A great place to eat and drink. The staff are very friendly. The food is plentiful and the price is good.

Took my dad to hungry horse with my husband. Flys are everywhere! It is absolutely disgusting! We killed 3 then another 5 turned up! Landing in our food it was horrible. My dad ordered a 12oz rump steak and it was just full of grizzlie and it was really really tough on the outside. We complained and they gave him another steak. The 1st one took about 5 minutes to come out and the 2nd came about 15 minutes. I can only think that hungry horse pre-cook the steaks when they’re not busy and then reheat and serve when needed be a the difference between the first one and second one was completely different. I only assume this as i have been a chef previously and I know the tricks on what restaurants Dust and dirty lampshades/windows. It was really quiet for a Saturday lunchtime and now I know why! Overall with the experience we had I would definitely not come here again. It’s a shame because about a year ago it was perfect. It’s gone downhill massively. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!

We always enjoy our experience when we visit the Royal Horse whether it be for a fantastic breakfast with family or mates, a great value meal as a family or couple or a few decent priced drinks in the evening. It is a very welcoming venue and we frequently enjoy a bit of banter with Lisa who runs the pub. She hires very friendly staff who are slick at what they do. The constantly changing menu is vast and has something for everyone to enjoy. The food arrives very quickly which suits our teenagers and is to very good quality. It is difficult to justify cooking meals at home now, when as a couple we can go for one of the midweek deals and eat cheaper at the RH. Many thanks Lisa and team for looking after us, we will continue to be loyal customers!

Ordered from my table for the family, great service, good prices and great food, there was even a kids DJ outside in the play area.

Been coming for years and never had a problem but turned up today and the was loads flys everywhere. It was disgusting and putting everyone off eating.. and another table next to us was saying they kept moving tables too but due to the been so many the was no point as they was just everywhere. I understand the windows was open down to it been a hot day but put some fly screens up or something.. it wasn’t just the odd one or two the was loads!! Not the nicest when people trying to eat.

Staff were great really busy 3 birthdays going on plus fly issue from a recycling place nearby so manager kept all doors and windows closed as complaints! The poor team looked boiling yet still smiling and great service! Thankyou

I recently visited The Royal Horse in Leamington Spa, and overall, I had a very positive experience. The atmosphere of the place was cozy and welcoming, with dim lighting and a comfortable seating arrangement. The decor was stylish and modern, with tasteful accents that added to the overall ambiance. The service at The Royal Horse was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. My server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations when I was deciding what to order. The food and drinks were also exceptional. I tried several items from the menu, including the steak and the salmon, and both dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The drink selection was also impressive, with a variety of cocktails and wines to choose from. In terms of value for money, I felt that The Royal Horse was reasonably priced given the quality of the experience. While it wasn't the cheapest place to eat in the area, I felt that the excellent service and high-quality food justified the price. Overall, I would highly recommend The Royal Horse to anyone looking for a cozy and stylish restaurant with excellent service and delicious food.

Massive portions and lovely food, unfortunately did not have room for dessert!!!

We booked for father's Day..on booking we had to pay a deposit so I assumed there was a special menu. On arrival we were seated promptly but only the normal menu out. Went to look online to find items missing from the menu which isn't great as it's father's day so you'd think more would be ordered. Also the waffles which were missing this time were missing last time I was there too. The place was covered in flies and as we were sat by a window trying to eat and swat the flies away we asked to move (the staff member who moved us was so apologetic and moved us but said it probably wouldn't make much difference.) We moved and had the same issue.. none of us finished our food as we just got sick of trying to eat without letting the flies touch our food. I used to love it here as it used to have such a lovely feel to it and it was cheap to go to as a family and the food used to be good.

Excellent pub and friendly staff even though they were fully booked and they still managed to squeeze us in for my birthday meal. The food was excellent and quick. The place was clean and tidy. The only thing I would say is all the menus on our two tables were covered in food stains. I would highly recommend this place and they have a good park for the kids to play in.

Went in to grab an early lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the gluten free menu which had a good selection on there which were also included in the deals. The down side is they are not as accommodating for vegans or other dietary restrictions/ requirements. There was no alternative milk options for a hot drink, hence the slushy and the one sad looking chicken Newyorker. It's a shame as it could easily have some vegan chesse. That aside I still enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere and staff were very pleasant and the food was actually pretty good and especially for the price which was a bargin. The chicken was tender, potato was fluffy and not dry and the salad was delicious. (We did go early before the lunch rush) The lunch offer will be a nice meal out still when money is a little tighter on the run up to Xmas. Went back at lunch to try the salmon and wasn't very impressed with the food, it was all quite dry and ended up being pretty expensive (definitely for what it was) when not getting an offer.

A friend and I went there for lunch and were impressed buy the friendly manner of the staff and how helpful they were. Couldn't manage to finish the dessert and they kindly packaged it up to go. Wonderful time and we will be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful visit x

We enjoyed a very good meal last night. We like this place and know the food can be hit or miss depending on the chef at the time. Yesterday was a hit for sure. My mixed grill was perfectly cooked. All the meat was tender and not dried out at all by overcooking. My husband's steak was medium cooked just as he asked for. The beef dripping sauce was very tasty and complimented the steak.

Food was amazing like every time. Staff friendly like always
