On
arrival
at
the
pub
you
open
the
doors
and
think,
hmm
nice
place
shame
only
a
few
people
are
in
here.
despite
this
fact
I
had
to
wait
5
minutes
to
get
served,
Not
a
great
start.
I
thought
perhaps
the
staff
were
new.
We
had
intended
to
eat
that
evening.
Having
not
been
in
this
place
before
(yet
on
several
occasions
passing
and
seeing
it
was
newly
renovated),
figured
it
would
be
worth
trying.
So,
despite
it
being
like
a
library,
and
fear
of
being
overheard
when
I
chew,
I
was
too
hungry
to
try
elsewhere.
My
luck
got
worse....
the
service
just
to
order
the
food
took
an
eternity,
When
the
food
did
arrive
it
was
not
only
cold,
but
looked
like
something
a
child
had
put
together.
It
is
very
expensive
compared
to
other
quality
eateries
in
Croft,
so
I
expected
this
to
serve
top
quality
produce,
crafted
by
a
skilled
chef.
Sadly
every
one
of
the
dishes
looked
uncooked,
cold
or
amateurish.
Not
at
all
anywhere
near
the
standard
you
would
expect
for
£27
average
a
plate.
I
hardly
ever
complain,
but
I
had
to
say
something
on
this
occasion.
At
this
point
the
owner
of
the
pub
walked
in
and
the
waitress
asked
him
to
speak
to
our
table.
We
made
it
clear
the
food
wasn't
good
....the
outcome.....
Totally
arrogant
man
and
unwilling
to
offer
any
kind
of
recompense.
Not
even
an
apology.
Just
made
out
he
was
too
busy.
Nobody
at
any
point
had
a
clue
about
hospitality
in
this
place.
It
is
a
shame
as
the
building
is
lovely,
but
it
is
clearly
run
with
someone
who
has
absolutely
zero
people
skills,
and
clearly
no
idea
how
to
run
a
pub
restaurant.
Even
Basil
Fawlty
would
do
a
better
job.
