I had nothing short of an unpleasant experience here… As others have mentioned, the rude and dismissive staff are in no rush to offer assistance. I had an appointment to pick up items, arrived on time, and still waited about 20 minutes to receive my order. Before that, I had to wander around the store trying to find someone willing to help me. The most comical part-- when a staff member finally came by with my items, he carelessly tossed the bag down on the table and $500 worth of apple keyboards rattled out onto the counter. Lol! Way to show how much you care. The location is convenient though.

The worst service I have experienced in any worldwide Apple Store. All staff members were busy and juggling us amongst each other for a simple AirPods try out with quite unbothered attitude. When expressing genuine customer complaint about previously purchased iPhone cases and their poor quality, the response we got from one of the staff members was “well, I am not making them, am I?!” - how is this professional and considerate towards your loyal customers?

The manager passive aggressively refused to help. Interesting, while making a purchase, it was got done in 30 seconds but when it comes to solving a problem, no one offered any proper solution. I hope Apple stores will start appreciating their customers more

Been going to this store for years, and the quality of service has dropped so significantly. Genius Bar acts like they are being inconvenienced when dealing with customers, wasting peoples time while having personal conversations, and frankly making no effort to resolve issues. Two separate issues over the past year and have had the same experience. They used to be helpful, accommodating, and all around a pleasant experience. Not anymore, expect curt responses, lack of attention, unwillingness to resolve. Thumbs down!

Booked an appointment yesterday 12/28/21 which never got confirmed by email, most probably cause the employee never clicked the button. Impossible to enter the store after that, no way to see a manager, and no way to even communicate with an employee inside. This is scandalous knowing I organized my day to free myself for my 6:00 PM appointment.

Got into the store willing to buy a watch band. I already knew the color and size. They expected us to wait for 30 minutes or so in order to just buy the watch band. The blond guy with glasses at the front door was not service minded at all.

Very bad experience. The associates very reluctant and not taking care of customers. Of course there are great ones as well who respect customers but this was my experience with two of associates there. I asked for a case for my iPhone, while standing there those two didn’t mention anything about working on my request. A kind associate wanted to help me since I was confused, then those two told me that they already ordered the case. Again, when the case arrived and I wanted to change the color they very unprofessionally reacted with face gesture and referred me to the colors on the wall to try them on my phone!

GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR REPAIRS!!!! I went in for my mac book pro battery placement (late 2013 retina) and they absolutely destroyed my motherboard making my speakers useless. I looked inside and was amazed. This was definitely on purpose since a wild animal could do better.

Very unprofessional staff, specifically the buzzed cut african-american girl working there (she was wearing a ton of rings and necklaces) - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. She was clearly having a bad day and displaced her anger on me and asked me "Are you ok," in a rude tone as if she wanted to beat me up right there and then. This threatening behavior is unacceptable and I would be surprised if this was the first time she has pulled this behavior. If you are on the job, act like it. Felt way too threatened after that to complete what I planned to go there for.

I came in since my phone screen stopped working even though I could hear notifications and feel vibrations. In addition, my Face ID stopped working at the same time. When I returned to pick up my phone, they addressed the screen issue, however did not tell me until after that the Face ID feature was not fixed and would be an extra fee. The whole experience felt like I was being price gauged, and had I known it would cost so much going in, I just would've bought a new phone. Also a weird coincidence that my warranty ended two months before this issue having never experienced an issue when my warranty was active. I understand that Apple products are expensive, but being expected to pay almost $400 as a student for a seemingly standard fix is ridiculous.

This store is very disorganized with the added annoyance of customers being repeatedly handed over to several different techs/Apple staff. Additionally, multiple apple staff members were just standing around talking to one another vs. asking me if I needed help. On a positive note, the tech member I was eventually assigned to today was very good and thorough and kept her cool while helping me for about 3 hours (5 stars for her). The rest of my experience was severely lacking and considering the cost of Apple products, this is unacceptable to the point where I may not be purchasing any more Apple products in the future. Also, not having a bathroom available for customers is absolute BS! I’m certain I was lied to when I was told no bathroom was available due to construction and I was in this store for 4 hours due to technical issues with my iphone and watch. I won’t be purchasing any more Apple products if this is how Apple treats its customers! I spent over $1,000 just to be treated like garbage. And regardless of how much one spends, NO ONE should ever be treated like this!

One of the rudest apple stores I know of. I am a huge fan of Apple, and I have always thought that they have really great customer service. Most Apple stores I visit today have great people and the Genius Bar staff are very friendly. However, my last two visits to the store left such a bad taste in my mouth

We came to the store two days ago. A person at the front signed us up to the queue so we could find out if they have iPhone 15 max pro. She wouldn’t look up for us to see if they have it in store and said the wait time is 10 minutes. We waited for 35 minutes!!! In the meantime new customers would come in and just go directly to salespeople without the queue / ahead of us and get served. The person in charge of putting people in the queue couldn’t get anyone to pay attention to us even when she tried - seemed to be a lower level employee so they all shrugged her off and picked clients of their choosing. Anyways 40 minutes later we found out they have no phones in stock but others stores do. Horrible service! Will go to other Apple stores going forward. DONT SIGN UP FOR A QUEUE - GO STRAIGHT IN AND ASK FOR HELP FROM A SALESPERSON, the queue system doesn’t work - will save you time!

