On Watford Heath a traditional pub that also serves decent food. Plenty of staff so no waiting and a wide variety of drinks including locally brewed cask beer. Loos clean where everything worked. It's not huge inside but they have a large marquee and lots of seating outside as well. If coming by car use the local recreation ground close by as that has ample parking

Nice place where go to enjoy the time, beautiful cover garden at side of the bar. It is a lovely place they has staff from diferentes countries and the food is nice and tasty. The only bad think is they no has parking and is a bit difficult to found parking place.

We had heard good things about the Sunday Roast at Royal Oak so made the journey out to check it out our for ourselves. We had booked a table and had a baby with us and the staff had accommodated this for us perfectly. The food blew me away and our only wish is that we lived closer to the pub. Would recommend to everyone and if you go on a Sunday, book in advance.. it’s popular!

Went there before a Watford game, managed to get served quickly, had the chicken burger which was really good, nice beer selection by the tap. Tables outside available.

Very pleasant vibe and friendly staff in a cosy pub located on Watford Heath. They have a good selection of beers, ciders & spirits. They also serve food. I didn't see the menu, but what I saw being served looked really nice. One of Oxhey Village's nicest pubs in my opinion

Visited here for the wake of a good friend. A warm welcome and a superb spread of South African flavoured food. The afternoon went by very quickly and will live long in the memory. There was a pleasant atmosphere in the pub. The only down side is there is not much parking outside, but less than 100 metres away is a small car park for Oxhey Grange Playing Fields and Bowls Club.

Lovely little pub with undercover outside seating and also the ability to sit on the Heath (during warmer weather) with drinks bought from them but in plastic cups (gotta protect the dogs/kids!). Their food is lovely, they make a mean Sunday Roast and the staff are always friendly and very accomodating. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We love the Royal Oak for many reasons, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The drinks selection is spot on, the food is amazing and the location on the green is fantastic! Outdoor area with heaters, places to park motorcycles and cars plus, they show the latest sports as well as have bands and events throughout the year. If you're considering going, GO! We will be coming again (and again) Harley-Davidson and Triumph Team

Reserved the tent for my son's 21st . Had a wonderful evening, everyone said how lovely the pub and the tent was. Food was great, staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they were all so friendly all night. Thank you for an amazing evening.

Stopped off here for lunch with my ladies cycling group - staff very helpful, they opened the back gate for us so we could lock our bikes securely behind the kitchen. Food arrived promptly and was very tasty. My first visit to this place but I will be back.

Second time we come here for sunday roast and they doing have any. Second time we specifically said it on our booking reservation and still managed to disappoint. Hint for chef: Either order enough for the kitchen or get peoples order when they book the table.

Easily best value pub around. simple food on offer at really reasonable cost if you want that and continue to keep prices down in spite of cost of living. Also good pint of San Miguel. Food is of a good standard. Nice bar staff atmosphere.

This place is wonderful 😊 the staff are friendly and prompt. The food is delicious and a nice menu to choose from. They have a great area outside for kids and dogs as they are pet friendly to! LOVE this place deffo recommend!

We were passing The Green on our way into Watford and saw the pub so pulled in on the off chance of getting a table for Sunday Lunch. We were very early and the staff were so obliging and accommodating. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, as were the fresh vegetables. Easy know there was a chef in the kitchen! It was our first time in the Royal Oak but it won't be our last, we will be back. Thanks to all the staff for making our Sunday so special.

The perfect place for a cosy Sunday lunch. The pork belly is next level. Staff really friendly and attentive.

Came here with a friend for pizza on a Tuesday Made outside the pub in pizza oven- lovely Definitely recommend We were able to take the pizza into the pub to eat it there with our drinks

Decent pub, new land and lady seem like a funky couple. Good vibe about the place. Only issue was the music inside was too loud whilst dining so hard to have a chat. But still a good place for a drink.

Hosted a baby shower here yesterday and it couldn’t have been better. I first asked George the day before as we had a problem with our other venue and she got it sorted for me to use the outside area so fast! When we arrived, they made everything so easy and everything ran smoothly. The bar service was friendly and brilliant and the manager was so accommodating. The landlady came down to see us and check we were okay and she was so warm and friendly. We had the most brilliant time and would recommend this beautiful pub to anyone! All of the guests thought it was excellent and had such a good time. I am so glad the other venue didn’t work out as it couldn’t have been better.

Lovely Sunday roasts. Need to ask for chips unsalted if ordering food with chips as they come horribly salty. In reply to your reply, we didn't expect or get free ice creams, you're mistaken there, perhaps thinking of another table. To reiterate the positive.. The roasts are exceptional, well worth a visit on a Sunday.

Absolutely fantastic roast dinner, very enjoyable. So filling we unfortunately didn't have space for dessert! Great Aperol Spritz too. We were under heaters in the awning area, worked perfectly for us. Our pooch was well attended to and the chef came out to say hello. Would definitely recommend.

Had a good fun evening at the Wednesday quiz night with freinds Ate before the quiz, food superb with generous portions. Really enjoyed the evening. Can't wait to return

It seemed a very nice pub but in fairness not the best day to judge it, as they had several events on. But still managed to be extremely friendly and polite.

This was a lovely day with the family and the food was excellent service was slow but they were very busy and when we got the food it was really really good would definitely go again

Very nice little pub with a great atmosphere, we went out the other day with a couple of friends and we really enjoyed the food and the band that was playing that night. We will be back!

Nice staff & quick service, but I had a roast dinner and it was very expensive. Definitely not worth the money. The menu on Sundays is short and the cutlery wasn't sharp.

Brilliant beer, friendly staff. The only issue I had was that my friend's dog got better service than we did and we got really good service. Favourite pub in the Watford area by a long way.
