The food here is SO GOOD. I love the chowder house, but for a sit down meal the restaurant is DIVINE. The staff is friendly and the food is phenomenal. The lobster in a bread bowl is my favorite. And I absolutely love their homemade chips! Definitely a go to for seafood.

I truly wish I could give it a 5 start rating. However in fact I'd rate it 3.5 tops if it was possible. The location is awesome, the atmosphere is amazing, the views are great, the staff is really attentive. Good selection of beer, wine and cocktails. But the food is just subpar. We so much looked forward to trying their versions of the true staples of the New England cuisine. We took the chowder sampler, and out of 4 options only lobster bisque was actually good. The classic "white" chowder as they called it, was basically the same that you can buy at Dave's. The red and clear chowders were veggie soups without a hint of clams. Clam cakes that come with it were decent. The most disappointing part was their hot lobster roll. The best part of it was the bun! The meat was chewy and tasted old. They skipped celery and mayo too, which could've helped to add some spark. But it is definitely not worth $30. We also had 2 oysters as appetizers and mine was kind of crunchy and cold, as if it was frozen before. Could it be that it sat for too long on the ice? I'm not sure.

Came here after a nice day out on the boat after seeing it multiple times in my visits to the area. Dinner and drinks were great, I thought the meals were very flavorful. However, the appetizers we got left something to be desired. The appetizers tasted very dry and different than what I was used to, especially the clams casino. The meal prices also seemed really exorbitant for the amount of seafood you received. While it was super tasty, I expected a bit more meat for the price of the dish. All in all, id visit again if I were in the area, but I might check out their walk up restaurant instead.

In short, there’s nothing about this place that’s horrible but there’s also nothing that’s very impressive. A very standard place and a confident 3 stars. We had one member of our party who showed up 15 minutes early and asked to put our names in, but the hostess said she was not allowed to put a name in unless the whole party was present. When we arrived she said we would have to wait 15 minutes for them to clear a table and get it ready… really seems like it would have been easier for everybody involved if they could have just listened to the first member of my party when he told them we were coming but whatever, probably a stupid policy by the owners and not the hostess’ fault. Once we were actually seated the service was good and our waitress was very polite and fairly on top of things. The food is overpriced in my opinion. Most of the main seafood entrees are around $40 with some in the high 20’s and things like fish & chips for $22. Portions are fine but there’s just nothing about the food that’s mind blowing and warrants the higher than average price tag. That being said there was nothing wrong with it either, all tasted fine and the seafood seemed fresh. Chowder and clam cakes are exactly the same as the normal Iggy’s and came out nice and hot. They also have a pretty good bar which I included a photo of and a REALLY nice outdoor area with an additional bar that you can sit at when the weather permits. Overall, if you’re in the mood for seafood in the area and have the money this is a perfectly fine choice and you won’t leave hungry. A little better service, little better food, little lower price and it would be a 4 or 5 star.

Fish and chips were amazing here. First time ever having clam cakes and clam chowder and it did not disappoint. Place your order pickup on GrubHub to avoid the line. Fish fillet is huge (hand for scale in photo). I love their coleslaw, and of course the food came out fast and fresh. Friendly service. We were only in RI for 5 days but it was worth it to come here twice. Once carry out to have at home- cat approved! And once sitting by the beach. Watch out for seagulls. 10/10 recommend

One of the best restaurants in the state! I’m always happy here, no matter what I get! The lobster roll is so good! Great cocktails and the friendliest staff too!

Fantastic food and service everytime we go. By far my favorite restaurant of all time. It is an hour drive for us to go but is worth it every time! Bathrooms are hospital clean, food is cooked perfectly, and the staff is simply amazing. Tina is a phenomenal waitress and made our experience very enjoyable.
