Absolutely love East Gate Luncheonette! It’s been in business for many years! I was first introduced to East Gate when I was pregnant with my 1st child and he’s now 31 and we still have breakfast there together frequently. Great food, super friendly owners that always go out of their way to acknowledge us and to say hello. The best breakfast sandwiches in town! Highly recommend this gem of a diner!

Great coffee!!! Service was friendly and fast the food is outstanding good and the portions are fair the only disappointment is that they don't have waffle on the menu 😒 definitely i will come back

Tried East Gate Luncheonette in Waterbury for breakfast. Don't let the junky parking lot fool you, it's pretty nice inside. Service was fast and friendly. Coffee was hot, food items were a bit cold. Good prices and standard breakfast fare. Pancakes were really big and tasted great. Definitely worth a visit.

familiar, cheap and more than that excellent service, this time my experience was very pleasant since the breakfast and the service was excellent, we loved the hot chocolate a lot, and the French toast was perfect. the restaurant is a bit small but it tastes good,The only thing I didn't like was the cachu container, be careful when you use it, it comes out a lot. lol

Damn good BLT, + fiance& I LUV their Bacon egg & cheese on a hard roll! always a favorite Saturday mornings 4 us! Super quick (as we walk in and order to-go) Staff always upbeat and nice!

First time here in at least 8 yrs. The food is still as amazing as it was 20 yrs ago. This is a must go to every time I'm in Waterbury since I grew up here. If you like the diner atmosphere and are looking for good quick food I highly recommend! I'd give extra stars if the ability existed. Right off Meriden road in the family dollar parking lot. 5 mins from the mall and Walmart respectively. Definitely a hidden gem

Ordered an egg sausage & cheese... what I got was 1 egg, 2 sausage links & a slice of american cheese on a poppy seed roll. The sandwich was basically ROLL. Very dissatisfied for a $6 sandwich. Never ever saw any restaurant put only ONE egg on a breakfast sandwich. Their homefries were edible.

Food was great!! Very fresh and didn't take long on coming out. I went on a weekday and it was getting busy. Not overly crowded but that place is small so with 20 people in there, it seems like a HUGE amount. They should look into expanding into a bigger area to fit people more comfortably. Some people there were even bumping with others while walking out the door. The ladys working there seem to be in a rush too. They were nice but seem to be very rushed and as if they had alot on their plate. Not a relaxing vibe for sure but food was great! I would never go there on a weekend though.

Nice small Mom&Pop diner. Stopped by for a quick bite. Fresh hot food, clean and warm environment. Staff is friendly and helpful. A nice neighborhood eatery.
