A small restaurant lit with fairy lights and candles coupled with slow relaxing ambient music. Though a small venue the tables are spaced out quite well so you are not on top of the other guests. The decor makes you feel like you are in a mountain village in Spain. The service staff were very attentive, proactive and thoughtful. They engage really well with guests. The food was fantastic, comes piping hot, the pork belly melts in your mouth and the chicken was extremely tender and moist, everything was well seasoned and tasty. It’s a great spot for a special occasion dinner in Waterford

If I could give Bodega 5+ * then I would. This gem of a restaurant was an absolute delight. Food was superbly delicious. Service was gentle but very effective. Atmosphere had a positive vibe between the chatter from contented customers combined with the low key music in the background. Every dish we selected was mouth watering & lip smacking yum-sious! I can only highly recommend a visit if in Waterford.

Amazing service. Food came on time; warm and tasteful. The ambience was nice and the interior of the restaurant was quite classy but not outdated. I’d recommend this place to folks who are looking for a nice evening out on a date or with the pals!

Our starter's were wonderful and main courses looked amazing. The little we ate of them was lovely but unfortunately they didn't bring one of our main courses and to cut a long story short it was not dealt with very well by the manager, he was not very nice. We left without dessert or coffee, they did not charge us for the wine. ..but the night was ruined. It was so sad as we had been really looking forward to it having driven down from Wicklow. Ah well probably won't be going back.

Absolutely stunning afternoon tea here with my friend. Service was attentive but discreet, food Michelin star standard, price unbelievably good value! Lovely and relaxed setting and unlimited coffee refills -- we're still raving about it to everyone two weeks later!

This is definitely my favourite place to eat in Waterford. Third time back today and it didn't disappoint! The food is always presented beautifully, almost too good to eat! Great for lunch and dinner and afternoon tea here is out of this world, on a different level to anything I've had before , really demonstrating skill and passion for creating tasty food. The atmosphere is chilled, the decor is on point and you'd be hard pressed to find a better casual fine dining experience. Staff very friendly and totally respectful of COVID 19 restrictions. Can't wait to go back!

Really good food, very tasty and well done. The atmosphere is good, the drinks were amazing 🍸 I would go back for a nice date dinner or something more special. I wouldn't say much about the service because I don't like people coming to the table all the time. But I understand that they are trying to keep everybody happy.

Our table was booked for 9pm and the pressure to order started immediately after we set down. At 9:07 we got an ultimatum ans we should order until 9:10 otherwise we would not be able to order anymore. I understand the kitchen closes, but if you book a table for 9pm you need to give people some time to order without all that stress and pressure. My first experience here was not good at all...

Food was absolutely delicious, really couldn't fault it. Menu could be a little more adventurous in relation to vegetarian options. The atmosphere in the room is not great due to the noise. Service was not what was expected - slow and got charged for tea/coffee which we never received. Undecided if I would visit again.

Delicious food and great service. We've ordered the charcuterie & cheese board for starter, which was really nice, especially the bread! For the main, I had a pork belly which was cooked beautifully and had a lovely crackling. The service was so fast that we were in and out in 30min. Highly recommend it.

Such a warm and cosy atmosphere the minute you walk in. Lovely friendly staff, approaching us straight away. We were in time for the early bird menu which is a starter and a main for €23. I had the St Tolas Goats Cheese Starter which was lovely and then the prawn linguine which has to be the best I've ever had! A big portion and so filling. They also make great cocktails and have an extensive wine menu. Will definitely be going again.

Lovely place. We walked in off the street, it was very very busy. They squeezed us in. We only had main course, but both of them were delicious. Fish was done to perfection. Ps booking is advised.

I really enjoyed my food it was reasonable in price. The drinks were great. This can be a hit and miss venue sometimes, sometimes the food isn't always as good. People at my table had a real issue witj the service it was slow and we were waiting a little to order/for help sometimes but to be fair the restaurant was very busy. The staff were very nice.

I don’t know what has happened with bodega but it has really gone down hill , we have been many times but on our last visit it was terrible. Service was terrible , the manager needs to be removed as he is very unfriendly, our table were served our food at different stages and the food was ok at a push . It will be our last visit and definitely wouldn’t recommend

One can see and feel that the driving force behind this place are people who with unique ideas who care and ove what they do. The menu is creative and well balanced. One of the best meals I had in a restaurant. Familiar ingredients were shaped into something new and exciting. Most importantly, everything was delicious. Warm and cosy interior. Simple but beautiful. We will be travelling back to Waterford just for the Old Couch Cafe.

A hidden gem of a cafe in the heart of Waterford. I cannot recommend the Old Couch enough! The food is outstanding and you can really taste the love and attention that they put into the food and that this is more than just a job for them. The atmosphere is always great in the cafe and with a constant changing / evolving menu, there is always something new to love.

