Great customer service, me and my boyfriend go here once a month when we visit Waterford, I asked for a plastic fork one time because I'm allergic to metal and the woman serving us remembered the next time we came and brought me a plastic cutlery set with my breakfast without having to ask for it, not something I expect someone to remember since they see countless people but it was really nice

We had lunch in here last Thursday, after travelling 6 or 7 cafe's looking for gluten and dairy free lunch which is near possible to find as my partner is gluten and dairy intolerant. Well it was truly worth all the effort. This my friends is a gem. Nothing was a problem, this was the best gluten and dairy free lunch that my partner has had,and the coffee was to die for. We will be stopping here for lunch any time we are in Waterford.

Just popped in for a coffee... I have to say it was the nicest latte I’ve had in a very long time... and the scone fresh from the oven was a bonus!... lovely friendly staff adds to the experience .with Costa across the road and McDonald’s down the road ... please support the local small businesses!!... will definitely be back when I’m back in Waterford

Terrible attitude EDIT: You had an issue with me sitting in your outdoor seating (which was more or less completely empty) and finishing something which I was in the middle of eating for all of 2 minutes, while waiting for the coffees we were purchasing from you. Also, we could only order coffees from you as you were not serving food at this time! Your explanation is completely inaccurate and lacks context. In my opinion, it really is just so petty. We would have been gone on our way with your coffees asap. Who cares if someone sits there for a minute or two. Learn to relax and not be so petty.

First time here with my boyfriend who is vegetarian - finding a place to get a good veggie breakfast is very hard in town, so we were delighted to see vegetarian options on menu. Absolutely love the 80's music, staff were very friendly, the place has a great family atmosphere, the food is delicious and really good portions.

Had lunch here yesterday, the best chicken soup I've ever had out. Delicious. We also had pasta carbonara which was good. We've had breakfast here a few times, which is always very tasty. Rashinda is always smiling and very helpful as are all the staff. Would highly recommend this cafe to anyone.

Why have I not come here before!? Dropped in for a veggie breakfast for myself, and a mini Irish for my missus. First, the service. PERFECT. So friendly and welcoming! Second, the food. I like my fried eggs a particular way (cooked to death), that I often get a 'hmph' about - not here! No problem, and done perfect! [Also, the homemade brown toast was gorgeous] Third, the music. Not mad loud, could enjoy it, but still have a chat, AND an 80's playlist! Then, to top it - the lady waiting our table is one of the owners, the lady who took our order the other owner - and the husbands made our food! A PROPER family business! 100% recommend, 1000% will be back.

We had Chicken wraps and cappuccinos, which was delicious. Staff was very friendly . Would definitely go back again and recommend 100% 👌

I dont know why people with little knowledge about food think that they can yell at customer face. Got my open sandwich today, which says on menu on sourdough bread(I love sourdough bread bth.) Unfortunately I got it on white slice from pack. I am not fussy, so said to myself still gonna have,but wanted to let ladies know that wud be nice if they had actual sourdough bread if they say on menu so. The lady looked at me and said -it is sourdough bread, I said no its not. So she kept arguing with me,despite I already paid 12€ for that one slice of white bread and some salad on it... Staff are very pleasant but do not complain about your dish even if you think it isn't wat you got ,becouse youll be called wrong and you just gonna have to eat if with dissapointed face😐

Had a lovely coffee and catch up yesterday while at Winterval, staff could not have been nicer. Special shout out to the fabulous waitress who had to deal with the rudest couple I've seen in a long time. Used the Olive Cafes outdoor seating to eat food bought elsewhere, refused to move when asked and worse still one of the pair had the gall to follow the waitress back into the cafe and continued to berate her. Through it all this awesome lady kept a smile on her face and was way politer than she should have been. Will definitely be back.

Hands-down so far, one of the best places with customer service. Stopped in for a late lunch . Had the soup and sandwich combo did their soup and absolutely loved it! Creamy vegetable soup, on point. Toasty sandwich absolutely amazing! Pricing is reasonable. I had the soup and sandwich combo, bottled water, soda, and a caramel bar dessert bar to go… €20. I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast experience at The Olive Cafe located in Waterford City, I ordered their Eggs Benedict, and it was truly wonderful. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked,Not only was the food outstanding, but the overall experience was also exceptional. The service was prompt and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cafe's cozy ambiance added to the enjoyment of the meal.

A gorgeous cafe in the heart of the city. Choice to eat indoors where you can sit upstairs and people watch as city is your view or outdoors soaking up the cities atmosphere. Staff were extremely warm and welcoming. Food was homely, gorgeous presentation and full of flavour. Hands down the BEST tomato soup I've ever had!!! A must try when here. Will be back again!!!

Our group of 4 were walking up the Main Street and 2 of us had a takeaway coffee in our hand from down the road. We spotted this cafe and thought it would be nice for breakfast. We were refused service on account of having a takeaway coffee in our hands from another coffee shop despite wanting to give them our money based on their ‘policy’.

yeah not great, we ordered breakfast, teas and cappuccinos, didn’t get the teas. upon telling the waitresses we were treated extremely poorly because apparently “they were right” and “we didn’t order the teas”. we had to pay extra for the teas they didn’t give us, plus there was dust in the milk they served us with the tea? lmao getting gaslit by the waitress was certainly an interesting travelling experience 💀

Der Kaffee ist gut und der Kuchen ist sehr lecker dort. Wir können dieses Kaffee auf jedenfall empfehlen und werden es mit sicherheit wieder besuchen kommen. The toilet is clean too. The coffee is good and the cake is delicious there. We can definitely recommend this coffee shop and will definitely visit again. I saw a previous review which is pretty much the exact same experience I had when I was having my McDonald's breakfast, while waiting for my parents and we had the dog with us. I appreciate its your own outside area, but when it's a.outside b. I had the dog and c.for 5 odd minutes I personally think they could relax just a little bit. If it was inside I would appreciate it a bit more. The lady wasn't too pushy about it but I only had one thing and I ate it fairly fast anyway, that's why it's 3 stars. Won't be back anytime soon anyway but just a heads up for future reference...personally when it's outside and not for very long...lighten up just a little bit.

One of the best place in Waterford for Breakfast , Food served is fresh and tasty , worth the price , good options to choose from , friendly staff , outdoor seating in the heart of the town and makes one of the best Omelette's. Definitely recommended and also will surely visit again.

The menu was class, the food is top class, the staff is top class, its not over priced, It's very friendly, very clean and I just loved it. We will be back again and again. Excellent and personal service. Best tea in Waterford. Had a very enjoyable lunch here and the staff were very kind to the new foster dog which I was caring for that day. The food is delicious and it is. Very reasonable for what you get. One of my favourite places in Waterford.

I spent last weekend in Waterford with my brother and sister and had the most amazing breakfast at the olive cafe. The coffee is just how I like it and the service is 5 star, I highly recommend this spot fir a coffee, lunch or breakfast

We had lunch here on Saturday. Sat outside under an umbrella with our dog. The waitress was lovely and welcomed us and the dog. The leek and potato soup was very salty but the coffee was very good. It's a nice place for lunch or breakfast and central too.

The breakfast are lovely. The coffee wasn't great, the overall process to ordering was confusing. The location is perfect center of town however I'd only come back for a breakfast with either tea or orange juice. Also the milk jugs are tiny.
