Excellent stay at this Premier Inn. Very clean, really friendly staff, and a generous paid breakfast. There’s also a few eateries nearby in case you arrive late and the restaurant next door is closed. This was a great stop over after a long drive, and on the way to the airport. Would stay again, thank you!

We have stayed at this premier Inn many times, the staff are always helpful and chatty and nothing is to much trouble. They are just in the middle of an upgrade and when we stayed we were on the third floor in one of the new rooms. They are lovely rooms, it has a great shower room and spacious bedroom, we both slept really well. My only warning at the moment would be they are still working on the floors below, and start work at around 8am 7 days a week, this is going on till the end of May 2023, so if you want a lie in before then I would advise staying in a different one. But after this would stay here everytime.

Thank you for a comfortable stay whilst visiting for our child’s birthday. Huge mention to Connor who checked us in, so friendly, informative and welcoming. He went above and beyond by leaving us a lovely welcome note, Halloween colouring pages and pack of pink unicorn biscuits that our girls went wild for! Such a credit to your hotel. Thanks so much! :)

Lovely place to stay. Felt very welcome and great breakfast. Best black pudding I've ever had. Had a great time at the my chemical romance concert and didn't have too far to travel from this premier inn.

Expected better in comparison to other Premier Inns we have stayed at. We stayed 2 nights in a family room which needed a lot of modernisation and a good deep clean. Breakfast on the first morning was difficult as there was hardly nothing out on the buffet table at 9:30 so we had to keep asking for basic items. There was no coffee from the machine for 2 mornings as they didn't have any beans which was really disappointing. The location is just off a carriageway where you can't turn right so you have to do a detour before you get on your way.

I stay in a few premier inn's and this one was probably the worse. Its very dated. And the Restaurant is breakfast only, so no option of a meal deal. The lady at breakfast was lovely. There is a Toby Carvery next door so that was a bonus.

As expected for a Premier Inn really, decent value for a place to rest your head. The location was really useful for us, with good access to the M6 and M62, and plenty of options for dinner within easy walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom in our room was definitely overdue for a deep clean/refurb. Staff on front desk were friendly and efficient on check in, though we were asked for both our names (something I've never had before) and had to give our vehicle details to staff so I suspect the self service parking touchscreen on the reception desk doesn't work? We didn't opt for breakfast.

Rooms need some attention, they need USB sockets installed quick and easy, remove the fan on a stand and the standard lamp, neither needed, no cost involved, Fan in bathroom not working if it's passive ventilation it's in effective. Staff were great, breakfast is to order not self service but good and generous none the less, 30m check in 12 noon check out

Lovely clean room, v friendly and helpful staff. Slightly smaller room, but I preferred that as it had a shower instead of a bath. TV small, but I don't care about that. Spotlessly clean. Ideal.

Can't fault premier Inn, they're all the same; good quality rooms and you know what you're getting whichever hotel you visit so no change here. Breakfast was within the hotel restaurant (not from the likes of beefeater like some other premier inns)it's all you can eat and good, cooked food was nice but not the best quality ingredients , the continental breakfast was plenty to choose from and lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great parking here too. Toby carvery is just next door too if you need an evening meal.

The room was fine and the restaurant come pub was too. One downside was that they wouldn’t serve drinks past 10pm and the other was trouble with the wi-fi. They did upgrade the wi-fi for us though.

Disappointed that the fact the Toby restaurant is closed isn't shown on the website. As a public transport traveller this made life difficult, and although getting food delivered is possible, it's a bit rubbish sitting eating in the room. The shower room was weirdly cold, whilst the room only allowed the temp to go down to 19 degrees which is far too warm for me. Not worth the premium price, especially with no bath. Back to a standard room for me.

Location is a little too far from town but only 15 minutes taxi ride from train station. Good clean room. The only issue was I had to cut short my shower as the water wasn't draining. Staff were quick to greet and very helpful.