I didn't miss a bit to pick up my iPhone. Mike was very friendly and we had a chance to hang out for a minute. All store employees were wearing purple accessories and it was matching with new iPhone color. There was also douche bag in front of me was trying to 'pick up' watch he ordered for 'delivery' lol

I bought an Apple Watch 7, they sell as a supposedly very resistant watch, after a week a scratch appeared, I never dropped the watch. I booked an appointed to have this fixed, the watch has apple care plus, so I thought it would be fixed, as apple care plus claims: “AppleCare+ gives you technical support, hardware protection including accidental damage, as often as you need”. BIG FAT LIE, a watch with a few weeks of usage, with a scratch, in a supposedly bulky watch, cannot be repaired. Even tho AppleCare+ claims it can repair accidental damage. So what does it actually cover?? The service at the store couldn’t be worst. They claim they want to have faithful clients, but with this kind of service, impossible. I never felt so disrespected in a store in my life. I use iPhones since iPhone 3GS, im honestly considering switching to an android, with a better support. Also, they offered me a repair for 299 USD, the price of a new watch! What a joke! What a terrible service, you couldn’t have less charismatic employees!!

Was told they couldn't repair my device the first time. Bought a replacement. Second time my phone blew up (probably since it was refurbished by them), they didn't take responsibility so they urged me to buy a replacement. Went for a cracked back panel, said they couldn't fix. Urged me to buy a replacement. Left the store and Asurion fixed it for 130 in a few hours. Stop treating the people who give you your paychecks like cattle.

I worked with Heidy trouble shooting 2 different Mac problems - she was fast - efficient and personable - was able to resolve the issues I came in to address - High recommend . I have had nothing but great experiences with all the employees at this location and have been probably 8-10 time sin the past year. Although make sure you make an appointment as this is a very busy store!

I unfortunately do not remember the name of the guy that helped me, but he was 10/10. Their team was patient overall, but one gentleman in particular was kind and patient and stuck with me for hours figuring out what was going on with my laptop, even after the store was technically closed and many of the other employees left to go meet up. After he solved my issue, he then let me stay for a little to charge my laptop. His help saved me not only a lot of money, but from running into serious issues at work from not being able to use my laptop for several days. I hope the team at this Georgetown Mac store knows who this guy is and does something nice for him!!

I made an appointment for the Genius Bar and was seen immediately upon arrival. The specialist I worked with (Gunner) was super friendly and efficient, and he had a resolution for my problem within a few minutes.

Sadly this store lacks any customer service. I've visited this store several times and every time, the staff has been great at ignoring me or making me feel as if I'm interrupting their lack of work. In one particular instance, one of the store's staff told me that he could multitask while servicing me. He thought talking to me and another customer that interrupted our conversation, while texting or checking his phone was productive multitasking.

My personal experiece at this store was awesome. I mean I love the concept of “the counter coming to you” (instead of you going to the counter), but most of all I liked the very nice, very civic, very polite and professional approach and handling of my needs by the staff. And I stayed at the store for a good 45 minutes, and saw three different employees (not just one good employee) whose professionalism (product knowledge and concrete handling of some replacement and a trade-in of two different products I had, as well as the new product purchase handling and my data transfer and all) made it fund to watch, fun to talk to, fund to live as an experience (great expectation of further fun later with the new iphone notwithstanding). Sone people are so spoiled and quick to complain. I can suggest they go to European, or Arabic, or Asian Apple stores in those other continents where despite Apple’s efforts, the staff is the locla staff and cannot be compared with the American Apole stores staff wherever they are. It’s a matter of culture, no matter the kindness and knowledge that you see in almost every store. Something is off in those cultures (I mean even in Amsterdam). London is the only exception (I guess it is like that across the UK). Guess why? Well, the same respectul culture, kindness, humility and sincerity (different from the kindness of an Eastern European, French, Arab, Asian, etc. employee who swallows the grudge of serving too many requests by a customer). On the other hand, an Apple store is there to sell products and serve the needs of all customers, be they actual or perspective. The store is not there to do a bank’s job and suspect and stop payments made with a stolen credit card that go through the bank’s system of payments and the bank’s alert system for multiple subsequent purchases within a short time period. So stop whining and take it out in the bank you do your banking with, not the Apple store. I am from Chicago and have traveled extensively, meaning I have bern in many Apple stores the world over. I own Apple products since 10 years ago. No Apple store like in the US and UK. Georgetown Apple Store is a top notch store.

I used to like this store, but not any longer. Went by to purchase a case for my new phone that was mailed to me today. I was told that I couldn’t shop because, “the people picking up orders are priority.” So yes, I spent $1000 on a new phone and was then told I couldn’t buy a case for it because the other customers are priority. No worries though, because I “can try a different store”. Ridiculous policy and disgusting customer service.

