Nice warm place plenty of room various seating areas, not welcomed at the door so found our own seat. Was not sure of the protocol so asked at the bar. Chose meals and state table number. Queuing was a little difficult as no one knew which queue was for which..meals or drinks 🤔 and some people got disgruntled as thinking people were pushing in. Whilst ordering our food, the member of staff took a phone call cutting us off mid sentence! (Obviously quite understaffed but the staff working were friendly and polite at all times) Informed the meals would take 1 hour to have as they were mad busy that day and when they have taken the carvery down ‽. Strange ... to take the carvery off when it's a carvary place to eat 😳?? And what we actually went for as it was a Sunday. We could see the carvery area still had plenty of food on counters ?? so again felt confusing to us to stop carvery servings . We got told by staff "Too many had already been in and they did not accommodate for more customers wanting a carvery" It was 2pm !! So with that information had to sit back down to check out the menu and reorder our different choices, joining the queues again. Drinks alittle pricey but not overly. Our meals arrived as stated 1 hr later. Photos make the dishes look nice but in actuall fact this is pub grub served on a very large plate making them feel they are serving fine dining and charging for that dining. The steak was ever so small in portion size and not cooked to the specified choice, charred too much on the outside, so tasted just burnt ..and alittle over done, no sauce/s to complement it and no options to buy some on the menu, the dish was tasteless no flavours what so ever, a very dry dish . The salmon again looked nice but the mash potatoe was watery and flavourless, they had a yoghurt sauce with cranberries, this made the mash potatoe very cold bland and really not nice to eat at all. The salmon slightly over cooked and again portion size so small that it was more suitable for a child as an adult. The spinach under the potatoe and salmon ended up being very soggy and cold. The pricing of these dishes does not warrant the quality or quality. The chicken skewer look great but on reflection it was only 4 pieces of chicken breast with some peppers and onion. Again no choice of a sauce to compliment other than the wee little pkts of vinegar brown sauce and mayo, so making this meal very dry to eat. Plenty of chips, side salad was okay but the garlic butter for the bread was not nice and so could not use it . Again for the price, these meals are quite small in quanity and not really good quality for what you are paying. Unfortunately not the first time to be very disappointed with this venue, group decision not to go back to this place for any meals ever again 😢

Lovely quiet pub, perfect for a nice drink and some lunch. Service was excellent and the food was great. Dog friendly too. Lovely atmosphere and the family, dog and I had a great time. Loads of parking and shops. Thank-you very much.

We are from Manchester and we make the trip to stone mill for so many reasons the food is excellent and the staff are so friendly Allan who’s been our waiter a few times is so nice and always goes that extra mile not just with us you can see it with everyone couldn’t rate Allan highly enough but this spreads through to the rest of the staff aswell location is prefect aswell to be sat outside in the beer garden couldn’t rate stonemill highly enough!

Very welcoming staff, table service was excellent, prices are a bit dear but was very good quality.

I had the gammon and it was very tasty and a generous serving. All the other food I saw looked good. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Lots of parking nearby which is convenient.

Excellent food, service and value. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff. Small problem but was sorted quickly and effectively. We enjoyed our visit and we will be back.

I've been here a few times when in the area for business, and it stands out as having good food, a comfortable atmosphere, and cheerful and helpful staff. Above all, I've been very happy with the meals I've had, and wouldn't miss their Simply Ice Cream dessert.

I chose 3 small plates and I wasn't disappointed, didn't think i would be able to finish them all but I did, I was stuffed our waiter was excellent great service,

Very friendly place and the food was okay. Our French waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Made good suggestions and brought a French European vibe to the place.

Visited the Stonemill Warrington last night to celebrate my daughter and granddaughter birthdays, everything was perfect, the staff really looked after us they couldn't of done anymore, pleasant, happy & well mannered, They even sang 'Happy birthday' Our server was named 'Alain' he was a pleasure to speak too. Thank you to all your lovely staff & great food, reasonably priced too. Cheers. X

Had a lovely time last weekend here celebrating my brother's birthday. Delicious food but even better staff! A young sever named Klaudia took our orders and was extremely polite and friendly. Very cozy atmosphere inside made even better by our pleasant service experience.

Clean and spacious, but we went in to an almost empty pub and a 1 hour wait on food, even for something simple like nachos. The place doesn't even sell nuts! Most staff were friendly and helpful but a waitress came over to our table, dumped a dirty napkin into our food and then asked if we we're finished with it.

Lovely meal with my family. The food was good the price good and the staff were very friendly. Will definately go again.

When placing our food order my friend was told "be quiet not you" None of the food came out at the same time, when it did arrive the food was wrong, we had to send it back to the kitchen twice, when it came back the second time there was less food on the plate. The lady who took the food back to the kitchen was apologetic but we had to repeat our order as it wasn't taken down correctly. There was a lot of staff stood around the bar area, and no one came to check if we were okay. I would say if you want good pizza go here, but beware you will be waiting a while for your food.

Nice friendly staff. No carvery yet due to covid. They do serve pizzas and a basic menu which is good.

The food was nice (Nachos and jacket potato with cheese and bacon) however the gluten free options were very very limited.

Food - great portions and really nice. Had lasagne, cauliflower cheese and kids sausages mash and beans. Service- friendly service but food was 35+ mins. Atmosphere - was a quiet Sunday at midday. Men downing pints but not rowdy.

Very nice food, called in on a Friday evening on the off chance of a table, no problem, would have preferred more choice on steaks, not keen on rump, but everyone enjoyed it.

Great food. Lovely staff. Offer a Blue light Discount for an added bonus, which is lovely of them to offer. Lots of kid focused Christmas events coming up too. Which look great. Breakfast with the Grinch will surely be a highlight.

The Carvery is lovely! Certainly better than the more well known Toby Carvery up the road. Desserts take an absolute age to arrive at the table though.

We have always had fabulous meals here but haven't been for a while so decided to return. We were told minimum 1 hour wait for food even though there must of been about 10 people in the whole place on a Sunday. When it arrived we all got different size portions for exactly the same meal. Tiny portions with not even a spoonful of gravy. It was just warm and didn't taste very nice.Was still hungry and got takeaway on way home. Never again 🤬

Went as it was on the way home. Never again. Stood at the bar and completely ignored by the bar staff only got served when prompted by another member of staff. I was on the only stood at the bar. She was not happy to be told to serve me. As she was talking to her another work colleague. The toilets are in desperate need of a clean and the sticky carpet on the entrance needs shampooing. The smell of stale cigarettes inside made us sit outside. This is definite the worst one I've been to in a while. There is not atmosphere as there are more staff than customers.

I had steak pie, very good, lots of meat although the chicken kebab my friend had looked delicious. She sed it was. Our waiter he was lovely and friendly.the bar staff were nice and smiley too. Lovely lunch xx

Have been a few times now and the food is always lovely, the kids meals are huge and you get any drink and 2 scoops of icecream. We came on the 19.07.22 for my daughter’s birthday as a party of 12, all food was hot and good sized portions, staff are lovely and the price was good, came to around £130 with drinks too. I always get the chicken and bacon salad it’s divine. Only thing I’d change is getting some crayons to go with the kids menu’s as theres little for them to do while waiting for food.

We came today(Friday)at 7 pm and we were told by older fella in glasses that they didn't cook any more because it's was too late 😂. He turned away customers by telling them no more food. I liked this pub a lot but now I'll consider if I'll go there again. It's a shame 🙁

Asked for bacon well done but think it was some sort of joke tbh, bit of a p*ss take and food was also cold.