Good location great price and spotlessly clean. Stayed here two nights with my wife and dad and very impressed. Staff friendly and Toby Carvery next door for breakfast (PI in final stages of a refurb)

I stayed while working on the rugby league World Cup. I can say the staff were great especially the chef that cooked my breakfast he was well clued up about cross contamination and reassured me about my meal, I did not catch his name but he had a stutter he even left instructions with the new chef replacing him the following day.c about my allergy.. A CREDIT TO THE FIRM! Thanks

As expected, nice clean, great bed. Unfortunately the smoke sensor flashed every 18 seconds with white lights giving me brain hemorrhage vibes. Fortunately I distracted by the extractor fans in the kitchen next door at 6am. No sign of Lenny Henry.

I want to say well done to the staff here, especially Nadia and reception gentleman with glasses for being so helpful when we stayed last night. Also to kitchen staff who made a lovely breakfast. On a negative note, Premier Inn should get rid of the free phone to Abba Cars Taxi service, who just didn’t bother turning up and whose customer service was appalling. You are doing your customers no service offering this service only for them to be let down. It can reflect badly on your team at the hotel who were fantastic.

Clean, comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Has its own breakfast room and a pub next door. Excellent value for money.

Horrible stained mattress in first room, we complained and got moved to a 2nd room, hand another dirty stained mattress! We complained again and got moved to a 3rd room. Even this had a dirty stained mattress, just not as bad as the other two! Night storage heaters, old TV, wonky wall sockets and tape on the lift buttons. The building clearly needs some attention. We've used premier Inn hotels for 10 years and this is the worst condition beds we've used. I certainly won't be returning to this one ever again! People please pull back the sheets and check the mattress when you go to a hotel!!!!

This is one of the old Premier Inns. Comfy bed, good shower. Traditional reception desk with staff that smile. Tiny TV in room. Breakfast only, no evening meal or bar. Toby Carvery next door closes early, especially if they are quiet they close when they feel like it, so bear this in mind if you are arriving late. Big complaint though, like all purple palaces I've stayed at, the free WiFi is so rubbish it is unusable. Known as a bait and switch scam, you have to buy the overpriced ultimate to be able to do anything.

Stopped here for a weekend away, junction leading to the Premier Inn was slightly confusing. Perfectly located to visit Chester Zoo and Liverpool. The room was clean and had the essentials such as a kettle and TV. Stopped during the August heatwave and although the room did have a new fan placed in it (which was highly appreciated) air con would be a great investment. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was a disaster for our first holiday since lockdown. We are very large people and when I booked I was told the room had a super king bed. I never book any accommodation that does not have a super king bed. When we arrived in the room it was clearly just a double bed, which is too small for us both to fit on. We did get a walk ion shower, which is my other essential because I am disabled and cannot get into a bath, but not getting a good night's sleep completely ruined the experience. I spoke to reception but they just said all beds were the same size. We spent hours trying to find a hotel room with a super king bed for six nights, but there were none so we had to stay where we were. We took turns to sleep on the floor, which was painful and uncomfortable. It was so bad that we had to cut our holiday short and come home early. After more than two weeks home my back is still painful and not yet recovered from the damage caused by sleeping on the floor.

Lovely and clean but no main light in bedroom, only side lights for reading. No breakfast severed either but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean

Rooms were fine and as expected but very disappointed that there was nothing to advise there would be no breakfast available at point of booking. When asked about breakfast the receptionist grumpily pointed to a bit of paper that stated no breakfasts would be available until early September. A bit of politeness wouldn't have gone amiss.

Split up our journey and decided to stay here overnight, lovely friendly welcoming staff, bright and spotlessly clean room, best cooked breakfast I have had in a long time, cooked fresh and brought to the table by the friendly Chef, what a great team 👍🏻

Good sized, clean space. Very friendly staff. Couldn't have been more helpful each day. Reception staff had a fan and clean towels brought up to our room when required with no fuss and no additional charges. Fire alarm went off one night and staff reassured us what happened and how it was dealt with. Massive apologies from the staff for this issue caused by another guest. Decent sized car park. Had a great stay and would stay here again.
