Our room very small with no windows. More suitable for 1 person. Bed was comfortable. No breakfast has been available since before lockdown but food shown on the website. We got sandwiches and drinks from nearby newsagents. We couldn't watch TV as we had the wrong remote control. The manager was helpful and got us a taxi and he tried to find the remote control.

Where do I begin, from the get go I knew this hotel was for me, dirty and cheap. We was one of the lucky ones in the hotel who actually got bedding, there was a bit of a down side due to no shower working but that’s easily fixable as the legend known as IAN In reception said he would get the boys on to it thanks for forgetting to charge us Ian you are the good guy here and me and the boys love ya until next year stay safe and please stay open! Good location for what we needed (Neighborhood Weekender festival 2021), staff were lovely. Rooms were awful (tidy but dirty, very poor mattress, small double beds, very dated). Paid Β£100 for 2 nights room only (bargain) but things were so bad that we decided to leave the morning after the first night there and drive 3hrs home around midnight straight after the gig. I know you get what you pay for nowadays, but wow. We were moved from a room that didn't even have a bathroom door, to the 'honeymoon suite' i.e. Room 17 which, if you do happen to have your honeymoon there, I think your marriage is doomed from the offset. Such a shame because the staff were genuinely lovely. It was so bad it was actually funny to my partner and I. It generated some good memories over just how poor this place was and how, as a couple, we managed to survive the night. In summary, if you can get this place booked for extremely cheap and if the location is good for where you need then it's an option, but you need to have absolute rock-bottom expectations. I've stayed in maybe 60 hotels as an adult so far in the UK, and this is one of the few that I'll genuinely remember long-term, but sadly for all the wrong reasons.

We stayed in a room with no windows because the first room offered (#10) had a broken toilet seat, dirty coffee mugs stashed in a drawer and threadbare carpet (hardly deep clean!). We were moved to room number 51, and this had no windows! It did have a useable toilet seat. newer carpet and tea & coffee facilities, but no breathable air! This we determined was the punishment cell for those that dare to ask to be moved as the request was initially met with some resistance at reception. If we had the breakfast option at Β£10 per head the total cost of stay would have been near Β£70. You can find better for a little over that price elsewhere, so I suggest you look around!

Very poor. Its smells really bad. Now they have turned it in to an illegal immigration camp.

The hotel stinks of damp. The carpets are threadbare. Nothing felt clean. The bed was broken. Missing lightbulbs. Loads of cigarette ends and empty beer cans outside window. Staff barely acknowledged us. As my 12 year old pointed out pointed out driving into the car park it had the feel of somewhere you see in tv that drunks & junkies hang out

Fawlty towers is a palace compared to this place. Room was basic at best but door wouldn't even lock as it looked as though someone had booted it in. Then at half past midnight the manager comes knocking telling me I'm in the wrong room as he has a family of 3 wanting it and I'm on my own. Had to explain to him about covid as I had been in that room all night and he wasn't going to clean it there and then so he left.

I booked a double deluxe room for myself and my girlfriend, as facilities were advertised included in the room. But the kettle didn't work, and neither did the fan. My girlfriend had a word with the front desk, but we were told they had no spares to give us. And the advertised wi fi was in the lobby only, and not the rooms. We were told to wait until the morning for it to be taken care of. Overall we were very unhappy and unimpressed with the lack of advertised facilities, and the staff attitude towards it. We shan't be staying here again

Honestly don't know what anyone was complaining about in some of the reviews for this place. The bathrooms and beds were perfectly clean and comfy and the breakfast room was nice. Decor (e.g. carpets) a bit outdated but what do you expect for such a price! The staff were also nice enough to put the breakfast cereals, toasts and juices out early because we had to leave early for an event. We also checked in reasonably late and they didn't seem to have a problem which was really nice of them. Would stay again if in the area.

The rooms are quite small, the newly refurbished ones are very nice though. All rooms have a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. WiFi coverage isn't great in some areas. Everywhere is kept clean and tidy. All of the staff are fantastic, always cheerful and friendly. Always happy to help. I would like to say a special thank you to the manager, she was very helpful.

There is a reason the rooms are the price they are. The bed mattress has definitely seen better days, lumpy and very uncomfortable. The pillows are flat and hard. The rooms however were clean and the lady on reception on the night was helpful. Towels were nice and the bathroom was very clean too.