This is a real gem. Lovely Mediterranean cuisine. The chives butter with the Guinness brown bread is to die for. Quite reasonable. Bring your own alcohol /wine. Lovely couple running this place.

This is a small, beautifully decorated restaurant with sublime food presented to perfection. The owners are both chefs and their attention to detail and flavours shows their passion for food. I'm not normally one to go for desserts but I couldn't resist ... divine. Best of luck to them on their new venture, hope this gets the business it deserves.

We had an amazing dinner (take-out due to Covid) for our 10th wedding anniversary. The food was comparable to Michelin star quality. The desserts were top notch. I cannot wait to have a sit in meal here.

Out of this world - best afternoon tea selection ever. Got a present of take away afternoon tea from The Old Couch Cafe, Waterford. Menu and pictures attached but they don't do justice to the taste of the goodies. If you want to spoil someone get them the take away afternoon tea and you will have a friend for life.

We had an amazing time today enjoying their afternoon tea! Damira was fabulous looking after us, the place was beautiful and the food was incredible. Lemon, poppy seed & almond scones with jam & butter. Pepper, sweetcorn & chicken in charcoal buns. Goat's cheese, fig & walnut on Guinness brown bread. Fish cakes & like creme fraiche. Pear & earl grey sorbet. Upside down Baileys & coffee cheesecake. BlackBerry crumble. Hazelnut panna cotta. And some chocolate dipped gold dusted strawberries as a bonus for our anniversary!

Literally the best food in Waterford city by a mile they say you eat with your eyes well ...it looks so good u almost dont want to eat it...but tastes as good as it looks !!

Fantastic spot on O'Connell Street in Waterford City for lunch or dinner. Had the beef stew with homemade brown bread 😋. Owners are lovely everything super fresh. Make sure to check out Axe Junkies just up the road from Old couch cafe also 🙂 for something to do after.

The Old Couch is an absolute gem. Simply the best place for food in Waterford City and I won't be told other wise! Since their opening I have rarely eaten out elsewhere because what more would you want; the menu is lovely, the food is just perfection and service is always brilliant. If you want great food in a funky setting then look no further. Great veggie options and make sure to leave room for dessert. Also hugely recommend afternoon tea if you're lucky enough to get a booking!

Absolutely gorgeous lunch here, I had been eyeing them up since just before lockdown so scooted in the first chance I got. The food was out of this world and it was so reasonably priced. There were plenty of veggie options for me and meat options for my partner, and the desserts were stunning. Words can’t convey the deliciousness and the outstanding presentation of the dishes and the atmosphere was so wonderful. Damira was so welcoming and polite and we literally cannot wait to get back here (but it gets booked so quickly we just have to plan on advance!)

The big buzz for me about Bodega is the decor. Plus they are the only restaurant in Ireland I have come across that knows how an Americano is actually made. A really interesting menu with good food though a little on the pricey side.

We had a nice meal here. The scallops & crème brûlèe were delicious. The burger was bland & overcooked. The pork belly was also overcooked but a delicious plate.

We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation on a recent trip to Waterford, and it was well worth it. The service was extremely polite and friendly as soon as we entered, the atmosphere was lively and had a great buzz. The food was second to none, we shared the lobster croquettes, and each had the pork belly mains, which was deliciously crispy on top and melt in the mouth soft underneath. No room for dessert, but a great excuse to return!

The staff are friendly and professional and very welcoming, the food was delicious..I had sirloin steak that was melt in the mouth and as a butcher of 33 years it was one of the nicest steaks I've eaten...my friend had the monk fish which was also delicious... desserts were Turkish delight chesscake and a hot chocolate brownie... mouthwatering....and the candle in the brownie for my friends birthday was a lovely touch...I'll definitely will be back 10/10

Fantastic Food but experience ruined by over eager staff. Couldn't relax throughout the meal everything rushed. Left feeling from the moment we sat down that the staffs main objective was to get us back out as quick as possible.

So bad and disappointing . Thai green curry had Brussels sprouts and mushed parsnips Sent two cremated pizzas back as were inedible ( don’t ever complain ) .Had family home for Christmas and tried to support local . Def won’t go back again . Uluru way superior . Girl serving was very nice and understanding Deserved her tip

This restaurant is one of the best in Waterford and has been here many years. It was a busy evening and a Christmas party the night I dined here. All of this been said...the food was disappointing. On a Christmas menu the option of Turkey and Ham is always my go to, however the meat was unrecognisable in appearance and taste and the potatoes were hard. The staff were exceptional and made the experience. Unfortunately the food was a big let down.
