Nice big wetherspoons which is due to close soon apparently. Haven't been here for about 20 years and I must say, things have improved a great deal- thank goodness. The staff were polite and friendly- I think everyone I saw was smiling. There was a good crowd in but the service did not suffer. My wrap and chips for lunch were lovely and the Guinness was excellent. I'm sure this pub will be missed

Thursday Curry night. Delicious beef madras; tender beef, 2 popadoms, warm naan bread and flavorful rice. What more can you ask for. Comes with soft drinks all for under £7! Highly recommended.

Hi great place to eat/drink. But if it's local art you're after then visit Dacorums creative Art Gallery in the Marlowe's centre Hemel Hempstead.here are some photos.

Watford playing at home so the place was packed out but we managed to get a table. We ordered using the app and we didn't have to wait long for our order. The new hot chicken wings and spicy rice was really good and the refillable coffee ☕ is good value.

From a simple drink or a delicious cocktail, or a healthy meal..or indulged yourself with a steak.this pub offers a wide and varied menu.. great service outdoor area and disabled access throughout. Also a beer garden to the rear.if your single a family or a large group all ages. Great pub in the heart of Watford

Standard spoons, loads of tables, order via the app which is really easy, timing is good on service. Can’t go wrong with a curry.

With Watford being home to Wetherspoons Head Office you would expect The Moon Under The Water to be a flagship pub, sadly not. 9:30 on a Saturday morning and two of the Real Ales on show had run, someone not doing their job properly. As always the toilets are upstairs, it would have been nice if they had put a notice at the bottom of the staircase to say the Gents was out of order and so saving on the trip upstairs to then come back down to use the Disabled toilet.

Enjoyed a long leisurely lunch and some drinks in this lovely spacious and clean venue. All the staff are excellent and provide a friendly cheerful service. The food and drinks were very good in quantity and quality and are at a very good price too. So despite the cost of living hike, it is great to be able to socialise in a great venue. Congratulations to all who make it so good and wish them each and everyone personal and professional success.

It’s usually nice in here, my friends and i went in today at about 6 we ordered drinks (same as usual) i had lemonade since i had forgotten my id which they are usually fine with, my 2 friends who did have id were refused a drink from this blonde gal because suddenly the whole group have to have id, she said that those are HER rules which i don't think is fair since usually its fine. She was super rude about it as well and i hope not to see her again.

You can't beat a good old Wetherspoons! Tasty food at a very reasonable price with mostly every dish coming with a drink so prices very affordable for eating out. Large venue, plenty of seating and quick service. Sadly no pics, highly recommended.

Very large pub so lots of space even before a Watford game. Stadium is only a 15 minutes walk away.

Great local pub with amazing food. Their App is great and I love the ordering system from the app. Good pub with big screens for a match day. Drinks are amazing and nice service. Must visit!

Poor service, cold food, dry cold toast, very very runny eggs that were also cold, cold beans, the whole breakfast was cold. Tea was ordered but no cup given, after waiting for the tea 15 minutes, I was then told to make my own and only then given a cup. I certainly would not return nor recommend.

I was a German tourist and I liked it very much with you. Gladly again next time. Thank you for the great experience. 👌

I adored the ambience, cuisine, and service. An excellent spot for dining and watching games and sports. It is less expensive than the majority of Watford restaurants. Cherished the monent.

Great pud with friendly service. Menu is good with lots of choice... something for and the way you like it. You can not beat the value along with a drink.

Liked the place , lots of variety in food menu and few dishes ate really worth trying, I loved the curries and breakfast options. It's big and had lots of places to sit and enjoy. Lovely staff quick service. One can enjoy the live sports in groups.

Great Pub, lots of seating area and room for dining. Food is available. Outdoor area as well. Football days, it gets manic, plenty of staff, and good turnaround to get served.

Hard to beat for value. I had a breakfast muffin with coffee for £4.11. Very tasty too. The place was busy before 11am so plenty of other people must like Wetherspoon pubs, too.

Our favourite pub to go to in Watford. Good prices for drinks and food. Fabulous atmosphere around and lots of fun. Always happy to come back here. Also it is my dad’s favourite place when he comes to visit me from Slovakia. You should check out this place if you haven’t already. ❤️

Kicked me out for doing drugs in the bathroom based on the word of one person who allegedly saw me doing it in the bathroom yet they had no evidence of it. General Manager was incredibly rude however the other worker who I spoke to was receptive to what I was saying. However, still ruined my evening.

Came in here a fortnight ago but it took an age to clear our table. Yes we could've moved however that's not really the point. Lots of flies buzzing around too but it was a warm evening and the doors were open. When the food arrived, however, it was fine. Watford is a pretty town in comparison to some around the area.

Really enjoyable visit. Old fashioned Wetherspoon. Nice staff, very clean and comfortable. Food excellent. Fabulous prices. Win Win!

Good range of food and drinks to be had. A great place to stop by after work/shopping or catch up with friends and family. Toilets are up a flight of stairs. Tables, hand rails and seating needs a thorough restoring and clean up. It can get really busy and rowdy during the evenings and weekends hence the bouncers

Pleasant atmosphere and nice food. We ventured here for breakfast one morning before getting our train home. The atmosphere was pleasant, early morning so it was quiet just a handful of people. The bar staff were really nice. Polite. Our food arrived in less than 5 minutes of ordering. Bacon was a little on the crispier side than I like it but I still enjoyed my breakfast as a whole. All cooked well and served hot. My wife's vegetarian option was also cooked well and served hot. The whole pub was clean and seem to be well looked after. It is your standard breakfast menu and nothing really wrong with that. Just what you want before a journey home.