I went to claim warrantee for my EarPods which stoped working after 3 months - would be such a simple thing. The store was quasi empty, more staff than customers. But I was told to do an appointment, come back 2 hours later. I just dared to ask why when the Apple guy immediately became very rude, sent me off, ignored me. Don’t buy here they don’t deserve it

Drove there an hour last week and they were shut down for some dumb reason. Construction or something. So today I told a lady they were shut down. I happen to drive past it and they're open. So I screwed up that woman's day. Make up your mind if you're going to stay open or not!!!!!

Went store to seek help to get a fix for our daughter's Mac Air computer as the space bar was not working. The genius bar employee, chastise our daughter for not updating her computer regularly. Then gave us a quote of $500 to send the computer out for repair, without trying anything in store to fix laptop. We left the store. Took the lap top to a Mac repaid store and for $99 we now have a working lap top with a new keyboard.

I came to pickup my laptop, it was not put back together so I can no longer use it at all. I also came for an iPhone appointment for a software crash. They refused to repair my phone because they “thought” it had water damage. However, all cameras work.

I went there 3 times to get the new iPhone 15 pro as they never had it in stock. Most people waited inside and showed frustration due to long waiting times. Customer service from the sellers is the worst. I came in to spend an embarrassing amount of time and money and they wouldn’t make me feel very welcome.

I bought two care+ plans for two phones. The lady in the store assigned two plans to the same one phone and forgot the other phone. I didn't do much else on that trip, only actions were: pick up two new phones and buy 2 plans. Yet giving plenty of time. She did it very wrong and it is still not resolved now.

Had a highly positive experience at this Apple store - I had a major issue with my phone while traveling to DC for work and went to the Apple store without an appointment. They squeezed me in for a Genius Bar appointment with minimal waiting and Stanley The Genius spent over two hours with me running diagnostics, speaking with my cell phone carrier company, etc. He was AMAZING. The staff went above and beyond to help me and I'm incredibly grateful. Exceptional!!

For a tech company outlet, poor security features on payment fraud. Someone used my credit card at this outlet and made multiple transaction within a span of 20 mins totalling >$10k using contactless card taps and no one at the store suspected. This has happened with 2 other people I know who’s stolen cards were used at this outlet. Store management wasn’t particularly helpful.

At the moment Apple wants you to order their products online and only go to the store for pickup. I got there an hour before my reservation time and asked if I could get my product. They were gracious, did it and I was out in ten minutes. It was so enjoyable I almost splurged on an Apple Pencil. Apple is very particular about the buying experience and it shows in the professionalism of the staff.

  • 1/5 j P. 9 months ago on Google
Terrible technology support and terrible design for sustainability. This is not the fault of the staff, but rather the company itself. I’ve been turned away multiple times when attempting to buy a replacement AirPod, and the diagnostic test took 45 minutes. When I didn’t buy the replacement on the day of, I came back later and they required me to re-run diagnostics. Alas, Apple owns the market and will only continue to destroy more businesses.

I’ve always received great service at the Apple store esp the one at Clarendon and Tyson’s Mall and I was just disappointed with the service at the Georgetown location. No one greeted us when we walked in. When I found someone up front and told them I had a 6:30pm appointment they directed me to the back without checking their tablet or asking what it was for. After taking a while to locate my appointment, she then directed us to the front. ( at the other store, they would greet me by name and direct me to the right staff to assist) My friend asked if there was a restroom and he directed her to Wawa across the street. The overall energy of the staff there was low… like they did not want to be there.

I was told I'd have to wait 45 minutes to buy an iphone. I was going to pay $1,300 for a phone and I was going to have to wait 45 minutes to do so. Let that sink in. As I was about to buy it online, the 45 minute wait turn to zero and I was able to buy my phone. Hooray

Went on a Monday at 1:30pm. Honestly I thought parking would be easier because it's Monday but let's be honest ... probably not because it's Georgetown. Soooo i drove around about 15 mins and then I saw a parking right in front of the Wawa which is in front of apple . Was kinda scared to park because no signs to pay or say how long you can but thankfully I was fine and there was another car parked there also. Went in : Went in and took about 5 mins to be greeted and asked what I need. Short white lady. Had a braid in. Bad teeth. Rude and short. Told her I was there to purchase a watch. She directed me to the watch table but couldn't sign me in for the line or tell me how long it be. Walked to the table and TRE I believe was his name. Very friendly and helpful. Quickly helped me. I was in and out about 20 mins I believe. I would go again but the lady that greeted it's a No. thank you TRE for your quick and helpful help.

Do not purchase an Iphone from this store. The sales staff is poorly trained at best, incompetent at worst. I bought an Iphone here and the sales staff failed to warn me that none of the music on my old Iphone would transfer to the new Iphone (even though the old Iphone had music transferred to it from a previous Iphone). As a result, I lost several hundred dollars worth of music--some bought from Apple, much from CDS-- and they offered no way for me to recover it.
