It's a family friendly environment. My children grew up in the area and they enjoyed the park and had great childhood experiences, playing basketball, baseball, many baseball tournaments and swimming at the pool. Now my grandchildren are getting the same experience but with a much better and improved field. I highly recommend families to enjoy this great friendly and family orientated park..

I grew up in this park all year long had a lot of fun in this park I live in El Paso Texas now but when ever I talk about home in Waterbury I always tell people about Washington park the swimming pool or just about skipping school and just hanging out in the park all day

All I can say is that it's a park It seemed very well taken care of and clean There was a nice playground set up for children as well as a free community pool with volunteer life guards. I thought that was really nice to do for the people of Waterbury including myself who doesn't have alot if money to spend. Even if you did have to pay it would still be worth it as the pool is also so clean! 10/10 would have a date here its so nice here 😊

Another one of my childhood parks. Mostly for playing sports or talking a walk. Big open fields. There is a small playground for the kids but not much else

Everything at this park is falling apart ; jungle gym is broken in multiple places ; only 2 baby swings out of four ; the paint on the slides are chipping and the sprinklers area is clogged that whenever it rains its filling up like a pool This park is horrible but my kids love it ; they really need to fix it ! My son got hurt mutplie times because things are broken !

Washington Park was a community get together, a meet and greet. It was held to show people just what is out there if they need help, or someone they know could use something. Each section of Waterbury holds a Neighborhood meeting once a month. It informs you of things that may of happened to your neighbor, who now that he is older is not out in the yard that much anymore. Our local Policewoman comes on her own time to our meetings. The same with other neighborhood meetings, known what is going on in your part of town. We have fundraisers for the flasgs seen flying on poles, in town. This Thursday from 4 to 7pm, we are at Arby's on Wolcott Road, to help us buy more flags, please come to dine and help out. See you there.
