Was a delicious option, one friend recommended me this place, and I enjoyed every bite full of flavor and memorable taste. I order a Cuban espresso too, was the best Cuban espresso that I ever try in Washington DC. If you want a good food and a place for memorable bites, go to Cuban espresso

I couldn't ask for better cuban sandwich in the DMV, driving all the way from west Maryland, we found this spot after googled it, restaurant near the embassy I was going to. Excellent atmosphere and customer service. Something I noticed few customers asked for steak and cheese, that will be my next order on my future visits.

Cuban Espresso is a fairly understated Cuban-American restaurant that just opened. Based on the location and interior, I assume it will be more of a takeout/delivery place, however they had a packed counter several tables full when I came in. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, a coke, and asked what coffee options they had and was steered towards a cortadito. The sandwich was great. Very filling and a good profile, although the pork was more subtle than other cubanos I have enjoyed. I ordered the cortadito sweet and still found it less sweet than expected, but it was by no means bad. All of this was with two people on staff. I would honestly give it 4/5 stars at its current state, but I am confident this will be worth repeat visits once they have settled in. I'm especially excited to try the breakfast in the future, as I looked at a customer holding a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant with envy. I also want to try the burgers and the various appetizers, including the tostones.

This is a great addition to Columbia heights! Cool coffee bar with authentic Cuban espresso. Will definitely be back to try the breakfast.

I've always been curious about this spot, tucked away so unassumingly on 14th. Long have I been searching for a good burger in walking distance. Long have I searched in vain. Until the day my curiosity was rewarded in absolute spades -- the food here is phenomenal! For burgers, I'm talking juicy, flavorful meat on soft bread, with crispy bacon, just the right amount of sauce, and fresh toppings. Makes my bank account weep. But they've got a little bit for everybody (and they update the menu regularly to make sure of it)! My veggie housemates are just as excited by this neighborhood spot. They even have coffee and breakfast options on the menu. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and fast on the turnaround time. I have quickly gone from making my own lunch to making sure I've got money saved for my weekly visit. (Or more. Don't ask, don't tell.) Definitely stop by if you've got your lunch hour in the area!

Decided to randomly stop by the restaurant and very happy we did! Had the steak and cheese sandwich and the seasoned fries which I highly recommend! Great place and food!

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. Simple, super affordable, and delicious. Staff is incredibly friendly. Cant beat getting an incredibly fresh smoothie and a breakfast burrito for $15. I’ll be a regular here!

We came here for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Best bacon burrito I ever had. Staff was so welcoming and nice. Coffee even had coffee ice cubes so it didn't get watered down. We will be coming back!

Enjoyed an early dinner of the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and seasoned fries. I highly recommend due to the flavor of the food and friendly and professional service of the employees. They also offer Cuban coffee. It is also in a convenient location by the bus line and great for takeout.

Asked for a Cuban steak sandwich becasue I don’t eat pork and was given a Cuban with steak and pork. They swore up and down that it was beef. Had to throw the entire sandwich in the trash. Total waste of money!

The Cuban sandwich was all right, but it was dry and had a bunch of herbs in the chopped pork that didn't taste anything like a Cuban sandwich. The espresso took forever and came in a giant cup, not a demitasse. The neighborhood has two excellent Cuban options, Mi Cuba and Colada Shop. Those are way better bets.

Definitely not going back, I ask for a sausage egg and cheese, they don't have a variety of cheese, very simply and small sandwich with no taste and for that amount of money there are better options like call your mother.
