This location on 12th St NE is in the middle of the block next to a small parking lot. It is a few blocks away from Catholic University and the National Shrine. Parking is the main challenge unless you are lucky enough to find street parking. You enter into a narrow foyer with a staffer waiting to greet and seat you. The bar is straight ahead and to the right seating for happy hour. To the left seating is for small groups and families. This section is quieter, more intimate and offers booth and table options. The overall menu options are a little pricey in comparison to the competition, but service was quick, portions were large and the food was good. Our server was very friendly and made great recommendations. The salsa and the buffalo wings are spicy so beware if that's not your thing. This location is smaller than the one at the Shops at Crystal City. The atmosphere is very lively and loud in the happy hour section. It appears to cater to a younger crowd. But worth of a second visit probably during the day when it's more quiet. This location has become a favorite of locals, students and businesses.

Was there last night celebrating ๐Ÿฅณ a birthday. We're 1st timers and it won't be my last. The atmosphere is what you'd expect for a Mexican restaurant, The drinks (Margaritas) were EVERYTHANG & Happy Hour goes until 8pm(How awesome is that ๐Ÿ˜). The service was great and the food was delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹. And It's conveniently located near me. The best part was, because it was a large party, The server was kind enough to let us split the check(More tips for him ๐Ÿ’ฐ). Overall everybody left satisfied. I will be back Margaritas... Don't worry ๐Ÿ’ฏโ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿน

This is definitely a great atmosphere for girls night or even Mommy and Daughter dates, which was the reason for this visit. Definitely in love with the Happy Hour. Large Margaritas with multiple flavors. The food all around is goodโ€ฆ hefty wings, tasty burgers, crunchy fresh chips, great FRIES, ETC. They have seating for large parties and outdoors. Perfect for a date night or just casual lunch with friends.

This place has great food with great presentation. For the atmosphere and the food quality it seems rather reasonable a price. Their fajitas are amazing. There is a small outdoor patio when available.

Went on Cinco de Mayo. It was okay until I saw they charged $17.50 for one shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the "shot" wasn't in a typical shot glass, but instead in a child size cough medicine plastic cup. Literally!!! $17.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My tacos were actually good. But still $17.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They would've gotten five stars but it's the $17.50 for me๐Ÿ‘€

I absolutely love this place. I started out with the Gambas & Chile Con Queso. I forgot to take a picture because I was too busy socializing and sipping on my Jumbo Mango Margarita. I must say this place is very inexpensive and the atmosphere is always great. My favorite location is in Crystal City because the chips are always fresh. However, the Lobster Fajita seen in the picture was Awesome and it comes out on a sizzling hot skillet. I loved this and I ordered a side of grilled veggies on the side squash, zucchini bell peppers and carrots. Highly recommend 10/10. The bartenders are great at all 3 locations.

I ordered Chicken tacos. We received microwaved tortillas with school seasoned chicken. I thought it was an authentic Mexican restaurant and I was hoping for a taste from home. But it feels like the food was colonized and assimilated.

Yesterday, I came in and ordered a chicken chimichanga w/ diced chicken instead of shredded. I got home and cut the burrito open and realized......THEY GAVE ME STEAK, and I don't eat beef. If I bit into it without opening the burrito I would have sued this establishment. I had to open the burrito TAKE THE STEAK OUT and cook my own chicken to put in it. lol. Such a big let down. A WASTE OF MONEY. THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR ORDER.

The service and attention was top notch! This level of service and attention, in my opinion, is NOT normal in the District (D.C.), so my wife and I REALLY appreciate this. Because of this, I will def return to this restaurant. Also, my margarita was very good! On the flip side, my steak tacos would probably be rated under 2 or 3-stars. I am Mexican, and to be quite honest, I am not expecting "tacos de suadero estilo D.F." as this is a Tex-Mex place, but the tacos here were presented in way that lacked any foundational, culinary knowledge of how tacos are made. Next time, I'll order something other than tacos. I guess Tex-Mex restaurants in general also offer hard-shell (Taco Bell style) tacos...

I ended up coming here because I was waiting 2 hours for my food from a nearby spot. The drinks and service were great! I ordered the quesadillas and they were good too. I will definitely be back here for a fajita.

Always great food and drinks! Love the frozen margaritas as well as the burger. The fajitas are cooked well and lots of spice!

As a Texpat, this is one of my go-to neighborhood restaurants. It is mildly family-friendly: I donโ€™t feel judged if my kids act up a little. There are booths, high chairs, and kid cups but no kid menus. The margarita is big, consistent, and easy to drink. One of us always orders the best item on the menu: asado puertoriqueno (skirt steak with plantains and salad). Both the salsa and guacamole are too spicy to enjoy.

This place rocks. Fast service, generous portions and most importantly delicious food. Somewhat walkable from Catholic University, but thereโ€™s usually parking available nearby.

I chaperoned a group of students from a nearby school to San Antonio Grill yesterday. The staff at the restaurant were very accommodating to our students needs. The restaurant accommodated a student in a wheelchair. There were no stairs to enter and the restaurant was spacious enough for him to maneuver to a seat/space alongside his peers. The service was accurate and fast for our large group. Our server, Samuel, was extremely patient and kind. The students enjoyed chips, salsa, chicken tenders, quesadillas, burritos, burgers, fruit and fries. The staff enjoyed a variety of entrees and desserts as well. The students loved the food and had a wonderful experience overall. I would highly recommend San Antonio Grill to others and we definitely plan to return next school year!

I order the regular HARD shell tacos with shredded chicken disgusting the rice it came with had no flavor I told the waiter I want hard shells he gave me soft and what type of restaurant donโ€™t have sweet tea ๐ŸคจI mean like come on yโ€™all sweet tea he gave me sugar packs Mhum sugar packs ghetto oh and not to mention all the ingredients in the taco was falling apart and it was soggy never again also the decor horrible very old rusty building if you looking for a good Mexican place to hit up do not go here, this is a fake bootleg restaurant and they only had one server who acted like he was deaf this place needs to be closed down.the only thing that was good was the chips they was hot and fresh thatโ€™s about it.

Love that it's named after St. Anthony, it's the perfect place to go when you feel lost and in need of a good margarita. I've worked at St. Anthony's School up the street for almost 10 years and this place has been home to our happy hours for decades.

Now I have been eating here for a while I pick up food here sometimes and I have never ever had any issues but today I ordered first thing in the morning on door dash two trays of fish tacos a chicken fajita meal and apple in a basket (dessert) which came up to $80 and I found a baby roach at the bottom of my desert which was covered in apples (by the way) and made me sick to my stomach knowing the fact that this came from the kitchen means it is unsanitary and more then likely more roaches running around. So disappointed! Do better
