Excellent service. Their crew works so well together. Servers are attentive and kind. Breakfast options are great. My Strawberry Crepes Combo was very yummy. Their deserts look fabulous. I should try them next time. Also, those sayings on the walls are hilarious. If you want breakfast in bed, you sleep in the kitchen for instance.

My meal was Excellent! I had the roast turkey. The apple pie and ice cream was incredible. The restaurant was clean and the restroom sanitary. Brittany was very attentive and had a wonderful personality. She answered my questions regarding the entrees accurately. I wish more servers had her positive attitude. I'll definitely be back next time I am in town.

Very good dining experience. Seems to be busy all day. Still they pleasant and helpful. The pies are very good. Even now with the restrictions on restaurants they are still quite busy. Been going there for breakfast every week and the build your own breakfast fills me up to almost to full.

Boy ole boy, I am a huge fan of breakfast and this place spoke to my appetite. I typically don't eat all my food and although I didn't here, I wanted to; it was good. It is one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. The staff were nice and attentive. The place was clean. I went to the Village Inn a few years ago during my first time in Waterloo. It left an impression then and it lets just say, they did again.

What a horrible experience. If I could post a negative star I would. I will not be going back to this location. Table for 2 we ordered Corn Beef Hash and Eggs and Biscuits and Gravy and 2 coffees. The corned beef was severely under cooked, the eggs were asked to cook medium and they were under easy very runny and clear liquid. My sausage for my biscuits looked like they cooked them in the same dirty pan as the corned beef and part of one patty looked pink and was mushy and indication it was under cooked as well. Biscuits were dry and hard with this mush they call gravy tasted like flour. When we went to pay the hostess was unalarmed of our experience. Didn't even attempt to get a manager or make anything right. They weren't even busy.

We went in for breakfast and there was a line so we waited. The manager approach us and asked if a table was ok and I said we perfer a booth. He said to me we don't have any booths available and I am the only one here so you will have to wait awhile I said that was fine. So we sat down even though he had 3 empty booths. There was another gentleman waiting and asked for a glass of water and the same guy said to him it's gonna be awhile I am the only one here. We finally got to our booth and ordered a drink for the gentleman which he never got and was put on my bill. No big deal the manager I thought was rude he should be retrained when he gets overwhelmed with so many people coming in. If it wasn't for the customers they wouldn't be open.

Service was AWESOME. We had a very large group, and our waiter handled everyone with smiles and grace and 😊 I was only in Iowa for the weekend, so I really appreciated the hospitality 😍

Long strand of hair in food, soggy meats even after asking for hard bacon and sausages, sarcastic rude comments from kitchen staff and the waitress to the kitchen staff about us and the hard meats and hair. They continued giving us looks from the kitchen and laughing and making comments saying thats the table with the complaints and remakes as if there was a door. We sat right by the kitchen and could hear and see everything they were saying about us and still brought out food incorrectly. Why arent any gloves or hair nets being used by anyone in the kitchen. Very unpleasant dine in experience. Did not eat the food, took it to go and gave it away. Will not return or recommend. Waste of a 75 dollars.

My family of 5 plus my in-laws, total of 7 people, came here for dinner after a full day at Lost Island Water Park. The atmosphere was quiet and clean, our server was personable and professional, and the food was beyond delicious. I highly recommend the "Grown Up Grilled Cheese" sandwich. Everything you look for in a reliable restaurant, this location for Village Inn has it.

The place is dirty. All you could smell was the bathrooms. Yuck!! We told the manager and he blamed it on a customer that must have done it. Food was ok. Service was slow and she got the order wrong. The manager said oh sorry. Won't be back!!

This was my very first time dining here, as well as my co-worker, we are both here, for business. We have never met a waitress that spent more time in the kitchen than she did asking us for refills or asking my co-worker if he would like more fish, he had endless fish. She seemed as though she hated her job! By the way, the Peanut butter cup pie, was horrible!

My wife and I have always enjoyed Village Inn and this was no different. Good food and pleasant atmosphere. My wife used to work for Village Inn and was considered one of the best and became a lead trainer, many times being called to travel out of town to train new hires.

We ate here 11:30 a.m. Easter morning. It looked busy with many cars in the parking lot. When I walked in I was greeted by the Manager & young lady. Yes of course they had room for two. This restaurant was well organized with everyone busy helping each other to clean tables & other duties. Our waitress was excellent (name maybe Kierra). Food was delicious & arrived in a timely manner even with how busy they were today. I heard both managers tell the staff at different times "You're doing a great job!" Most of the staff was teens but were dressed appropriately & very courteous! We will eat here again when in the area!

I can only recommend the place in general if going there for breakfast. If you don’t want breakfast, skip it. It’s not worth the cost as you could go to any other restaurant and have better tasting/food quality. I got the all you can eat fish dinner and the fish pieces were kinda hard and stringy inside as if they were overbooked, but didn’t have signs of it. It’s also super greasy. Service was ok (not spectacular as I needed a refill for half the meal). Also the butter they brought out for one of my kids had a fly that was alive tossing around inside the butter. We asked for a new butter and that was at least fly-free (there was an abundance of flies seen flying around the place).

Servers are great! Very attentive, helpful, and nice and enjoyable to have serve you. Even when busy they’re always on it. Complaint is to the managers who stand upfront talking with each other while our server needed help. They should be taking more initiative helping out the staff. Turkey Bacon Avocado melt tasted great! Definitely would recommend trying it!

This rue waitress named Jennifer assumed we asked for a discount because our waitress Emma asked how was our food and we proceeded to tell her the food was great but the hasbrowns were a lil burnt she blurted out “you will not receive a discount “ as if we were able to pay for our food called the location back for an apology and she refused to give us one then the general manager Jeff threatened to call the police! Me and my family will not be back to this location and this is how you treat black people?! She was only rude to us!!!!!! I’m calling corporate first thing Monday morning!!!!!!WE WILL NOT BE BACK, EVER ALSO HER DAUGHTER FAITH WAS RUDE AS WELL
