We were meeting friends here on Saturday afternoon. The Wolves away match at Castleford was on the big screen. Impressive makeover. Look at my other reviews and 👍

Reviewing as a B&B guest, rather than for the pub. Room was small, depressing. Toilet seat broken, shower pressure swful, mattress sub standard and it was unclean. The noise from pub punters might be to be expected, given it is a room above a pub, but would argue more soundproofing could be offered. Breakfast, served by a lovely lady, was the redeeming feature. Overall, better as a pub/function room than a B&B I would suggest.

Had our wedding reception there in june . Fantastic. Afternoon tea and evening buffet was fab . Top staff. Paul the manager was brilliant. Couldnt do enough for us from start to finish. We stayed over and had the best breakfast too .

Excellent budget b&b , seen some review about the noise being to loud from the bar , this is not the case you can hear it but only just and it's on a main rd also but traffic noise goes about same time bar closes , staff was great and friendly and breakfast was good quality, will stay again

Don't be put off by the look of the front of the place once inside it's decor is modern and has 2 function rooms with a large space outside to watch sport on an outdoor screen

We were here to celebrate a friends birthday, the room was set out beautifully. The staff were very friendly and there is a great selection of drinks.

Lovely function room at back great size. We had a football presentation night there which was ideal. Also outside enclosed area.

I was actually quite surprised at how nice this pub was. We missed our train and decided to have a pint.. and I could have stayed there for a few more!

Only visited pub, not a hotel stay Post rugby game social. Solo bar lady coped well with the influx of 40 plus family on top of normal customers. All served quickly Nearby car parking rigourously patrolled being opposite the station.

Nice city center pub 🍻 great beer garden, reasonable prices. It think it's been massively invested in recently? It has a nice modern function room and a clever awning system over the beer garden worth a look.

Great place to stay. Central Warrington. Rooms are clean and modern with all the facilities you need. Staff are super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, much better than I have had in any other hotel

Great place balancing the traditional pub with a modern event venue very well. Having been to the king's head as a drinker and event guest I can highly recommend it.

Great place, don't let the outside put you off going in. Nice bar, and fantastic function room for all occasions. Lovely and clean, warm traditional pub.
