Was looking for a place to kill time my toddler son in Watford. Noticed this large park on Google maps, and tested. Was nicely surprised, it turned to be on of top UK parks by voting. It is really good, spacious, very green, has a wetlands reserve, rich playground, green area, walking paths, open air gym, fountains and shallow pools! Kids really have massive fun here. There public toilets, cafes and tap water stand. Everything is quite new, not much wear and tear. Enjoyed lock operations to move a boat upstream. Great experience! Parking is super busy there, arrive early, or choose a underground station nearby. More or less people start to leave only at 5 pm. It is a full day family time.

What an amazing park! With the beautiful clean river, and woodland walks, this was a brilliant place to visit.....and the cafe was great as well. You can also walk along the Grand Union canal that runs through the park, so all-in-all, lots to see....enjoy the peace!

This is my number one park for a day out with kids on a hot summer day! Splash pools are so much fun and it's so well organised! There are parasols and benches, even changing rooms. And best of all entry is free! The park is massive! Plenty of space for everyone and a lot of picnic tables. Mini rail for £2.50/pp is also a great addition 👍Big playground with a bouncy castle and trampoline for an extra charge. This place is also great for walks as it's a nature reserve. Kids loved splashing in a river too. Definitely coming back.

It is an enormous park. Amazing facilities which have been maintained very well. They have a huge play area with a bouncy castle and bungee jump trampoline. The bouncy castle and trampoline closes in the evenings. The water park is quite big with a small pool and seating along the perimeter. There is a weir and a lock for boats. There is a miniature railway as well. There are even small fish in the stream that runs through the park. Parking is free after 6pm.

Absolutely love the walks in cassiobury park, walked here often during the spring and summer and occasionally in the autumn. Went on long and short walks, great for walking different routes deep into the woods and see all different kinds of nature trees and flowers. Would recommend here for a peaceful walk!

I love my local park! Cassiobury Park in Watford is huge! There’s so much to do tennis, basketball, outdoor table tennis, gym area, cafe. During summer time there’s also little water park for kids. So much trails to explore and just wonderful scenery.

Came here for a walk and haven't been here for quite some time but it was really good. The parking is free for two hours. There is a splash park and playground for the children and a wonderful cafeteria for everyone. It was a really hot day but the walk through the woods and by the canal was really nice. Sorry I thought it inappropriate to take pictures of the splash park and playground as there were children present.

Busy on BH weekend as you would expect! Lots to do for the kids, decent park with zip wire etc, miniature steam train, today there was trampoline and inflatable slides etc too, also has water park which is free to use with changing rooms. We love it you can also walk from here to the canal and to Whippendell woods which are beautiful this time of year.

It’s surprised me every time. With every time new functions and activities which played by the people. Best place for peace. Add to more for photography as well. Picnic enjoyment, even swimming pool for children. Some places specially for couples. In the last, Stress buster garden.

Lovely Place! I spent my whole day there till sunset. We can feed the ducks. Lake is so beautiful and clean. It was a lovely experience. Cafe is so good and the breakfast was so delicious. After spending time there, we walked to the Watford Town centre. Must visit it too. It is also an amazing place with yummy food.

Watford's largest and most enjoyable park. You can always come across an event there. There is a pleasant park area for children. There is a nice walking track by the river and it relaxes you a lot. Indispensable place for weekends.

Alarmed open park with lots of walks and routes to follow. It has a great little water park for kids to play in but when we were there there was quite a large queue to get in. The areas were clean and tidy with people putting rubbish in the bins. The car park is free for up to 2 hours but when we went it took some time to find a find a spot. But saying that it is great place to visit.

Beautiful park and a wonderful place to spend the day with all of the family. There is a car park (first 2 hours are free) which is just a short walk to the park itself where you can use Ringo or pay and display. It does get pretty busy but we were able to get a space after around 3 or 4 minutes of waiting. Once in the park there is a fantastic kids playground and water park. When we visited there were also some fairground rides and huge bouncy castles which were around £2 per child. The little railway is always a hit with children big and small. It costs £2 for the short train ride but is definitely worth it for a bit of fun! We found the toilets on site to be clean and well maintained and there was lots of hand sanitiser dotted around the park. The cafe on site tends to get very busy so secure a table a little before you want to eat / feed the kids as when we ordered there was a 50 minute wait for food (and that was after queuing for around 20 mins). Food are drink prices are not exorbitant but the park is a great place to bring a picnic if you don’t want to spend at the cafe. All in all, a wonderful family oriented park which we enjoyed thoroughly. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Cassiobury Park is an absolutely fantastic park and a must-visit for anyone in the Watford area. It's a large, well-maintained park with something for everyone, from beautiful gardens and nature trails to playgrounds and sports fields. One of the highlights of the park is the river and canal that runs through it. It's a picturesque spot that's perfect for a stroll or picnic. The park also has a wide range of activities and events throughout the year, including concerts, festivals, and sports tournaments. The facilities at the park are top-notch. There are clean and well-maintained public restrooms, ample parking, and plenty of seating and picnic areas. Overall, Cassiobury Park is a fantastic destination for a day out with friends or family. Whether you're looking to relax in the sun, go for a walk, or participate in a range of activities, there's something for everyone at this park. Highly recommended!

Great place to take the kids on a warm-hot day. Great facilities to change with private cubicles. On-site cafe has a variety of hot and cold drinks, food and all important ice cream. Not cheap so you can bring your own and enjoy eating in the wet area on the benches. The entrance and exits are unmanned and not self closing so you need to watch your kids all the time before they disappear out of sight. Buggy friendly and accessible - water is not too deep in the splash park and plenty of space for kids to run around and even play with water guns! Lots of fun. Outside the splash park there is a pretty well equipped playground with usually equipment plus also a zip wire. Car park is busy on warm days so parking might be tricky to find but car park can hold around 200 cars. First 2 hours free but make sure you still register with RingGo for the free 2 hours so you can add more hours later. Lots of cars assuming free parking doesn’t need registering and getting PCN/tickets! :-/

This park in Watford stands out as the finest one, with the miniature train ride being the main attraction. 🚂 It offers a wonderful ride not just for kids, but also for adults and dogs. 🐕The playground is a big hit with the kids. ⛹️ The cafe serving pizzas and restrooms completes a family trip to the park.🍕 Ps. BBQ NOT ALLOWED.

Lovely large park. But the toilets need cleaning more often. Very smelly and some blocked. Cafe nice, but very small. You can park for free for 2 hours, but make sure you still get a ticket from the machine.

Fantastic park, this is by the way where the Watford Alzheimer’s London Walk is made. A very big park with the wood on the other side, open space for horse riding and bike riding, and a huge playground for the children. And a train ride for the children.

I went here with my friends and their children and family , My child had fun in the splash pool with all of her cousins and friends ! We then went to the cafe and ordered a lunch kid meal for all of the children and some coffee for me and my friends and sisters, although for all of us it was really pricey it was still so yummy,Then we went to the park and the park was very big and had slides, After 1 hour we went on a walk around the park and we found a huge water fall! We just put out legs on top of the waterfall and my children just swimmed a little bit in the waterfall, Then we went to feed the pigeons and ordered pizza to sit down on the fresh grass and had a little picnic , We left at 8pm and had a fantastic day and made memories me and my children and my sisters and my friends will never forget, loved being here, definitely will visit again!
