You drive up the "magic road" and get to a car park, and a 10 minute walk into the valley you see several waterfalls cascading from the top. Great main waterfall, easily accessible, you can climb up it pretty much as much as you like.

Very great pc of nature. No entry fee. Does not matter if there is raining pr sunny day… you will enjoy it. The way is also suitable for strollers. Great place for just quick stop.

If you want a more authentic Irish experience these falls are perfect. Sheep roaming all the hills three streams of water feeding one creek and the main falls in the center are a fun climb if you wish to tackle it. It feels like you're in nature's cathedral for kings.

Path are well laid and easy access for families with kids. The views are spectacular! Maybe have bins by carpark so people can throw their garbage there instead of on the ground.

Beautiful area, well worth a visit. Mountain walks, hidden parks and forests, its a good day out. Can get very cold up there and the roads ice up easily. Not a great idea to stay after dark if in winter. Summer no issues. Plenty of parking, outstanding views.

Nice water falls and enjoyable place if the weather is great. A short walk from the parking lot to the water falls makes it a nice place for a short trek. Nice view of mountains on both sides along the walk path

Gorgeous place to visit! The views were breathtaking and the road to Mahon Falls was so scenic. We got lucky and there were barely any other people there when we visited so it felt like we had this little oasis to ourselves. The sheep were roaming freely and it was such a peaceful spot!

Wow! This place is breathtaking, literally, it is so windy it almost makes you fly away. I definitely recommend a hat and something to protect against the cold winds. But it is completely worth it.

It is definitely worth a visit. Views are beautiful. People from local area visit it often just for a walk with children. It's popular hiking place as well. Much cooler at any time of the year so get extra layer or hat with you. At the moment there is works done to improve car parking as cars parked on the side for a long distance make it harder to get through

A pleasant spot with impressive views of the waterfall. Road access to the car park is good and roads are in excellent condition. Car park has ample space Good 5G reception too and video called family from the bottom of the waterfall

An absolutely epic place in south Ireland. We parked at the car park and meandered up the peak, around the falls, and back down the other side with the sheep. Not very clearly marked trails, but highly recommend for the views. Will definitely be back.

Weather was brilliant and although the waterfall wasn’t falling too much this is a well marked and clear path from the car park to the falls. Very easy walk up until you get to the falls, from there you can explore higher at whatever your level of hiking is. Very nice walk for the kids and a few splash pools at the bottom that are really nice for the kids if they want to cool down.

An absolute bliss! A very quiet place with a 10min walk from the car park. Climbing the hill is a very interesting task and the view from the top is amazing.

It's a 15 minutes walk from the car park. It's a nice relaxing and scenic walk. You can enter the waterfalls if you like.

These waterfalls are amazing. It is bit of a drive to get there but it is worth it. From The parking lot it's about a 15 minute walk to the actual waterfall. There are steep mountains all around you and sheeps everywher, too.

Wonderful place to visit. About a 15 minute walk from carpark but we'll worth it. Path is pushchair friendly for those with kids. Bring hiking boots if you like climbing rocks. My son (7) had a ball

Visited Mahon falls right after a rainy day, please check weather before planning the day. Drive up the mountain to park and walk (it definitely wasn’t a 20 minute walk) it took upto 30-40 minutes upto the falls, you’d be rewarded with the most amazing 180 degree views of the landscape. Wear sturdy hiking boots or trekking shoes. Bring a snack or two, rest on the huge rocks have a hot cuppa and soak in the views as long as the mighty weather is kind enough. We had a lucky day with less wind and sunshine the first half of the day. One can spend about 2-3 hours and more. Listening to the flowing river Mahon was an experience by itself. Lamb spotting too

Easy walk up to the waterfall. Would recommend for any type of walker. Probably 30mins out and back.

Absolutely beautiful! A true Ireland hike. It’s an out and back trail. Total hike is 1.5 miles. Easy enough hike. And there are sheep grazing along the way.

A photo (particularly mine) will never do this place justice. It is so spectacular. If anyone is wondering if a detour to this place is worth it, it 100% is. Its a stunning walk down to the waterfall that doesn't take to long and is mostly flat so no issue if you aren't fit. One of the best places to go in the area. Loved it!

Beautiful and scenic walk. Surrounded by mountains and it's so quiet. The waterfall is gorgeous. Very recommended.

A grand scenic walk in the Comeragh Mountains. Good food available nearby in Cooney's Yard on way down to Mahon Bridge !

Very nice hike to stretch your legs. Beautiful view of the valley as well. Falls a bit underwhelming but maybe low water due to lack of rainfall? Parking lot under construction, so be prepared to walk.

A lovely light walking stroll along a gravel path down to the main falls but then you can take your own trails which are rocky. You need proper hiking shoes if you choose the trails up to the falls ridge. Cool clear shallow ponds to refresh yourself on a beautiful Summer day so bring your costume. No toilet facilities, about 50 car park capacity. No coffee shops at the park but a lovely one near the main road. No bbq or picnic facilities, not sure if open fires are allowed. Roaming sheep so dogs on leash at all times. There is wild life as well like rabbits and dogs will cause chaos if off leash. Obey the rules at all times to ensure sheep, people and dogs have a lovely day adventuring.

Amazing stunning mountain views. Lots of sheep. A lot less water than usual due to drought still worth the easy walk which is possible for pushchairs and maybe wheelchairs to falls. Experienced hikers that like a challenge can climb to top.

Beautiful location and to look at. Google maps will take you all the way, but you'll have to park up and walk the last 15 minutes. It was worth it as the whole 360 view of mountains was mesmerising.

Great place to visit. You have a path to the Falls so ok for a buggy. If you want to climb up beside the Falls parts are boggy so don't wear your good trainers! I went with my 10 year old. We both really enjoyed it.

Was travelling back to Wexford from Cork when saw the signpost for the falls and decided to detour as had time in hand. Really pleased we did the detour as the last part of the drive was spectacular taking us into the mountains. Free parking near the falls and about a 15-20 min walk along a fairly decent path to get to the base of them. Scenery was stunning and reminded us of the Lake District but the falls drop quite a long way down so in photos it's difficult to see the scale of them.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Really nice waterfall. There are two trails one come straight from car park and it's easy gravel path through the valley. There is lovely picnic area near the waterfall.
