stay. Nice spacious room, with tea making facilities. Comfy bed, next to the motorway but this didn't affect us at all. Overall good place to stay

One of the better Travelodges. We use them because they allow pets. The rooms aren't as well sound insulated as some girls but this one was a better one. Good location. I wish they would give info about EV car chargers nearby Would use again

28th August. Arrived to find there's no water in the hotel. No showers, flushing toilets etc. Not even enough for a cuppa. Manager is aware but never had the decency or competence to go and buy a supply of bottled water for customers so they can at least make a brew. An engineer was, apparently, three hours away. Still waiting. No guarantees. Young worker on the desk doing her best. Manager (Sue) has gone home and left the kid to it. What appalling service and management. UPDATE: The manager, Sue, didn't reappear and the engineer (who had apparently been given the wrong postcode) when he did eventually arrive managed only a temporary, low-pressure fix that by morning had again failed. I'd love to know why the manager didn't do a damned thing to help the guests. She knew she had people due to arrive but did nothing. She went home and left the youngsters behind the desk to deal with complaints. Absolutely appalling.

Clean, friendly room and helpful and friendly staff. M62 traffic didn't disturb me at all but probably would have done if I'd needed to have the windows open. Rather out of the way if you don't have a car as it's either a bus ride, taxi or lengthy walk from town centre.

If you only want a relatively cheap and basic place to sleep it's fine. It has no breakfastroom or facilities except for a vending machine and breakfast box (to-go) service. The staff was good and friendly. Rooms and bathrooms where basic, but clean.

Friendly and efficient check in. A decent size car park but shared with adjacent businesses so might struggle to get space nearby. Room was clean but small even by Travelodge standards. Close to motorway so quite noisy with window open but no air conditioning. A few fast food restaurants nearby but no shops except a petrol station for overnight supplies.

All staff super friendly and helpful, the gentleman who checked us in was lovely. the Nightshift lady, Sue letting us know we had left things in the room and arranging to post them to us free of charge!! Great location. Rooms very clean. Definitely would stay again.

It was well placed for our visit to the area other than that a typical Travelodge

I have stayed here a few times now through work and the location is good for me. The hotel doesn't have a full reception and there is no restaurant/bar therefore no dinner, breakfast or drinks. There is a Harvesters and Marsdens across the road and a Indian next door so places to eat close by. The main issue I had was that if you get a room on the motorway side the noise is a nightmare and sleep, for me was very poor.

Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Not a great location in a shopping/industrial area but not noisy apart from road noise! Unfortunately no grassy parks etc nearby to walk the dog :(

Friendly staff, clean and plenty of amenities on hand. Car park can get busy due to what else is on offer. But nice stay

Put in room 2 probably get better sleep in van. It's got a single bed in it. And right next to reception so you're bed moves every time someone comes in and out the premises. I was kept up with people coming and going from the hotel. Then, the heating turns off. It was minus 2 outside, and the room had no heating.

Great affordable hotel just outside Liverpool. I only wish they had a fan in the room as it can get a bit stuffy. Bed comfy as always.

Was kept awake by an alarm someone pressed, took 35 minutes to be turned off, getting woken up early hours in the morning by someone locking themselves out the room, inexperienced staff at night, had no idea what to do, ridiculous

Travelodge is widely recognised as a "budget" hotel. Which is fair enough and fills that gap in the market. However, nowadays with the price of the rooms I dont think there is much "budget" involved when it comes to prices. Seems like you just pay similar prices to elsewhere but still get the tiny room, one pillow on the bed, tiny bathroom and no sockets next to your bed. Drop the prices.
